2054929 tn?1333945870 I am going to start treatment in a week or two. I understand that certain drugs do not interact well with the Hep C treatment. Is there a complete list of what's not allowed? What about pain meds like morphine or other opiate based meds? Will taking them mess up my treatment?
Avatar m tn Your doctor should know any other medical problems that you have and which drugs may be the best possible drugs to take instead of the drugs you are now taking. One size does not fit all. If you have questions about a drug that someone suggests you can go to the following site and check the interactions between the suggested drug and the drugs you will be taking.
Avatar f tn Just got my epidural and I just want to say kudos to those of you who want to go all natural with no drugs or who have gone all natural. You guys are awesome this is my second and I could not do it with out the pain medication.
Avatar n tn Hi and welcome to the site. You have come to a great place where we can offer you support and advice based on our own experiences. Finding the right medication can be a long process - unfortunately. I don't think there are many of us who have hit the "jackpot" first try, or second or third ...... I think you get my drift. Please don't be disillusioned by this - I personally didn't get on with Zyprexa either.
Avatar f tn a lot of people are sensitive to anti-depressants and others medication. i would talk to your doctor and try and find a medication that doesn't make make you feel sick, so you can get some benefits. :) Good luck.
Avatar n tn Agree... there are quite a few different medications that can make it difficult to lose weight. Some are notorious for causing weight gain, as well.
Avatar m tn I doubt this combination would be approved if it was dangerous. But all drugs may have side effects, and if you get bothersome side effects, you should report them to your doctor. Good luck.
1603612 tn?1298285542 i was addicted to pain meds and i know from studying alot about them that they interact in different ways and would not hurt you b/c i asked my doc. but never over do any of the drugs u have. trust me. i made a horrible mistake.
1754908 tn?1312400362 I have problems with prednisone as well. I stopped taking all RA drugs two years ago but try to get by with over the counter meds. I recently discovered Norco 10/325 and it really helps although it is a narcotic. My question is this. How much damage could I do taking only one pill (Norco) per day. Just one pill really helps me. Thanks.
Avatar n tn Does anyone know if there are any long term effects on your memory from any of these drugs or mixing these drugs? Any help would be appreciated.
Avatar n tn HOLY ****, what kind of doctor is prescribing all these drugs?!?
Avatar m tn Really, there are no drugs that would affect the window period or seroconversion other than anti-rejection drugs one would take after an organ transplant, and chemo for cancer treatment. Anti-viral drugs (nPEP) made to treat HIV or help prevent HIV transmission after a significant exposure could also theoretically extend the seroconversion process, which is why we recommend testing at 3 months after the last dose of nPEP for those who have taken it,.
Avatar n tn m wondering why the Doctor is treating you with Cymbalta rather than the more classic drugs such as narcotics or NSAIDs. Cymbalta is one of twenty drugs currently being monitored by the FDA for it's side effects one of which is Urine Retention. Yes it can cause headaches and ringing in the ears which is an unfortunate side effect. If it becomes bothersome, I would defenitly talk with your Doc about changing the Medication.
Avatar n tn One week ago my Dr changed my medication. I was taking 150mg of Wellbutrin and 8mg of Zanax a day. I have been on this medicine for about 10 years starting out at a much lower dosage. I DO NOT suffer from depression as I have told my Dr. I have built up immunity to these drugs and he switched me to 30mg Paxil, and 1mg Klonopin.
Avatar f tn It also causes the kidneys to get rid of unneeded water and salt from the body into the urine. Before taking any medication, it is best that you discuss this with your doctor first. Take care and regards.
Avatar f tn It sounds to me like you need more aggressive treatment than simply non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) like naproxen. RA is a progressive, degenerative, auto-immune disorder and while drugs like NSAIDs and steroids (prednisone) can help manage the pain, they don't treat the underlying disease itself, which continues to do damage. There are a wide variety of DMARDs (disease-modifying drugs) and biologics out there now that slow down or halt the progression of the disease.
Avatar n tn Hi, most of the expired drugs lose their potency over time. There are only few drugs which change chemically to toxic drug. There were no adverse events reported with expired Advair Diskus. Hence, usually nothing will happen but further intake is not recommended. If the person experiences a hypersensitivity reaction or breath difficulties, consult physician without delay. Continue with fresh Advair Diskus as precribed, just wait and watch would be sufficient for few days. Take care and regards.
Avatar m tn Instead of a named brand anti convulsant for pain I used an older one that was generic. I had to do this with many drugs. With name brand drugs my doctor gave me samples.
Avatar f tn Suppose a person is diagnosed with schizo. after seeing a doctor for only a week and is prescribed anti psychotic drugs. The doctor does not know anything about the patient's history or events leading to hospitalization( such as lack of sleep and food for three days straight). If the diagnoses was wrong and the person doesn't need to be on these types of drugs, what kind of affect would it have on a person's brain and ability to function?
Avatar f tn I am currently looking for a new depression medication. I need some info on something that is NOT a SSRI, a hormone, and is not zoloft, celexa, or prozac......also something that does not contain salicylic acid aka aspirin. If anyone can help I would appreciate the help.
Avatar f tn I was diagnosed with adhd and perscribed medication for it. My sister found out I was taking the medication, found it at my home, and called my psychiatrist and told him not to prescribe it to me because I was abusing it, but I was not she just did not want me to take it anymore and all she noticed was that my eyes had been dialated and she assumed I was abusing it. So, the psychiatrist stopped prescribing it. I am over 18 so I do not know why the psychiatrist listened to her.
