Bumps on skin not acne

Common Questions and Answers about Bumps on skin not acne

bumps

Each bump is covered in little flaps of skin. They are not flat, rounded bumps, but instead they have multiple weird skin flaps on them. What are these bumps, and why can I not get rid of them? The only thing that I can think of is that it's fungal in nature, but that makes no sense to me.
Hi, How are you? Can you elaborate on the bumps that you mentioned? Acne usually occurs when pores on the surface of the skin become clogged (with bacteria, dirt and cells) which leads to pimples. Hormone changes related to puberty, menstruation, pregnancy, OCP and stress as well as medication side effect, high levels of humidity and sweating may be responsible. Try not to squeeze or scratch it to prevent scarring.
I wouldn't use Shea Butter on acne or blackheads as this may make them worse. A cream which contains benzoyl peroxide is good, but one from your doctor such as Duac gel may be more effective than store bought creams, as Duac also contains a topical antibiotic called Clindamycin.
i dont know how i started getting acne on my lower stomach.. i started getting acne there when i was 19 years old.. i want to know the cause and how to treat it..

It is normal...hormones are the devil. Lol. With my daughter I broke out like a teenage boy...This time I may get one or two every now and then. I treated with pre go safe stuff with my daughter but nothing worked. Ur skin should return to normal once ur little one gets here.
It is likely not acne it is more likely to be caused by dry skin and a lack of exfoliation which can clogs pores near hairs and appears as small white bumps. If it is this than it should clear in a week or two if you take regular showers and exfoliate. I have in the past had a slight form of this on my upper legs.
So i got really bad acne not that im pregnant i use to have it as a teen but it went away and it seems now i have it again anyone else have this issue?? Is it normal can we use anything to take it away?
I am really starting to get worried about these LARGE bumps that keep recurring on my face. I have acne and I know what acne is but these bumps are not acne. It started with this one huge (golf ball size) bump to the right of my chin. it was huge, hidious and painful. It popped and oozed out puss unlike I had ever seen before. It was hard puss and once it popped it never stopped for like the next three days. It kept growing back.
The DR gave me acne creme when I was younger but it did not help, it died out my skin and when I put on make-up I looked soooo ugly... So I do not recommend acne creme. If you insist on using it, use the light benzacreme and barely dat a tiny dot. A little goes a long way... I really have so much experience with acne and thanks for reading and good luck. Keep us posted!
I still get acne but not enough to panic. I had it really bad. I believe I found a regimen that worked for me. I was in the same boat as you. This is what I did and it finally worked after trying every med and over the counter product there ever was. Here is my regimen, of by the way, I am really light skinned and have oily skin. I stopped drinking milk, I noticed when I drank milk I developed cysts. Milk produces hormones that are known to break people out. I know drink almond milk.
Scrubing is not a wright technique to remove acne it damage skin permanent .
Hello, It can be acne or folliculitis skin. It is not advisable to use topical steroids on your own without a medical guidance as steroids have potent side effects. Tretamnet includes topical and oral antibiotics, topical retinoids, hormonal therapy, dermabrasion , phototherapy and laser resurfacing. Normally a combination of treatments is followed and if nothing proves effective then dermabrasion and laser therapy are useful. You can discuss these treatment options with your dermatologist.
Hi, I've heard the bumps called Acne Cysts. I just can't seem to find anything to help my acne and I guess trying to hide it with makeup isn't really helping much. But I'll try this and see if it will help :) Thanks!

I am now 33 and almost acne free. I am cheering you on to the finish line!!!!! Regarding the bumps on your face have you asked your Dr about it? I think it is a sx, so someone will probably post some good information for you. Yeah!!!!! you are counting down.....it will be over soon. CHEV: I may have missed one of your posts so I will ask now. Did you ever have your Dr appt about your swollen lympth nodes? If so, what did your Dr say? I hope you are doing well. I miss you!!!!
I am not sure if this is considered acne or is just some sort of skin disorder...my daughter is 9 and ever since I can remember she has had these little bumps on her arms....they are only on her arms...you can't see them but you can feel them...they feel like goose bumps when you touch her arm but they are always there...She is getting to the age that they are starting to bother her...any ideas...
hey, my forehead has numerous acne like red bumps, how would do know its acne or not? i have had them since 3 months? can this be a result of too much products? like face wash, mosturizers coz i used it a lot. i used to have clear skin until i started using those products three months ago. and i used a lot? how can this be treated. my bumps look red or skin coloured(very small)? can hydrocostrosine 1% treat this or will it cause acne?
Hi! First of all, please do not prick or poke at the bumps. Actually a subcutaneous skin (under the skin) nodule—the size of a pea and firm, is usually due to a neurofibroma (connective and nerve tissue), a ganglion cyst or a lymph node. Conditions causing skin granulomas should be ruled out. Swimming pool granuloma should be looked into first if you swim. This is caused by Mycobacterium marinum bacteria and the test is same as for tuberculosis.
They are little and alot on my arm to my shoulder. I even get some on my chest. Is this acne or is this something else?
