Bumps on tongue and roof of mouth

Common Questions and Answers about Bumps on tongue and roof of mouth

tongue

Today, I noticed several tiny bumps on my soft palate. They are the same size that one of the little bumps people get on their tongue sometimes would be. They do not hurt. \ I was curious as to what the reason for them may be?
I woke up this morning and noticed small bumps on the roof of my mouth, my tongue had a couple bumps on it as well and was a whitish color. I washed off my tongue and it didnt bleed and it doesnt hurt most of the white stuff washed off. I was wondering what this could be???????
I often get them on the under side of my tongue. I have a bump very similar to that on the roof of my mouth in the back. I just ate garlic bread, so I'm wondering if these bumps can also occur on the roof of your mouth? I mean I literally just noticed it. It doesn't hurt though it does look a little red around the bump.
Teeth and gums tingle, roof of mouth swollen, kind of like dry mouth (not thirsty though), tongue will not leave the swollen area alone. My dentist suggested trying biotene toothpaste and mouthwash for about two months to see if there is any improvement which I did and no improvement. I am going to call my dentist and tell her it did not work, but I thought I would write to see if you have heard of this and have any suggestions. Could it be allergies? I have not changed my way of eating.
Upon running my finger along the roof of my mouth, there is a hard, pea-sized lump on the roof of my mouth. If I open my mouth and look, it is not visible, and is located under the tissue. As this literally began to hurt within a matter of an hour or two, I am wondering if it's some sort of inflammation that will pass. The internet has provided few answers, and pointed me towards cancer: is it possible that cancer could start to bother me that quickly?
Hi-- I have a strange bump, pimple-like, on the roof of my mouth. It's pretty small, and in the mirror, it looks like a small bump, and it almost looks like there are maybe two other small bumps right by it, although I can't feel those with my tongue. I am a sexually active, usually healthy 26 year old. Is it possible that this bump is a symptom of an STD? Or is it more likely just to be some sort of small thing, or just a pimple?
The roof of my mouth is red and very painful. The redness and pain is only located on one side of the roof of my mouth. The area also does not feel smooth like it normally feels with my tongue. It feels like there are tiny little bumps. I'm not sure what this could be since I haven't done anything I could think of to aggravate the area and I haven't kissed anyone or had any kind of human contact within the area.
I can remove about 80% of it on my lower lip and under my tongue. I can only remove about 10% of it on the roof of my mouth as it is too far back. I don't know if there is any connection but this started about 2 weeks after having some dental work done. I still have a cracked tooth but my dentist said that it is very small and if it doesn't bother me too much, to leave it for now. I've uploaded a couple of pics. Any ideas as to what this could be? Is it a type of yeast? Thanks.
i am now on day 9 of itraconazole. it looks like the bumps on the base of my tongue are back and the white rings are starting to spread down the lateral edge of my tongue again. i will take my 10th and final dose of itraconazole tomorrow. I have another 10 day course of fluconazole that i will try to take after this to see if i can finally beat this thing. my diet is limited to only grilled lean meat and green veggies. I have a diabetic friend, he lets me test my sugar from time to time.
But the other day I noticed for the first time on my tongue, these bumps on the back, I didn't notice any in my throat or on the roof of my mouth. There are different ones. Like the ones in the middle just look like little ones and the ones in the back are big, I took some pictures, I hope they will help. I have a pic in the other bulletin below Picture: http://s98.photobucket.com/albums/l273/maleficentmoon/?

blistery looking things on soft pallet and a small glob of clear, sticky substance on tongue. Just plain weird, never experienced before.
Hi there, A clinical examination is necessary for correct diagnosis and management. The possible causes of your symptoms are oral thrush which is an overgrowth of yeast in the mouth causing white spots to occur on the tongue, gums, roof of the mouth and the inside of the cheeks. It is usually seen in people with poor nutrition, who use inhaled steroids or are taking antibiotics and individuals with suppressed immune systems.
But it's never happened before and I've experienced the stomach problems for years. First red spot appeared on left side and severe pain at the base of my tongue on the left side, and two more spots appeared near the tip, now there are small bumps all over my tongue and it feels like it's burning. I'm thinking I'll have to go see the doctor because I can't find any info online.
i also have raised red bumps on the back of my tongue that hurt when i eat and tingle when i'm not eating, and there's white/red spots on the roof of my mouth in the back, and on my uvulla/tonsils. i'm very concerned about this being an STD becuz i'm also experiencing vaginal discharge. the discharge has been occuring for about a month now, but it has no odor and there's no burning or itching.
The bumps are only on the back of my tongue near the tonsils and there is mild pain/soreness on the roof of my mouth. It does not hurt that bad but I'm worried it might get worse with time. Should I be very worried and what precautions should I take? Thank you.
Someone posted here about this last year, but there was no follow-up. Wondering what happened, because now I, too, have these weird, annoying bumps. The only three things that have changed/happened: dental work three weeks ago (filling replacement), started taking mushroom and respiratory supplements, tried to make my own Kefir water, drank a small glass and didn't like it. But Kefir grains do have yeast/bacteria and wondering if I have inadvertently cultured my mouth.
I just have a bad habit of nuking my food and sucking it down before it cools down haha and inevitably the front part of my tongue (or the roof of my mouth) pays the price. I am trying to keep this in check though. I am also experiencing a great deal of stress and anxiety right now (reallllly busy at work and also just put an offer down on a home so that is going on) and I hear that stress and anxiety can cause stuff like this.
These spots are not raised and they are not bumps, just part of the roof of my mouth and are about the size dime. What I find very strange about all this is I went to the Dentist and he said it all looked normal. I even asked if this might be a light case of Thrush and he insisted it wasn't so I agreed and went on my away, possibly accounting these symptoms to stress. I recently graduated and at the moment I am having a hard time finding a job.
In late December my throat was tight, a lump appeared on my lower neck for five days, one say my whole body felt numb and tingly and a lump appeared on the roof of my mouth that went after a week or so, my tongue also got two swollen bumps on it in the centre. Are these HIV symptoms? Should I retest? Is burning mouth syndrome a symptom of HIV? Or am I in the clear 100%?
This morning when I woke up my tongue was super dry like always and I pressed it up on the roof of my mouth and sucked it. It started bleeding from a spot near the front in the center.
Also a little more down, behind my tongue on the walls of my throat, there are small yellow lumpy looking bumps (as small as half a grain of rice). I've had a couple girlfriends who i've kissed but all healthy. And once tried oral sex for about 1 minute (because i hated it). Please give me advice on what this can be and if it's normal. It worries me thinking it may be herpes or something (God forbid) :( Thank you VERY much in advance!
I just kissed her one time for a brief second. I noticed some bumps on back of her shoulder and on her tummy she said those are bug bites got them from camping. After nearly five days of this exposure I have a sore on the tip of my tongue with little white puss (it wasn't a bump). it is small I don't have any pain (just slight tingling sensation when I touch the sore with my teeth) I can eat normally. I am not sure when was the last time I had cold sore on tongue.
It started when I was in class and I was scraping my tongue on the roof of my mouth cuz it felt like I had somethin on my tongue. the part I was scraping then felt wrinkly so I went to the bathroom to check it out. There was a tan like spot in the center of my tongue. It was like skin I could peel off with no pain. My friend told me it was just extra skin or dried skin I could peel off. I didn' believe it. I ten went to the doctor to check it out.

i also have red bumps all over my tongue the roof of my mouth also itches from time to time and i think there me bumps up there too, what is this is this normal i looked up about the red bumps on my tongue and they appear to be pappilomas or something they look just like them, so i figure that normal but whats with the roof of my mouth.
Like sometimes I'll wake up and the sides of my tongue are red and very sore or the roof of my mouth has a bump or sore on it but then I rinse with salt water and it goes away in a few days and sometimes I wake up with a red swollen taste bud or mouth pain and soreness. The gum is the weirdest thing.
After a few days and more pain and difficulty swallowing, I looked at my throat. I had about 10 ulcers on the back part of the roof of my mouth. They looked like canker sores to me and went away after about 7-10 days of using magic pink mouth wash. At this time I noticed a bump in the center of the top of my tounge. This bump initially looked like a blood blister. It is red with purple in it. It is a little smaller than the top part of a pencil eraser (width)and does not stick up very high.
