Can a gum infection make you sick

Common Questions and Answers about Can a gum infection make you sick

infection

Nicorette really helped me quit Copenhagen…but now I’m obviously addicted to the gum…The gum is obviously better than Copenhagen for many reasons..however..I can tell you that my blood pressure has risen, and I have a low white blood cell count because of the gum. I get sick all the time due to this. If I over chew it I’ll get a sore throat and eventually a sinus infection. My doctor always asked me ..”do you smoke?” I tell him no…he doesn’t know I use any tobacco products.
Did the doctor cause me to get more sick? No. Obvoisuly I needed a different treatment than you. If you don't trust this doctor's judgement, get a second opinion. You are not obligated to continue any treatment with him. Do not, though, start then root canal & then decide you want to see a different doctor. It will end up more costly to you & insurance may not cover it.
If you really want peace of mind on the disease front, you'll have to wait 90 days from your BJ to get the confirmation that Teak and everyone is saying that you didn't have a risk. But, when you go be sure to buy a Powerball ticket before you go because the odds are far better that you'll win the jackpot.
It sounds as though you were quite thoroughly evaluated by the GUM specialist that you saw. Further, while there was no evidence of infection, either at the time of the evaluation or on your laboratory tests, you received therapy which was likely to be highly effective had you been infected. I would not be worried about an STI at this time and can provide alternate explanations for some of your symptoms.
Testing for STDs is recommended only when there is a plausible risk of infection and when testing can detect an infection you can do something about. It is true that many STDs can be asymptomatic -- but it's still true that absence of symptoms is reassuring. When you factor in the virtually zero risk in these events, plus lack of symptoms, it is not a realistic possibility you caught anything.

Hey, just wanted to update on all thats been happening since last time. Well, I have a severe swollen throat and sinus pressure, not to mention my left ear is clogged up and I cant hear out of it at all. No more fevers or muscle aches, but the waiting is the most nerve-wracking there is to deal with.
Yes by #2 choice I do mean the last Vet as I didn't even consider the first one as even being in the running, how blind can a person be to not see what you are describing...very incompetent!!!!... I am like you, money is short however I do not skimp on this when it means the diff between what I feel is the best choice for my kitties:) however the est. Vet #3 gave you is not out of range IMO...except for the ringer sol cost, but thats minimal...
Drink more water then you can handle, and sleep as often as you can. Make sure to stretch your body too because your energy levels are low and you won't naturally stretch. It will pass. You can also eat more green veggies and try and boost your iron, that would help with the dizziness and passing out. But, if you sleep for days at a time, go to your nearest emergency room. I hope you feel better soon!
When you say sick, do you mean nauseous? That could be due to insufficient stomach acid and stagnant digestion. Try taking a spoon of apple cider vinegar just before you eat. It worked like a charm for my daughter - and immediately.
From the brief reading I have done, it sounds like the loss of fatty tissue is one of the possible manifestations of Lyme, which is why finding a doc who understands Lyme can be so important. If you search -- lyme lipodystrophy -- you may find some information that leads you to a doc who understands it. I've done a little reading on it, and you are definitely not alone.
Lyme isn't showing up on blood tests and I am waffling on whether to spend the money out-of-pocket for testing through IgeneX but I did have IgG and IgM for babesia which leads me to believe that if I have a co-infection (or was infected with a co-infection in the past) that I also have lyme.
I will tell you why HIV is not likely, make a suggestion as to how you can prove this to yourself, and then suggest that you go and get evaluated by an internal medicine doctor who can evaluate other possible causes of your illness. Why this is not HIV. Most commercial sex workers do not have HIV. The likelihood that any of your partners had HIV is low. In addition, the sex acts you describe were not risky.
It can happen during tooth extraction that a piece of bone comes along with the sinus in cases when the tooth is close to the bone because of infection. There can be perforation also. There can be fistulas also sometimes. Treatment involves use of antibiotics, sinus washings to cleanse the sinus from infection and other specific management depending on the situation. A dental examination is absolutely necessary. If you are not satisfied with your dentist’s opinion seek another opinion.
Go to the right of this screen and scroll way down until you see the heading RELATED EXPERT FORUMS....that will lead you to a forum where you will get a reply from a Vet expert. I wish you both the best of luck and hopefully something that will help this poor little guy. Please keep us posted on his progress.
Its very rare, but you might test for that, especially if you are in a bigger city like NY, Chicago, LA, etc.
There is no reason why you should sue the dentist or the makers of clindamycin. Your dentist did the right thing by prescribing an antibiotic when you had a gum infection. Clindamycin is a great antibiotic, but like other antibiotics, it kills off the good bacteria in your GI tract, causing you to become more susceptible to C Diff. You probably got the C Diff by touching something contaminated with C Diff and then not washing your hands before you touched your mouth in some way.
I have a yeast infection and i want to get rid of it..is there anything i can take that can make this go away now...and can you catch a yeast infection if you performed oral sex on someone who have a yeast infection? Please help me out here im a lil confused about this.
I believe root canals may work in some instances, but not in mine, that tooth should have been extracted years ago, I only want to save it for fear of not having a molar, since I only have 2 big molars on each side of my bottom and top (reason when I was a teenager the dentist at the time said I have too many teeth for the size of my mouth and that when my wisdom teeth were to come in I would probably suffer from severe headaches and needed to remove 4 healthy molar/bicuspid molar teeth, so le
I've thought of chronic fatigue, too. I'll do good a couple of days, then bad...but I have been SO bad at times that when it's a little bad I can handle it. I mean there for a while it was never ending feeling bad, no strength, face pressure, head pressure, balance problems, ear hurting, and I thought life wasn't worth living if I had to live like that. Just couldn't do anything! I didn't sleep well due to the right side back of my head hurting again last night.
I know you directed your comment to grace but I wanted to chime in. Something that goes away in a few days rarely is Herpes. Herpes goes through a process to which it heals and goes away in time about 7-10 days. Inital outbreaks can be longer up to 3 weeks typically. Sadly only about 50% of infections would be detected by 30 days. IgG anitbodies do take time. The best dest would be HerpeSelect which is an IgG test that gets accurate results at 12 weeks.
Can I get HIV through oral sex? is probably one of the most frequent questions we get asked at Freedomhealth either in person or via our Sexual Health Forum. The answer is yes, possibly, but it is exceptionally unlikely.
Try drinking green tea 2 times daily for atleast 1 month. Also, get vitamins A,B,C... make sure when you purchase Vitamin A that it is from fish liver oil... and only fish liver oil... Anything else may cause a reaction with the infection. these will detox your system and make your immune system become more efficient. If anything the antibiotics are not reacting anymore cause the virus has learned to cope with them... Anti biotics are good temporary fixes...
Just watch what she eats and drinks (avoid sugar and chemicals). All you can do is make sure it is clean - no dirt or anything in it - and put a salve on it. I have a herbal one which is better than anything you find in the pharmacy (though I forget what it is called!). Just dab a bit on and clean it a couple times a day for a few days, then slow it down. Don't cover it, as air is the best thing for it as well.
If you ever need someone to talk to late night whatever, im here, i know that being alone can make it harder, so feel free to throw me a line if you need someone to just talk to, vent, even just to know your not alone in being sick. Im here, hope your results come back fine.

There's alot of that stomach flu going around too. Hope you feel better real soon sweetie!! *Hugs from the north* -E P.S. We are getting a BIG STORM FINALLY on Wednesday! Woo-hoo!
LOL...thanks grace for the amusing comment. No he didn't do a swab for strep or anything else, and i have definitely had the white patches on my tonsils before whenever i get strep and other viral infections like that, so i wasn't very alarmed at that.
However I felt her taste at one point of time at the end of our little session. Than I went to have a shower and tried to spit it out and washed my mouth. Now I'm worried sick because of possible HIV infection. I'm worried because of her status, since she seemed to be a beginner and even had problem with putting on condoms. She perform unprotected fellatio for other guests (but no intercourse at all). I would consider her a high risk individual. Do you think I have reason to worry?
