Best to you, Kelli It didn't take but a few days for me to start feeling sooooo much better. Hello I have been on 100mg of bupropion ER and 0.25 mg of clonazepam for over 4 years. I have tried 3 times before to stop the medications but felt awful side effects and and had to resume taking my meds. Two and a half weeks ago I decided to try again and I stopped all my medication. I know that these are low doses. I have been feeling awful again and I feel as if my heart is running faster than normal which is affecting my personal and work-life.
Hi Ryan, For the first time today I read your responses to others posting about Klonopin taper/withdrawal. I have taken the same dose .5 twice a day for almost 20 years for anxiety and social anxiety. I have made huge progress over the years and through CBT no longer need it. Also, I don' think it does anything anymore except to avoid withdraw. Although, I am happy I had it because it did help me live a normal life and at times I took a little more on rare occasions (PRN).
I posted this under another topic on Klonopin but thought I'd start a thread all its own. I take Xanax and have thought about trying Klonopin since it's longer acting and to help me get off Xanax. I have read that Stevie Nicks had a really bad time with Klonopin and she said it caused her major weight gain. This canNOT happen to me. Is it true Klonopin causes weight gain? Anyone experience this?
doc suggested going off of bupropion and switch to paxil. It has been 11 days. still taking the bupropion 150 and lamictal 100 but have had to start taking a lot more klonopin because to the rise in anxiety and I don't like taking this.
I know it is irrational to feel this way- but I can't control it in many situations. Anyway, my doctor prescribed me Wellbutrin SR, Atenolol (a beta blocker), and klonopin. Well I've taken klonopin before- no prob. Im scared to take the others. My blood pressure isn't high, is it safe to take a beta blocker? and will Wellbutrin make more anxious? and is the combo of these meds even safe?
The bupropion can interact with your hydrocodone, Klonopin, and trazodone. This does not mean that you can not take them though. The interaction is due to the fact that they can all make you drowsy, confused, and weak. They may be taken together as long as you are very cautious. Do not take them together when you need to do any activities that would require full alertness, such as driving, until you know how they affect you.

I had it myself but I perservered through it with the help of this forum and some klonopin as needed. For the most part, you are going to have side affects with anything you take including the SSRIs. From what I have read, the SSRIs have the most sexual side affects but only a very, very small percentage of people that go off of them retain those sexual side affects. So it is definitely far from the norm.
I took Wellbutrin for over a year and did not have any problems. Everyone is different and of course a lot depends on your health history. I only took the smaller dose as the higher dose turned me into a crazy woman. I just felt so uptight and my kids could get under my skin very easily. Good luck with it. I hope it helps you the way you need it to.
I was prescribed Topamax along with an appetite suppressant (Adipex) for weight loss a bit over a year ago and stopped taking them after two and a half months. I did not lose all of the weight I had wanted to, but most of it. I had gained 55 pounds while on Paxil over the course of two and a half years. By taking a combination of the two medicines, I lost 22 pounds the first month, 10 pounds the second month, and 8 pounds the first half of the third month.
i now see i need to do this for her so i can give her the life she needs she will lose a few days now but will have so much more in the long run . thank god or medial know how for suboxone and bupropion.
anxiety can be cured 100% if you believe it can be cured. simple and plain klonopin is a good med for anxiety/panic "Lets puts the truth out there. We can no longer allow the enemy to have control. Fear only the Lord and live a righteous and holy life for God, our creator." ^ this is the bottom line truth! God has not given you the spirt of fear, these things we all have learned and can unlearn and sometimes we get ALOT OF HELP FROM UP ABOVE!
Hi, I have been on Effexor XR for 3 years and I have gained about 40-50pounds, most when my dose was increased to 225, now I am on 75mg b/c I'm getting ready to wean off the medicine in a couple of weeks, and I haven't lost anything yet. My eating habits have not changed and I exercise. I have always been underweight and I could eat whatever I wanted...I'm only 26 years old...I know my metabolism has changed some, but not enough to pack on 40 pounds.
give it another couple of day, maybe a week and see how you feel. Klonopin is long lifed, and sometimes it could take about 2-4 weeks to even feel like its not in you. But definently, if you end up not needing them, that awsome, but Id suggest getting your script filled "just in case" and just forget about em, unless ya need them.
She called in bupropion (same as the other Bup I've been reading about?) 1 pill a day and then 2 pills a day after 3 days), she also prescribed a Clonidine patch (2.5mg and you wear for one week). She said to apply at bedtime because it would make me drowsy. Should i go cold turkey while on these 2 meds? Today so far I have only dowened 10 Norcos total because I have been crawling out of my skin. I feel guilty posting as I read people saying they have had an 8 pill addiction for 5 years. Wow!
Paxil's sexual side effects is caused by an increased neurotransmission of serotonin in the central nervous system, a stimulating effect at postsynaptic serotonin receptors and effects on the peripheral nervous system.
During my last anxiety episode I lost 12 pounds in 3 weeks and I was down to a weight of 120. That was in May. Now it is October and I have gained some of it back but not all of it, probably about half. I don't think that it is going to make you lose huge amounts of weight but rather it is not going to bloat you and make you gain weight, at least from my experience. Of course eating habits and exercise always play a role as well.
I have an 18 year old sister who has an anxiety issue. Our mother is bi-polar and is also a drug addict but she is the only one at this point that my sister will talk to her doctors.
Q told me to back up to the 600 mg doses of Neurontin, and prescribed Imitrex, one to two as needed, to tackle the bouts of what he and Dr. K think might be migraine. Okay, I tried it last night, and again this morning. I felt a tightness in the neck and jaw after last night's dose, just as the patient instructions from the pharmacy said I might with the initial dose. However, it wasn't severe, nor did it persevere. Today, no such sensation. I'm starting to like my pharmacy a lot.
How long have you been on your current medication regimen? The Zoloft can take up to 8 weeks to be effective, and the Klonopin may need to be dosed differently. For Klonopin to be the most effective, typically it is recommended to be dosed twice daily. you may need to speak with your doc about that.
My doctor prescribed me Tegretol (carbamazepine), Wellbutrin (bupropion) and increased my dose of Klonopin. Has anyone had any experience with any of these medications?

I went into surgery and had an A&P repair, partial hysterectomy and an umbilical hernia repaired. My problems started out as OCD. Then chronic fatigue syndrome, followed with debilitating migraine headaches. A couple of years later I had to have surgery to remove endometriosis and a cyst on my ovary. After six months I got pregnant and I had my second son by C-section.

I had moved my medication down to 100mg of bupropion and .5mg of clonazepam for six months. Now about ten days ago I stopped both. I feel anxious and out of it. How long will these feelings persist? I wanted to see if the medications were causing anxiety and some moodiness. I just got tired of taking the meds and wanted to test the waters without them. What is a fair amount of time till all the meds are out of my system and am 100% on my own? I am open to suggestions as well..
8 years ago I started on benzodiazepines (klonopin, lorazepam, alprazolam over the years) and I have been on low-dose therapy ever since.
