I'm currently on 300 bupropion, along with topamax 100 and still have had no weight losse. I just started the 300 bupropion after being on 150 last week and have already had crying spells but this was the week of my period so I was thinking I just could be "emotional". Before I was on Zoloft 25-150 bupropion but I ate to much on it, I'm hoping for weight loss but every antidepressant I take makes me eat what to do I do??
t think that it is going to make you lose huge amounts of weight but rather it is not going to bloat you and make you gain weight, at least from my experience. Of course eating habits and exercise always play a role as well.
When I went from 150 to 300 I suffered side effects that lasted at least 4 weeks. They were not pleasant and I needed to take klonopin to get through them...so there is that aspect of a dosage increase as well.
Another reason why it should be the first choice for treating depression because SSRIs do not raise dopamine or norepinephrine levels and surprisingly certain ones have been shown to actually DECREASE dopamine levels by as much as 50%! Another thing is, for me at least, bupropion has caused me to lose weight by not wanting to eat as much and there is no sexual dysfunction.
I'm currently on 300 bupropion/100 topamax for migraines. I don't like the bupropion as much as Zoloft but had to stop it bc I ate so much on the Zoloft. Is there anything someone could recommend to make me loose weight along with taking Zoloft?
Does anyone have experience with taking Bupropion (Wellbutrin) to help with no longer using 30 mg Roxicet?
I am taking fluoxetine 40 mg and Bupropion 300 extended release. I started a new job about a month ago and have been going full steam ahead. I have had 4 days off and have woke up anxious the last three of them as well as feeling a little depressed. Doc seems to think I was keeping my mind very busy and now I have time to think I am crashing.
Anyway it got me thinking about my meds. The Fluoxetine has put about 5 kilos on me.I really don't like this.
I was on Celexa for a year and a half and did very well on it. It really gave me myself back. But I stopped taking it because it made me gain weight, which in and of itself was really depressing. The whole time I was on it, I exercised like a fiend and didn't eat that much. But it dramatically increased my craving for carbs, so I blew up like a mini whale, no matter how much I exercised. I've been off of it for more than a year, and still exercise like mad. But I cannot lose the weight.
Is anyone getting ringing in the ears from taking Generic Wellbutrin(Bupropion sr ) 150 mg. Here is my situation I have been on amitriptiline 25 mg 4 years then went up to 50 mg for 3 years. I started taking only one 150 mg of bupropion sr this is my 5 day. Can I stop taking the amitriptiline with no withdrawls after only 5 days of Bupropion? or has it not been long enough. I hoping that I can stop the amitriptiline by taking the bupropion sr in place of the amitriptiline.
I am suffering from I believe depression I have problems sleeping this has recently started wierd thoughts and its very disturbing, I feel said and hopeless my doctor put me on Bupropion and I felt better the first day the next day I eel over active different? Have any one taken Bupropion and whats your reactions?
My husband has been taking Bupropion HSL SR 150mg for a few months and it doesn't seem to be working as well as the Bupropion XL 150mg he was taking for a few years before he was switched because, the pharmacy said, they could not get the Bupropion XL 150mg at that time. My husband has dementia. He takes the Bupropion in the morning along with his Aricept and Exforge (for blood pressure). He gets drowsy right after taking his pills and I think it may be the Bupropion HSL SR causing this.
I'm no doctor, just a man who has read way too many articles on fitness and tested a few out. What I've found the best way to lose weight is to find your maintenance level (you can find a rough calculator online) that will tell you about how many calories you burn in an avg day. Subtract around 250 calories and you've found your ideal calorie amount! Keep in mind you should take exercise into account as well. You should be shooting around -2 lbs a week.
