Wellbutrin is only for depression, not anxiety. Can increase anxiety. For sexual side effects it is used in conjunction with an ssri, not instead of one for those suffering from anxiety, and even then you have to be very careful about increased anxiety.
Zoloft (or any SSRI for that matter) is notorious for making it difficult to ejaculate. As far as the erection is concerned, I suspect this is not related to the bupropion. Have you tried one of the PDE5 inhibitors (i.e., Viagra, Levitra, Cialis)?
Is it possible you are on a SSRI or SNRI ? My boyfriend described this feeling and from what I understand, this class of medication, although the drug increases seretonin in the brain to decrease the depression or sadness...it is at the same time reducing the amount of dopamine in the brain. Dopamine is the chemical that allows us to feel ectasy and elation. This may be leading to a certain "masking" of feelings while on your medication(s). Well, that is how I uderstood it anyway.
Wellbutrin CAN be helpful even when people have previously had a good response to an SSRI (Zoloft, Prozac, Paxil, Lexapro, etc.). It does have some serotinergic effect, as those meds do, but also works on a different neurotransmitter and may give you more energy. A big plus is that it generally does not the negative sexual side effects that may accompany the SSRIs, and in some people it increases sexual desire where this has been lacking.
My doctor has decided that Depression is the cause of my anxiety, and has upped my bupropion to 450 mg a day until the tremors and shaking started, then he lowered me back down to 300. Now I have feel angry or like crying all the time. An explotion can come at anytime, but because the depression was better at 450 mg a day he wants to combine atenolol with it to fight the side effects. I don't like the side effects of either one of these drugs.

Wellbutrin (Zyban)(bupropion-generic name) isn't what you'd classify as addictive in the traditional sense. My opinion (and just my opinion) is that he's developed a dependence on the medication and is having a tough time coming off of it. Antidepressants aren't typically addictive like opiates and benzos, but they will cause withdrawal symptoms when they are stopped. I've taken antidepressants at times and always had to wean off of them slowly.
Nobody knows -- people react differently. A weight gainer for some isn't for others. I do question why you're adding a drug if the wellbutrin is working well -- they tend to work better the longer you take them. Buspar usually doesn't work that well, but my guess is, wellbutrin is the most stimulating anitdepressant out there short of taking speed, and you're posting on the anxiety forum so I'm guessing you suffer from anxiety.
However, the real issue for me is that I need to be on medication for the depression (which becomes severe without medication), and now I seem to be sensitive to anything serotonergic(even mirtazapine) and bupropion is also not working well. Is there any other drug I can try? Is there any treatment for these side-effects so that I can go back on SSRIs? I am also afraid that all these might be a form of mild tardive dyskinesia. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
My doctor swiched me from Paxil to Bupropion Sr. last week and He said that thier was no need to ween myself off of the Paxil. So I started the Bupropion Sr at 150mg once a day for 4 days and then was to go on to two a day, Well since I started the drug. I have been very dizzy and if I move my head to fast I feel like a jolt in my vision. I told my doctor and he suggested to stay on the one a day for another week. I also have lost a pound a day since starting the drug.
But the wellbutron (bupropion) as my Dr. and I figured out was making me feel so much worse. Really bad anxiety like I can't even describe, and constant crying.
It just kept getting worsr when I thought it was just me and that the bupr. would take some time to take effect. So she upped my dosage and 2 days later I caled her and went back in. That's when I stopped the burpro. immidiatly and she put me on celexa and klonopin for the anxiety.
