Common Questions and Answers about Bumps under eyelids contacts

bumps

Avatar n tn I have been suffering from ear pain, ear pressure, sinus pressure around my eyes and nose, feel like I am in a daze, cannot wear contacts, puffy eyes, eyes sometimes feel bulgy, and bumps under my top eyelids. My family doctor kept telling me it was allergies and I was on a ton of medications. The medications made me sick, and I wanted to make sure it was allergies, so I went to an allergist. The allergist told me I have absolutely no allergies. Now I was stunned.
755712 tn?1233788474 I have in the past had small bumps on the inside of my eyelid which were apparently from my contacts...this was treated and also mentioned at my most current appointment (he did not see this at the time). Also, I've had scratched cornea's on another occasion....this was also mentioned and again this did not seem to be a problem at the time. I would like some feedback on what I need to do. I would like to wear my contacts again....but want it to be comfortable.
Avatar f tn Hi, I was diagnosed with 'Ocular Rosacea' and 'Dry Eye Syndrome'. I have used Restasis and have tried allergy drops. My eyes are always red and feel as if I have something in them (which is the bumps under my eyelids). Does anyone know what I can do about this. I've been to so many eye Dr's. and I cannot get them cleared up. I used to wear contact lenses and now I can no longer wear them. It has been almost 5 years since I was able to wear my contacts.
Avatar m tn I have been under the care of an opthalmologitst and my pressures have been around the same. My doctor has also said that my contact lenses (acuvue 2) are not letting sufficient oxygen to my eyes. I do have some visible veins leading to the cornea. He said I should continue to use them and in the next couple of months if the condition does not get better we can consider another contact lens.
Avatar n tn In the last year she has been having trouble with her contacts popping out and some small bumps on the inside of her eyelids. We are looking for a more permanent option. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
1823918 tn?1317422435 I am a 33 year old female, and for the past 3 weeks my eyelids began to swell. 3 weeks ago I had my annual contact exam (contact wearer for 19 years) and I also got my eyes dilated for the first time. I noticed about 8 hours later my right bottom lid began to swell and itch, I (thought that it was from some older eyeliner) so I took some benadryl and went bed.
Avatar m tn m experiencing are irritation when I blink, slight redness, slight swelling of the eyelids, small mucus discharge at tear ducts, and it still gets irritated when I try to put my (new) contact in. Any ideas on what this might be/measures I should take to expedite the healing process?
Avatar f tn Ive seen many patient come in because of infections over a little eyelash stuck under the eyelids. Ive had a women find out she had eye cancer too late and lost her eye because she didnt much of her irritation. Just go in! Seriously! Not joking or trying to scare you at all im just saying it may not look dramatic, but you only have two eyes. Lose one and you lose a lot....lose both and you lose ur whole vision.
Avatar n tn I do have the same bumps under my eyes it is called syringoma
1854507 tn?1322631960 So about a month ago i noticed some strange little white bumps on my lower eyelids and started getting a burning sensation in my eyes. So i searched the net and it looked like i had dry eyes or blepharitis ! So i then started using over the counter dry eye drops but they didnt really help they just eased it for little while.
Avatar f tn When I squint with my contacts in, there is no pain, but when I squint without my contacts in it feels like my inner eyelids are scratching my cornea (the place where my contacts used to be) I have been sleeping in my contacts a lot of times and not taking them out for long periods of time. When I take my contacts out there is a slight stinging when I open my eyes too long and when I wake up in the morning my eyes feel very dry and scratchy. what is this?
Avatar n tn More than 7 months ago, I was diagnosed with a bad case of viral conjunctivitis in my left eye. About 14 different medications later, I still have this chronic "allergic" conjunctivitis in both eyes. I have been living in Spain for about one year now, and the doctors here keep telling me that I'm allergic to the environment. I'm not experiencing any type of pain, the color of my inner eyelids seem to fluctuate between very red, pink, and even a white color).
Avatar f tn My eyelid has been itching and swelling for about 2 or 3 days now, it is only the lower eye lid, the skin underneath my eyeball. It looks like there could be bumps under there, almost a yellowish color, but hard to tell because it's mostly slightly red. I don't know if any clear fluid was coming from it or from my eye and when I pushed it to itch it that's when I saw a tiny amount of fluid.
19931670 tn?1486845153 It is a very common cause for people to have to stop wearing contacts. Depending on how bad it is it can take the big bumps under the upper lid a year to go away. Few people can continue wearing contacts after GPC develops. Those that can usually go to daily disposable contacts ( New contact every day) and reduce wearing time to just outside the house public wear. There is a drop "opticrom" which sometimes helps.
Avatar n tn I started wearing one contact about 3 months ago, and that eye has been twitching off and on since I started with the contact. I'm using 30 day night/day contacts, but have taken it out for days at a time thinking the twitching is related to that. Sometimes it helps, but then the twitching starts again. Since it's only in the eye with the contact, I guess I can put 2+2 together and get 4, but is this normal when you've never worn contacts before?
Avatar n tn t know if that caused the start or a sting or new contacts. But now after wearing contacts for most of my life with no problems I'm not wearing them much. I would appreciate any ideas you have. Thanks again!
Avatar f tn I stopped using it, and everything was fine for a while, my lower eyelids were back to normal, without that awful wrinkles and puffiness and redness. But in about 10-14 days the problem started again. I again used Tobradex for about 3-4 days. Everything went back to normal, but all the symptoms are back once more. I don't use cosmetics, except for a facial cream (which I don't apply near the eyes) and an eye cream (Clinique), which I stopped using once I got this problem.
Avatar m tn Every so often, my eyelids will be come extremely dry. I first knew something was wrong when I noticed that when I rubbed my eyes, even slightly, little pieces of skin would come off of my top eyelid. This happened when I was putting on my makeup. Throughout the day, my eyelids (my whole face really) felt really heavy, thick, and uncomfortable. When I took off my makeup later in the day, my eyelids were burning, stinging, and incredibly dry.
Avatar f tn it feels like my eyelids are sticking to my eye. it hurts to touch the eyelid. it feels like i have a piece of dirt under my contact, but i took it out, cleaned it, and put it back in and it still feels the same. it feels like i have some sort of gunk on the bottom eyelid but nothing is there. i don't know what it is or what to do please help!!!
Avatar f tn I had my third opinion today - she said that it's definitely GPC, mild stage, and I have papillaries under both my eyelids. Since it's mild, she recommended using Zapitor twice daily, indefinitely, and trying contact lenses in a week or so. I do have a ptosis of 2 mm; she said that it may get better as the GPC resolves. Any opinion on the ptosis? It's bumming me out!
1008856 tn?1250634650 My left lower eyelid would get swollen as if there was a build up of fluid, so I do the a hot and cold compress to see which one helps, and also take Benadryl. After a day or so it seems to go away. Now it is on my upper eyelids only, one eye at a time. Normally it is the left and today it is the right. Takes a few days but it goes away. It also makes the sides of my face itchy but my eyes never have problems. Sometimes the night before it happens they get real dry and itchy.
