Common Questions and Answers about Bumps on skin won't go away

Avatar m tn Hello, Fungal infections mostly present as moist, red itchy rash but when it becomes chronic then it presents as dry , flaking skin rash. However the other possibility is of eczema skin or psoriasis skin. I suggest you to get an evaluation done from a dermatologist. Steroids prescribed in eczema can worsen the symptoms if it is a fungal infection.
Avatar f tn It started off about the size of a quarter and now it has spread all over my chest. The bumps won't go away, and I've been putting lotion on them and it only makes them feel worse. Like I said, the bumps look exactly like goosebumps, so they aren't red or anything. They're skin colored. Also, I recently got sun burnt and they became super itchy. If anyone has any idea of what this could possibly be, please let me know!
1415174 tn?1453246703 My forehead and cheeks broke out in a face rash that had small red non itcy bumps. That went away but then I have some larger itchy bumps that won't go away. I don't think they are an infection it is related to the allergy. I am only washing my face with Cetaphil and then adding 10% glycerin for some hydration to these spots. Glycerin is a natural substance found in the body and I don't think that is causing a problem. I do have eczema on my legs, and hands. 1. what could this be? 2.
Avatar n tn If the wound is not open, you can apply a drawing paste to draw the rubbish to the surface. Magnesium sulphate paste is a good drawing paste, but you can only apply it on to closed skin, NOT on open wounds. Bathing in salty water may also help.
Avatar m tn I have felt low grade flu like symptoms with mild headache and sore throat and general ill feeling since the prodrome that waxes and wanes but will not go away. I have been on 2 grams of acyclovir per day for pretty much the whole time, switching to valtrex once, but nothing will make this completely subside. I was also put on 2 courses of doxycycline for ten days each that didn't seem to do much..
Avatar m tn I now have the red itchy bumps all over my body excluding my genital area and face but they are starting to appear on my neck and I worry they will soon be on my face. The bumps do not go away, they turn into scabs or dry flakey spots and itch/burn now. I've changed nearly everything I use soap wise, which did not help. I've noticed that scratching only make's them worse and they swell up like a mosquito bite, but they itch so bad it's hard not to, and after showering is the absolute worst.
Avatar f tn I've had it over ten years, have gotten medication for it, prescribed and over the counter, and it won't go away. It is now the size of a silver dollar, and though I bring it up to doctors whenever I get a physical or pap, they shrug it off and say next time I come in they'll do a biopsy, if I'm that worried about it. Now, another one, the size of a dime, has appeared on my lower abdomen. What's up?????
Avatar n tn My entire family has a itchy blotchy rash that will not go away. My wifes appear to be bites but other family member are bumps and blotches. I have bug bombed the house and our dog stays outside. There is a pet snake in the house, could this the cause? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

THEY ARE red SPOTS WITH EITHER A LITTLE BROWN DOT OR DRY skin (FLAKY skin on IT) IT DOES NOT ITCH BUT IT IS SPREADING. I WENT TO THE DOCTOR TODAY, SHE SAID PUT CORTIZonE CREAM FOR A WEEK AND CALL HER TO SEE IF THEY DIMINISH, IF NOT I NEED TO BE on ANTIBOTICS AND STEROIDS, IT'S SOME skin DISORDER, I FORgoT THE NAME.
Avatar f tn Over the yrs I woukd go to the Dr, get a steroid injection or and or be placed on prednisone and the hives would go away for quite some time. The last time I had the hives now was 3 yrs that time, I had my current rash along with the hives. I got the steroids, it all went away for 1 yr. The next yr around mid to late May the red, bumpy insanely itchy rash reoccurred and I have not been rash free for more than a 2 wk period since then. The rash is much, much worse from May to September.
Avatar n tn Two days ago she had a dramatic fever and her mother kept her at home to sleep it off, and the next day she was totally fine, but that rash won't go away. I'm really worried about her, and was wondering if anyone had any /clue/ as to what it was, and if there are any non-medical procedures to help calm the rash or get rid of it, until they can dig up a decent doctor.
Avatar f tn The bumps started appearing on my other leg so that ruled out shingles and now they're on my arms and starting on my stomach. If anyone can tell me what this is I'd be ever so grateful. The bumps usually get hard before they open up, here's a picture of what the first cluster of bumps look like now: I've tried keeping them covered and I'm using bacitracin and alcohol on them to no avail. They still spread and seemingly get worse. Please help.
