Avatar n tn What are the best nappies to buy for newborns in the UK??? Today I was recommended aldis nappies?
Avatar f tn You can get income support from 26weeks of pregnancy until delivery and then get the bonus lump sum to help with the cost of buying baby things. Am not sure about the maternity pay but getting professional advice is your best shot.
Avatar f tn As the Lord hears me, I have spent over 10 thousand dollars this year buying over the internet Tramadol. Fortunately the patient that I am privately working with is paying me well, but what kind of gratitude is this... to throw it all away for something so stupid(?) It would kill him to know. I cannot say that buy taking 30 tablets in a short period of time caused me to feel high.
611980 tn?1221351052 m at 3 vics a day from 10-12. but i have been taking a tramadol in the middle of the day to get through. will this help or am i creating a harder wd? i dont know if there the same. trying to be done within a couple days 2-3 at most. any herbal remidies that will help?
Avatar f tn t know where to begin. I have 50mg tabs. Usually 8 in the morning, 8 in the afternoon and 4 around bedtime. Lately I've been waking up with those horrible muscle spasms in my thighs and I look at my little girl sleeping and I know I have to do this or everything I hold dear in my life will be gone. I really like the person who suggested we look at it as a war - fear can be a great motivator, but rage gets things done.
1557928 tn?1304810663 I had to get stitches in various places and tramadol here over the counter is 30baht for a 10 strip of 50MG, which is about a dollar.. I have been taking them this time for 2 days, but 3 weeks ago I took them for a week and I did not pass any solids for that period and it took me sometimes up to 10 minutes to urinate.
Avatar m tn i started taking tramadol about 2 years ago for pain, and now if i run out i get really bad withdrawels, its like having the flu but a hundred times worse, i know i am addicted, i need too know if there would be a rehab for tramadol addiction in uk? im not sure if there will be as its not heroin or any other drug like that, its just a pain killer, if there was a rehab place for it then would i have too stay there for a few days or would they just tell me to cut down slowly?
Avatar f tn but I have found that to be SO common among people in opiate w/d. Tramadol is a tough one too, because of the anti-depressant properties it has. You are essentially withdrawing from 2 meds - an opiate AND an anti-depressant (double the fun.....:( You may want to try some magnesium tablets (my doctor suggested 1000 mg. for me, taken at night before bed, some potassium (banana's are a good source), and/or you could try Melatonin - it is a natural sleep aid.
1830782 tn?1318496076 Unfortunately in the uk we can get very little over the counter at the pharmacy. I have been given some anti-sickness pills and at the moment they are helping a little. I am still in pain from my knee replacement and at the moment I am having second thoughts about having the other one done! My GP is thinking of weaning me off the Tramadol and then replacing it with another drug....
Avatar f tn Before he started taking it, he was addicted to hydrocodone. The family doctor we both see was very free with handing out the painkillers in the past. My doctor was prescribing me 180 pills of Tramadol a month. The nurse that prescribed them told us they were not much stronger than Tylenol, and she didn't warn us of their highly addictive nature. I don't take them anymore, but I know my father does, and I am so worried about his health.
1315055 tn?1294367046 I believe its the St. John's wort and 5htp that should be avoided while still on the tramadol because of the serotonin issues. It's the same as not being able to take an anti-depressant while on tramadol because tramadol also contains an anti-depressant and too much serotonin brings on serotonin syndrome (exceedingly high levels of serotonin) which could result in seizure. So that would include the st. john's wort and any other supplement that affects serotonin levels.
Avatar f tn t afford childcare n in 16 weeks preg anyway so we only get little help!
Avatar f tn Hi there, It's wierd we call it paracetamol instead of acetaminphen here in the UK... but that is where the "cet" bit comes from. However, tamadol the "trama" part, is very addictive and highly narcotic, so much so that I won't allow it in my establishment. I'm a pharmacy tech and I run the pharmacy department at a prison here in the UK and I'm very surprised at what your pharmacist said to you!! Tramacet has 37.
Avatar m tn Tramadol does not work in the same way as conventional opioids and binds to the pain receptors slightlt differently. Although it works well for many people, for some, like you and also myself, it does not address pain adequately. I do take tramadol sometimes but only in conjuntion with other opiates, as on its own it does not work for me. We all have different physiologies and responses to pain, and tramadol is not for everyone.
Avatar f tn are hydrocodin, percocet, roxicodone and tramadol in the same ingredients family meaning if i took a vicodin i should be okay to take a roxicodone or tramadol because they have some of the same ingredients in them thanks for the time to whoever answers the post
Avatar f tn I can't remember if I asked this before or not but does Tramadol affect the same receptors that codeine does? I swear I need to see the Wizard of Oz and get a brain!
916412 tn?1361201386 Here's a thought hun. Why not get a side by side then make the covers for them. You could do that or have someone do that for you.... It's a thought.
544292 tn?1268882668 s not the most alarming part of Tramadol in my case. In my case the antidepressant that they tacked on to the cocktail is the thing that causes all the rough psychological and mental symptoms. It's a Two Fer One! I've been feeling like I was going crazy for a long time. And in addition to that; the scary suicidal ideation. The suicidal ideation vanished and returns ONLY if I get a flare up of withdrawal symptoms. That happens if I get over stressed. So i need some coping mechanisms.
Avatar n tn How long before the delivery would a woman have to stop using Tramadol that it would not show up in the baby's system?
Avatar f tn Welcome to the forum! Good for you in deciding enough is enough. Addiction is progressive....as you have found out....and 1500 mg/day of Trams is dangerously high. Since you got your trams OTC in Mexico, I'm not sure if they have the same chemistry make up as they do in the US, but IF they do....you know they have an antidepressant component in them as well as the totally synthetic opioid, right? If you can taper at all, it would be the safest and recommended.
Avatar n tn I get all my DHC online from the UK, and there are many times in which I run out and take tramadol to mask the withdrawal. I used to get a great high off tramadol (at the time better than any other opiate high) but now it simply keeps physical withdrawal at bay. However, I go through a pretty big depression and will lay in bed for days until my refill comes in the mail.
Avatar f tn t have any problems with the combination of drugs. Actually the Tramadol has really helped my mood ( I think because of the snri). So I have started to taper off the Effexor. I was on 150, now taking 75 mg and will be starting 37.5 very other day for the next month. I hope this info helps you make a decision. Just remember every one experiences drug side effects differently. Take care, Sue.

Avatar f tn Most of us are in the U.S. and would not be able to answer your question, as we don't know the rules surrounding your NHS. You should check with your local authorities. Or you could check with another clinic to see. We do find that the NHS does not, often, allow for adequate thyroid testing/treatment, and many of our members do have to go private in order to get adequate care. Do you know the exact TSH level? Some doctors refuse to begin treatment until TSH is quite high.
468452 tn?1225964888 My question is, is this drug only prescibed in the US? I myself had never heard of it here in the UK. Does anybody know if it perhaps has another name here in the UK or do we just not use the drug? I currently take Diazapam or Ativan for extreme attacks but it would be nice to have something to take on a regular basis that does the same thing but without the same addictive qualities and to perhaps stop me from getting myself into a state in the first place? Does anyone know about this???
4020799 tn?1355825570 I'm having one. I'm in Australia. We aren't telling anyone the sex of the baby until the shower so my partners mum has done the pink and blue theme. We have games, a bbq lunch and desert. They have a pool, and stuff so being summer here should be good. But I'm not doing the girlie shower it's a moved family one.
