I'm currently on 300 bupropion, along with topamax 100 and still have had no weight losse. I just started the 300 bupropion after being on 150 last week and have already had crying spells but this was the week of my period so I was thinking I just could be "emotional". Before I was on Zoloft 25-150 bupropion but I ate to much on it, I'm hoping for weight loss but every antidepressant I take makes me eat what to do I do??

My doctor then prescribed me Bupropion HCL (take twice a day). He says that should help with weight loss. Has anyone had good experiences with Bupropion? Did you gain weight on Citalopram? Thanks!!!

(they wont pay for my prescriptions if i dont which is over $200) I started taking the mail order pharmacies bupropion for about 2 weeks same dosage and name... pills look different though. (I assume they are just from another manufacturer) Since i have been taking them I have been getting bad headaches, a MAJOR loss of appetite, Im tired and irritable and I had a mini anxiety attack last night over nothing. The weirdest thing has been the fact that I am getting my period again.

I've been on bupropion xl 300mg for 7 years and it has truly changed my life. I used to have very severe Seasonal Affective Disorder and social anxiety, both of which have been all but cured with the medication. My advice, only because I've been through this my whole life..is to express your concerns about weight gain on these types of medication. I've found a good combination of meds for my bipolar. My doctor informed me that these meds I'm on are weight neutral. Lamictal, and bupropion xl. I've been on Lamictal for almost 5 years now and no weight gain at all. I know people ask what's more important, happiness associated with meds that make you gain weight or skinny and unhappy.

Another reason why it should be the first choice for treating depression because SSRIs do not raise dopamine or norepinephrine levels and surprisingly certain ones have been shown to actually DECREASE dopamine levels by as much as 50%! Another thing is, for me at least, bupropion has caused me to lose weight by not wanting to eat as much and there is no sexual dysfunction.

I DO NOT recommend messing with your dosage but I would definately make sure my dosage is right in oder to get on the right track for weight loss.

ve pretty much always had a social phobia since i was a child, due in large part, from what i believe, for being ridiculed for most of my childhood for being over weight; which probably does some psychological damage to an 8 year old. I've tried a couple different psychologists over the years, but they never seemed to really help, so i'm deciding to do something with my life, and go on some anxiety meds.

I am on Wellbutrin for the last 4 weeks and have lost 5 lbs. The way I can describe it is, I don't feel like I'm starving when I get hungry. It takes away that feeling for me. I still eat, but I eat less and feel fuller sooner.

My doctor also prescribed Phenteramine 37.5 mg for weight loss. I take both together in the morning. I do go to him every month and have a check up so he can check my blood pressure...it is always low anyways. But he does keep a close eye on me. Also, if I have something stressfull happen in my life, I drop the phenterimine for a couple of days to prevent an anxidy attack. Phenteramine does make you anxious,,, more so than the adderall or Concerta.
