Avatar f tn Can neuropathy come and go with severe attacks of stabbing pain. Been told by a neuro Dr that what made me think I had neuropathy she has never diagnosed me with it and neuropathy cannot come and go. My internal med Dr has had me on Lyrica for a year and it helps allot with the shooting burning stabbing pains at night. But sometimes it gets real bad.
Avatar f tn But if i had appendicitis wouldnt the pain get worse. My appendix pain comes and goes and sometimes the pain dsnt come for a week. I dont know if this is important or not but every mrning i feel like throwing up and i get headaches and it has been going on for a while now! Does my feeling of throwing up relate to my pain?? What do i do?
Avatar f tn At first it stemmed from my neck, shoulders, and upper back. Soon after I started to feel pain in my chest, both sides right by my armpits, lower back, and abdomen area especially on my right side. The pain is usually sharp. When I do sit for a long period of time, both my right and left sides hurt but more on my right. Recently I had diarrhea for three days straight and then feeling constipated.
Avatar f tn Last night I started having a dull pain on the right side of my abdomen, across from my belly button, it went away today but came back around lunch time. It went away again and now at 2am it has come back. I pressed on my stomach a bit and it send a shooting pain through my belly button area. Its not SUPER painful, just more of a discomfort. I've also started urinating WAY more in the past hour and I'm not sure if its related but my knees began aching REALLY bad out of nowhere.
Avatar f tn But because this kind of pain happened many times in my life and I knew that it would get better when I took probiotics for a few days, so I contested having a surgery and the surgeon agreed to put me on antibiotics overnight and if it gets better then I will continue the antibiotic treatement. The pain still didn’t go away until around 7am the next morning, gradually.
552053 tn?1273331741 My ex husband had the same thing that would come and go for a couple of years and then it became a constant pain that started to intensify. He finally gave up and went to the ER and was diagnosed with appendicitis - his appendix actually ended up bursting as they were removing it. Before that happened, I had no idea you could have what is considered "chronic" appendicitis, but his doctors said yes, it's actually more common than you would think.
Avatar n tn d been suffering from a fever, lower/midline abdominal pain on my right side, and severe diarrhea for several days, and was told by my doctor to go to the ER to rule out appendicitis. Besides my signs/symptoms, the only abnormal finding was a slightly enlarged appendix in the ultrasound and CT. I was told to keep an eye out for things, and to go back asap if things got worse- which they likely would within a reasonably short amount of time.
Avatar n tn Seeing a urologist and so far sounds as if this is not the case. Urine coming back negative for bacteria. These pains come and go without any reason. Its not always there. But I read a story of a lady who's first sign of colon cancer was sciatic pain. My bowel movements seem pretty normal. Any loose stool or constipation resolves itself in a day. I do have hemorrhoids from giving birth to my kids.
Avatar n tn An appendix that ruptures is a very serious and life threatening issue and can lead to death due to blood poisoning, also known as septicemia or sepsis.
Avatar f tn t see anything. Of course this is before the pain gotten as bad as it is now. I am a Veteran and I go to the VA for healhcare. My doctor insists on having an abdominal ultrasound but when I went to the ER, they already did one. I have asked my doctor for a CT scan and HIDA scan but she just said she wanted to repeat the abdoninal ultrasound. She also wants to do a repeat endoscopy. I will try to cut out fatty foods and see if that relieves the pain.
Avatar m tn The typical presentation begins with periumbilical pain (pain around belly button) followed by anorexia (lack of appeitite) and nausea. The pain then usually localizes to the right lower quadrant as the inflammatory process progresses to involve the parietal peritoneum overlying the appendix. This classic pattern of migratory pain is the most reliable symptom of acute appendicitis.
Avatar m tn 4. Appendicitis goes with nausea, vomiting and raised leukocytes in the blood. Appendicitis is painfull at any time you press on area. Bouncing sign is present: lye down on the back and press deeply sopmewhere on your lower LEFT abdomen, then release the pressure quickly. In peritonitis or appendicitis you should feel a sharp pain on the LRQ area. Peritonitis would also show marked inflammation in the blood.
Avatar f tn For 15 years I have had terrible symptoms of hyperthyroidism (heart arrhythmias, racing and pounding heart and palpitations, anxiety disorders, heat intolerance, weight loss despite increased appetite). I have not seen an endocrinologist but once in the ER had my TSH checked and it was 1.5 which I know is normal so I didn't pursue it further. The funny thing is that my symptoms sometimes come and go.
Avatar m tn How can you identify ovarian cyst pain? What is the usual size of the cyst need to undergo surgery? Describe the difference between appendicitis?
Avatar n tn m not vomiting now but the pain is so bad and it even hurts to breathe in or cough or move...is this appendicitis or something serious..?? It didn't start around my naval it started in my sides/flank area and more intesified right side of abdominal area...
Avatar m tn They said that if I was still in pain within the next 2 days, then to come back in. So, the pain got worse and more frequent within the next 2 days. Naturally, we went back in. This time, they were certain it was my appendix. They even called down a surgeon to examine me, and he was certain it was my appendix. He said that they had to do the CT scan first, just in case. So they did the CT scan, and they couldn't find one thing wrong with my appendix.
Avatar f tn It is almost as if there is a huge brick in my stomach. I have been trying to eat as much as I can everyday and when I do eat, it seems like the pain lightens up during a meal. However, a couple of hours before I eat and even a couple of hours after the pain becomes more intense. My bowel movements have not changed much. Sometimes I do have diarrhea and I go everyday but I am always seeing blood in the stool.
Avatar n tn The next day, the stabbing pains had been replaced with a dull, intermittent (from every three minutes to every four hours) pain. I called my doctor and he asked me to come and see him. After seeing him, he referred me to A&E to see the surgeons about possible appendicitis.
Avatar m tn If you are 18 year old male it sounds to me like you have appendicitis, Go to a surgeon tell him you are having problems passing gas and constipation and diarrhea and he will order a laporscopy but tell him to take it out no matter what. I had mine out last week and it I feel remarkably better, and I want to explain to people that the appendix has strange symptoms and will cause real damage if you don't get it removed. Remember contact a SURGEON in your area not a Gastro specialist.
Avatar f tn Lower right abdomen pain is commonly due to appendicitis. The pain, can at times come and go and not give the classic picture. Crohn’s disease, diverticulitis, infection in kidney, kidney stones, constipation, and an abscess in rectus abdominis muscle or psoas muscle can all cause lower right abdomen pain. In your case since the lymph nodes are also swollen, there is a chance that you have either a local infection, vaginitis, cervicitis etc or there is a chance of STD (is that possible?
