Thats not what taper off means. If you stop some meds quickly, you can suffer side effects. Google the phentermine to see what I mean. Point is - don't know if you have one, two, or three docs - but they need to know what you are taking. And its possible the Adderall could help you lose the weight. Yes - you can definitely build a resistance to adderall. I've been taking it for over 3 years and this has been a primary issue I've had with it. Being in grad school, I often find myself suddenly unable to concentrate & then realize that my resistance has built up again. The only thing I can do to help this (besides increasing my dose) is to go about 4-5 days without it. It's far from a good solution, but it does work.

Stimulants are odd...if your doc is good enough to know your heart is well...and that there are no conflicting problems with the prescribed dose he put you on....extra can....well, you can get away with it....though I wouldn'turn do it again...stimulants have a sneaky way of creeping up on you if you form higher dose habits long term....though warnings seem to prohibit overuse of any stimulant....other than perscribed.be cautious and try to find some cognitive ways to deal with pressure....
