Bumps under eyes cholesterol

Common Questions and Answers about Bumps under eyes cholesterol

bumps

Years ago I started getting these little bumps under my eyes that were more noticeable (I can see more of them)when I pulled down the skin. Then, ten years ago I was diagnosed with Hyperaldosterism. The endocrinologist said the lumps were a symptom ( not cholesterol or calcium deposits or skin tags- I can't think of the name she used)of the adrenal gland tumor. She said nothing could be done to get rid of the lumps.
As anything else - lip sticks of glosses give me little sores on my lips and cause them to puff up and get little scabs and peel contantly - i also get dry patches under my eyes and eye lids. When I visited a doctor they told me I may have an allergy to nail polish and an ingrediant in lip glosses/balms its also happens when I were nail polish. After removing it it usually clears up within a week.
I've had these little white bumps under my tongue, on the roof of my mouth towards the back and on the inside of my lower lip for about a year and a half. They do not hurt. They are uncomfortable as my mouth feels rough using my tongue. They just appeared one day. I have been going to many specialist in Vancouver over the past year and a half and have stumped them all so far.
I had the same problem - red swollen itchy eye which started on the skin just under my left eye as the weeks went on it spread to the eye lid, the bridge on my nose, between my eye brows and to to skin round my other eye. it drove me in sane it was so imbarassing going into work. On the days it wasn't as red it was very dry bumpy and scaly horrible. The attack lasted months and the skin was starting to look wrinkly!
They are not bumps. If I rub the area w/ a towel they do not rub off at all. I tried to remove one with tweezers, and it was very tacky (as in sticky) and clearly goes deep under the skin. Part of it broke off but I could still see that the pore was plugged and a day or two later top of the plug was sticking out again. i can't find ANYTHING online that looks like it.
Since then I have been pretty healthy until recently. About 8 weeks ago I started getting these severe pains in my right side under my rib cage. When I take a deep breath it is like someone is stabbing me. I have no fever and this pain is re-occuring. Some days I am fine, others I can't move. I have been to the emergency room twice. The first time they told me my liver enzymes were real high but there was no sign of pancreatits and they sent me home with pain killers.
Mine are actually little slightly raised skin colored bumps or vesicles. They look like tapioca seeds under your skin. You will notice they are whiteish and don't blanch when the itching is really intense. The itching goes away if you don't scratch them for a while or apply cold to them...but it's incredibly and insanely annoying to try to leave them alone. You do just want to rip your hands and feet OFF! It's terrible.
If you divide your total cholesterol by your HDL (TC/HDL) the goal is to keep it under 5. My husband's ratio was under 2, but his doctor really pushed for him to take a statin drug for some reason that I didn't understand.I am about to finish my Herbalist certification and I have strong leanings toward herbal remedies when practical and since his number was no where near approaching 5, I suggested Red Rice Yeast instead.
It is in the form of small yellow bumps under the surface of the skin of my upper lip. They have been there for at least 25 to 30 years, and I am not aware of them progressing. My father had some bumpy outcroppings around his eyes that the doctor told him were cholesterol. One of my sisters (an RN) also has something she says is similar. I know that xanthoma is a genetically aquired condition that is normally a symptom of hyperlipidemia, but am having trouble finding what to do about it.
I wasn't under any stress, things were fine, I spent the summer out in the sun constantly (maybe a little too much). I started feeling really really tired to the point where I didn't want to get out of the house much. I was really not feeling depressed or anything like that just exhausted. Went to the Dr. no mono, no thyroid probs, no abnormalities just a UTI which was treated with antibiotics and the same day I also got a flu shot. Two days later bam the nausea sets in.
This was the first occurrence of many facial swelling issues, some that looked like hives (red bumps), but most just extreme swelling of one or both eyes, lips, and even swollen areas on my forehead and cheeks at times. One lip swelling incident was so extreme that I thought my skin would split. My family said I looked like a Who from Who-ville. (Have mercy!) As the next month went by the condition progressed.
High blood cholesterol - People with high blood cholesterol have an increased risk for stroke. Also, it appears that low HDL (“good”) cholesterol is a risk factor for stroke in men, but more data are needed to verify its effect in women. Poor diet - Diets high in saturated fat, trans fat and cholesterol can raise blood cholesterol levels. Diets high in sodium (salt) can contribute to increased blood pressure. Diets with excess calories can contribute to obesity.
I have had this problem on and off for over 13 years and I find that it occurs less when my weight is lower and my cholesterol is down and I'm under less stress. Also I find that I have had less occurrences on the quinine drug, virtually none until recently, when I gained ten pounds suddenly. These are things that have been considered in my case, but I'm a 40 year old woman. When these bumps appear, I often get dizzy and run a low fever and my face gets red and hot.
I am now almost twenty, and my forehead is still the same, only now it is spread to my temples and on my cheeks right under my eyes, beside my nose. The rest of my cheek area is clear almost all of the time. The break-outs are not white heads or black heads, they are just little red bumps. It almost looks like a heat rash. I just recently tried pro-activ, and the repairing lotion made me itch and I broke out. I do not know what else to do!
I know you said my symptoms are not congruent with herpes but, I have a mark on the under side of my penis in the skin fold i noticed it today when i was limp.
I guess this got erased yesterday because I posted to both eye care and neurology forums. Sorry - I didn't know the rule. Thanks for helping me this time. ;) ------- I'm a 26 year old white male and I'm an architecture student. I've generally been described as healthy by my doctors. Here's a chronology of what's been going on.
This morning I discovered a strip of yellow color on the skin of both eyelids (whites of eyes seem clear and no yellow)...As you can imagine my first reaction was jaundice... Has anyone experienced this? I don't see my Doc for another 2 weeks and sure would appreciate any advise as to how much I should be concerned...
I've had all the basic tests done, liver, kidneys, cholesterol etc. All were fine cholesterol was a little high. 1 thing I have had consistent aside from the hsv symptoms is kidney stones. I don't know why I am still experiencing symptoms ie: nasal flare, fatigue in the arms. I would have thought these would have dissipated. I'm assuming some is stress and the other is just not sleeping enough.
Some CRP tests can tell if you are more prone to heart attacks and that is why my pcp ordered it for me - because my cholesterol was up (caused by thyroid) and he wanted to put me on cholesterol med, but I kept refusing it because I felt that when my thyroid levels got back in line, so would my cholesterol.
Drug from hell, levaquin i started takeing the meds that nite i came back from the doc, immediatly after takeing the drug i was so sleepy that i couldnt keep my eyes open it knocked me rite out.as a couple days past i felt like crap i was sleeping later then i noramly do an it was hard for me to get up it took all i had in me to get out of bed i started getting more then a little concerned.
Otherwise she seems to be healthy, although overweight. Her blood pressure and cholesterol are normal. Her eyes have been checked, but she sees "spots" as she calls them. She's seen a neuro-ophthalmologist about this, and he did not find anything wrong with her vision or her eyes. We don't know what to think, don't know what to do next. Has anyone experienced anything like this with a child, or adult, or have any ideas about what could be causing this problem for my child??
Things became even worse during lyme treatment I had an irregular heart rythm along with a strong beat that felt like my heart was going to beat out of my chest, insulin resistance, low blood pressure, and low blood sugar (reactive hypoglycemia), headaches, severe migraines, neck tightness, joint pain, severe muscle pain, eye dryness, severe light sensitivity, burning skin on hands and feet, skin dryness, puffy eyes, water retention, all over body nerve pain, terrible feet pain, calf pain, h
My primary doctor was concerned because my cholesterol, glucose, and creatinine (historically low normal) were climbing as was my blood pressure. My PCP's test of TSH only was 1.02 (.40 - 5.50), in other words though it was "in range", it had gone up from previous levels. At this point I was practically hemorrhaging the first 2 days of my period but nobody ever asked me about that. BECAUSE OF THE POSTING PROBLEMS, I'll post the labs in a new comment box, following.
I have enjoyed a symptom-free existence from of all these medical issues for over ten years (aside from seasonal allergies that are very easily controlled by Reactine). Oh, and I had moderately high cholesterol (6.1). This year has been a pivotal and frustrating year for me in terms of health. I am currently a happily married, stay at home mom of an 8 year old boy (with Autism) and a 13 year old boy. Life is good except for new health issues.
Fighting While Sleeping Another physiologic phenomenon that many UARS patients experience is that they’re constantly under a low grade state of stress or anxiety.Whether or not they feel this way while they’re awake, while they’re sleeping, their bodies are in a constant mode of "fight or flight." Both hormonally and neurologically, having UARS can put your body under enormous stress.
I don't know Barb. I've done tons of research on it myself and yes, looked at the photographs before as well. In fact I've read several papers that state that pretibial can be related to hypo as well as to Graves. It's very mysterious. The cellulite stuff I have seems to be the "mucopolysacchirides within the dermis" and my skin is still so dry it hurts.

I developed high cholesterol regardless of a good diet. Then came my final hyper phase in late 2008 when my hands would tremble at work and when I'd be putting on mascara. I'd have bouts of unexplained diahrrea. I thought I was developing Parkinsons like my father had before he died. I was going to the doctor, fearful I was having heart trouble. EKG's came back okay. I was told to go back on anti-depressants. STILL the doctor did not test anything other than the TSH and guess what?
