Avatar n tn Thank you so much for taking the time to respond. My heart breaks for all of you who are in severe pain. I don't handle pain well. When I hurt the whole world knows it, but my husband can stand a LOT of pain before he complains. He doesn't have to complain though, I can see the anguish in his eyes and on his face. I first posted 11 days ago.
Avatar f tn overweight and have type 2 diabetes. I take metformin, janumet, caduet and until yesterday diovan. During a stress test yesterday my systolic bp rose to 260 in a very short time (diastolic was elevated but not so greatly). When my BP has been taken several times throughout the year at rest it has been 120/80 (ish). I am not very active but do walk 1-1/2 miles a day at a moderate rate. The cardiologist took me off of diovan and told me to begin 100 mg toprolol (sp?) immediately.
Avatar f tn So my doctor prescribed me some nausea pills which I have been taking for a week now. I was looking at the box and came across the sentence "Not to be taken while pregnant" What the hell!? Should I do something!? I'm so angry!
1325672 tn?1290084214 ) Your Doctor wants to put you on an extended release formulas because the medication your on is a short acting medication that will eventually stop working due to tolerance and you will just have to keep taking more and more. Most CP Pt's do take a long acting medicine with a short acting medication for break thru pain.
Avatar m tn No I am worried that they are testing me for some reason. Is it legal for your doctor to ask you to give back medication she prescribed to her office when the medication was obviously filled at a pharmacy?
2054929 tn?1333945870 t know for positive, but I do not think opiate drugs, per se, will mess up your treatment as long as you stick rigidly to the Hepatitis C treatment schedule and Hepatitis C medication schedule. However, you need to talk with your Hep C treating doctor about taking opiates while on treatment. In fact, the treating doc needs to know all medications and supplements you are on, prescription and over the counter.
Avatar n tn I am currently taking Valporic Acid for the Bipolar although I feel that the dose is not strong enough also I feel like I have lost my mind. Avatar f tn This all started after a severe reaction to a medication which caused my whole body to twitch uncontrollably. In the ER, they told me my problem wa simply that I needed to calm down and sent me home twitching all over, and so dizzy I had to hold the walls to stand. The next day, a family practictioner realized what was really going on, and took me off the offending medication. Anyway, I was diagnosed bipolar II a couple years ago. Since then, I can't receive medical care.
Avatar f tn The doctor who prescribed the medication is know longer in my network.. So as of right now i dont have a doctor to ask if its safe to combine the medication.. I dont think over the counter medication is going to help with these finding..
Avatar f tn http://www.drugwatch.com/ssri/pregnancy/ Pretty much everything you've listed should not be taken during pregnancy. My wife won't even take Advil, as per doctor recommended, but this is a question best asked to your doctor. My advice? Kick the pills. If caffeine and Aspirin can hurt a child, imagine the effects of anti-depressants.
Avatar m tn Ceruvin AF - 1 daily; Rosuvas 10 mg - 1 daily, Valparin CR 5oo mg - Twice daily, voglibo M .02 - 2 daily. Yesterday, by chance I lifted some heavy material and chest pain started immediately. I rushed to a Doctor who suggested me to go for Echo Cardiograph after ECG. The Echo Cardiograph revealed 'thin Septum with hypokinesia, LVEF 35%'. After this, the Doctor, advised to take Cardivas 3.125 tablets along with the ones I am already taking. No other procedure, treatment, etc.

Avatar m tn Need a doctor in Columbus,Ohio that prescribes pain meds. I've been on 30mg oxycodone 3times a day for several years but just lost my doc.
Avatar f tn Ask your doctor before taking ANY medication.
Avatar f tn Trileptal is an anticonvulsant (used as a mood stabilizer for bipolar), and Lexapro is an antidepressant called an SSRI (Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor). If you are having problems with mania you might want to talk to your doctor about adding an antipsychotic. There are so many too many to list and there can be so many different combinations too. You should talk to your doctor about the specific symptoms you are having...
4975205 tn?1361974347 Depending on your pain and what wrong with you, a long acting medication might be better, but you definitely want to talk with your doctor. Also be careful because if you're going to need surgery, (if you haven't already, that is) your going to want to be able to achieve post-op pain control, which will be better if you keep your narcotic dose smaller, but again, just something to keep in mind when you talk with your doctor.
1130095 tn?1267369259 Ask your doctor about Topamax. I had daily headaches for years and this is the only thing that has helped. What most likely is happening is your pain is causing the headaches but the pills or some of the pills your taking are causing "rebound headaches" a lot of pain medications do that. I didn't know that for years and I was suffering. Diclofenac comes in a topical form, if that helps see if the doctor will give it to you that way.
880512 tn?1249085122 My doctor prescribed clonazepam (klonopin) and also xanax, I take .5 clonazepam twice a day, every twelve hours and xanax 3 times a day .25 mg. does anyone else take both of these medications together? They are working but I was just afraid it was too much.
1655377 tn?1302050621 All sound like symptoms of cephalexin.See your doctor and ask advice. You might have to taper off slowly.
Avatar f tn At first I was on 0,150mg for 18 years and did not have problems with weight or fatigue. In 1996, my doctor said that the tests were more refined and I was taking too much synthroid. It was lowered to 0,112mg. I started gaining weight immediately, losing hair and could not focus at all. It was raised to 0.125mg and has remained at that dose even though my tsh is a little suppressed.
Avatar f tn You really should talk to your doctor more indepth about the risks if you start the medication again or if you choose not to take it. You and your doctor can make the best decision for you. You should also seek a second opinion before considering starting those medications because they do come with risks. http://www.fda.gov/Drugs/DrugSafety/ucm261543.htm http://www.drugs.com/pregnancy/trazodone.
Avatar n tn I strongly dissagree with this assumption that just because a doctor or even Psychiatrist says a medication combination is safe, that you should always trust them. Doctors and Psychiatrist make mistakes much more often than you may think. I personnaly know several people that were almost killed by doctors that prescribed dangerous combinations of Psychotropic medication to them.
1765081 tn?1313542216 Is there any medication that is safe to take while conceiving? I am on Effexor, and I know it is dangerous for the fetus.
