Avatar n tn I had one at the beginning of month (it is regulated by birth control) and after 2 days of being on the new bupropion... I am having what seems to be another period?? Are re-having the side effects of the same drug normal??? Would the drug mess with my cycle?? even though the previous one never did? and it is supposed to be the same thing?
Avatar f tn m angry that he has put me on atenolol to counteract the side effects of bupropion. What is going to fight the side effects of the atenolol? I do not want to be a walking pharmacy.
Avatar f tn My husband has been taking Bupropion HSL SR 150mg for a few months and it doesn't seem to be working as well as the Bupropion XL 150mg he was taking for a few years before he was switched because, the pharmacy said, they could not get the Bupropion XL 150mg at that time. My husband has dementia. He takes the Bupropion in the morning along with his Aricept and Exforge (for blood pressure). He gets drowsy right after taking his pills and I think it may be the Bupropion HSL SR causing this.
Avatar f tn My doctor then prescribed me Bupropion HCL (take twice a day). He says that should help with weight loss. Has anyone had good experiences with Bupropion? Did you gain weight on Citalopram? Thanks!!!
Avatar n tn Atypical antipsychotics can have a lot of side effects. If you think your memory problems are from the seroquel, talk to your doctor about changing your meds around. If they're for schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder, you'll need to stay on some sort of antipsychotic, but different ones have different side effect profiles for different people. If it's for bipolar or as an add on for depression, you can switch drug classes entirely, which might work better for you.
Avatar f tn I myself am taking wellbutrin sr and have been experiencing the same side effects along with feeling like i am in a elevator not sure if these are normal side effects or not... but the plus side of it i have been losing weight with it..
Avatar n tn ve been noticing some severe short term memory loss problems. Im extremely worried and concerened about my well being, Im not sure what to do. Is this normal? Is it permanent? Should I switch medications? Also an alternate question regarding Celexa; Is it completely out of the question to take Celexa during your pregnancy?
Avatar n tn I've been on a couple of different SSRI's Paxil(generic) and now on Prozaz. I have noticed that my memory doesn't seem to be as good as it use to be. I've always attributed to getting older and having a ton more stress in my life. I've done a lot of research on SSRI side effects and have never seen anything documented about memory loss. Getting off of Paxil (if that's what you decide to do) is very difficult.
Avatar n tn My husband das been diagnosed with depression and anxiety had been taking Effexor XR 75mgs or about 1 year however the side effects ie weight gain tiredness and loss of libido was troubling him. The switched to cymbaltor, due to high costs (even with insurance) of this medication is wanting to switch to somethig that is less expensive and that has a generic available. What about Wellbutrin or do you have any other suggeations?
Avatar f tn So today my Celexa dose was upped from half a pill to 1 whole pill and the side effects are coming back like when I first started... Sweaty, can't sleep, headache, stiff neck, clenching teeth... Etc. I don't know what to do. I tried taking stuff for it, including an Oxy but still no change. What can I take to make these side effects not so bad? I don't see the dr till Thursday, so I can't ask her... If anyone has any suggestions?
5371853 tn?1367025372 At the age of 30, after a dramatic weight loss due to a vertical sleeve gastrectomy (50 lbs!) I started to experience SEVERE depression and anxiety for the first time in my lifea year ago. No history of emotional problems, nor is my life troubled. It's actually quite stable. I have spent this year exploring every medical possibility: B12, thyroid, neuro issues, heart issues, thiamine, and more. I broke down and started bupropion 8 weeks ago, I am up to 300XL and have been for 6 weeks.
Avatar m tn and i want to know the side effects, i heard memory loss was one? i took 2 **** tests on it and i passed. if anyone knows for sure please let me know, thank you.
Avatar n tn Losing a whole day, and having some memory problems for awhile after open heart is not that uncommon. What he might be going through is problems with his meds. You can take a list of all of them to your pharmacist to ask what the possible side effects are. I'm a little surprised his Cardio Dr has'nt thought about this. Or has your husband not mentioned the memory problems to his Dr yet?
Avatar m tn I was prescribed 300 mg xl of bupropion for anxiety that comes from a neurlogical problem in my eyes called Nystagmus. I think side effects of bupropion cause blurred vision and problems with one eye not moving in conjunction with the other which is horrible in addition to Nystagmus. I've lived with this because I was told bupropion is the least likeliest of pills to cause sexual disfunction. Is this true?
Avatar m tn For instance-time released bupropion ruined my life for a while but changing to immediate release bupropion did not have the negative side-effects. Also, using fluticasone (Flonase) more than a few days at a time exacerbates my depression/suicidality. Bottom line: be careful and take notes of how your body responds to meds.
Avatar n tn If anyone has tried immediate-release, could you share your experience with me? Did it work okay (gave you energy and focus)? Did you feel the side effects (anxiety, irritability, etc) were worse than XL or SR? Did your mood sink when it started to wear off?
Avatar n tn Most of the side effects are dose related. Here is more information about the medication: http://www.drugs.com/topamax.html . Sometimes, dividing the dose into several doses throughout the day may help. Also taking the smallest dose you can take is best to avoid the side effects. Initially, many people have side effects, but after your body gets used to the med. it goes away (usually after a week or 2).
Avatar f tn I experienced a lot of memory loss toward the end also. One of the most annoying things for me was having to go in for a blood test every week! Keep us posted!! Good luck and please don't forget that "This too shall pass" Keep your chin up!
Avatar f tn s not too much of a problem for me. I accept the unwanted side-effects for the benefits received. Short term memory loss at your age sounds odd, Get it checked out asp. Try not to worry meanwhile. Memory is precious, long term seems to stay intact when the short term goes in my case.
647120 tn?1256601651 My memory is becoming faulty to such an extent that I got up this morning and my kids were talking about a movie we watched last night and I had absolutely no recollection of what they described. My memory loss and inability to see things right in front of my eyes has been a running joke, but today it feels like a crisis. All I want to do is sleep to escape and right now, just cry. It seems that the Effexor was doing an important job after all.
Avatar m tn I was wondering if there was an alternative to this medication without blurred vision or sexual side effects. While it is reported that Bupropion is the least likely anti depressant to cause sexual side effects, in my case it does. (On a side note I was taking gabapentin for my Nystagmus earlier in the year, and experienced a decrease in vision, hard time converging.) Gabapentin was said to help people with Nystagmus but the doctor's suspected the bupropion may have played a part in this.
Avatar n tn Less common side effects include cardiac arrhythmias, blurry or double vision and/or the temporary loss of blood cells or platelets and in rare cases can cause aplastic anemia. The symptoms you are experiencing may be due to the effects of your medication. However, before starting or shifting to new medication, I suggest that you discuss this with your doctor first to avoid any adverse effects or seizure brought about by changes in medication. Take care and regards.
Avatar f tn Has your doctor ruled out other causes for the sweating? Both these medications carry "sweating" as a side effect. Is it your GP prescribing this or a psychiatrist? Psychiatrists are most knowlegeable when it comes to these types of medications, and what is best for you. I would ask your doctor "why" he feels Bupropion is a better choice and go from there. It may be that the incidents reported of sweating with the Bupropion is lower than the Citolopram.
Avatar f tn So now i went back on my old anti depressant bupropion 150mg never had any side effects before...now i started having the flushing i had when i took the zoloft. So miserable. Anyways im gonna stop these anti depressants and try some natural stuff.
Avatar m tn after about 6 injections the patient started showing symptoms like loss of balance, slurred speech, loss of memory and disorientation. the injections were stopped and the patient started showing signs of improvement.in the mean time a neurologist was consulted who after a MRI ruled out any relation between Bonista and the symptoms. The injections were resumed . however the symptoms reappeared but with less intensity. my question is whether there is any such report .
