I have always had a hard time falling asleep, and before the accident I semi-regularly used
a small amount of marijuana (
a couple “hits” through
a vaporizer) at bedtime to alleviate the insomnia. I haven’t used drugs or alcohol since my injury, but as of this past week, my insomnia has once again made it difficult to sleep. I have tried Melatonin suppliments, herbal tea, and meditation, but none of these has been particularly helpful. I would prefer not to try stronger sleeping pills.
