bumps

Hi- I have been noticing lately that I keep getting these tiny red bumps on my lips lately, along with occasional chapping/peeling. I've tried researching it online but all I can find is about herpes, but the pictures don't look the same. I'm wondering if this might be an allergic reaction to something, or just from dryness, or if I should actually be concerned. Any advice would be appreciated.
Hi amesw, Did you ever figure out what the tiny bumps on your lips were? My symptoms sound exactly like what you have. I also have thought that it could possibly be Fordyce, but the small patch of bumps on my lip are sooo tiny and are the same color as my lip that it doesn't seem to match the Fordyce symptoms. Like you, my lips are dry (they normally are not) and the small patch of very tiny bumps feels scaly when i run my tongue over it.
Hi, you doing I really hope you can help me or maybe prepare me for the results I will hear when I go to the doctor. For the past week I had bumps on the side of my lips. I just thought they where reg. bumps so I started using clearasil & face masks to get rid of it. Then it started to go away so I started to put coco butter to clear the marks. Then a few weeks later it reappear but now they started to surround the whole side of my lips.
Seemingly overnight, largish white bumps (many) have popped up on my outer lips. They don't hurt, the only reason I noticed them was because my underwear seemed to irritate the area a little. Of course I got freaked out, so I've been doing a bunch of research... a lot of the pictures & articles are about tiny white bumps like pimples, but these are large, like pea sized. They're flat & smooth. I am 20 years old, and have had sex with 3 men.
The bumps on the lips look like a lump that is under the skin. In fact, they're kind of hard to even see except that they are making the lips droop and crinkle in a weird way. When I run my finger down the lips, I feel them easily, and they are painful when I press on them (and painful when I don't now too). They look most like a large pimple that is under the skin. I forgot to mention that when I went to the doctor on Sept. 7, I only had 2 bumps on my vaginal lips.
So I've had this experience twice now, where i start out with red bumps on my lips which lend a sandpapery feeling to my lips and seep pinpricks liquid if I press my lips together. In a day they are forming small yellow crusts and the corners of my mouth are getting worse. There is a tingling sting on my lips, especially around the borders. The corners of my mouth will be sore and crusty and will split if I open my mouth too wide.
Last july I started noticing little bumps on the edges of my lips. They woud always feel chapped and get irritated. I went to the Dr and was sent to a dermatologist. I was told that they were just glands that got irritated and to try some allergy medicine. It has been over 6 months and it comes and goes. The bumbs ae always there but they bother me all the time. Sometimes even burn. I stay away from spacy foods now and am almost afraid to eat.
Today, 1 day later (September 10th), I noticed that the bumps on my vaginal lips look like they have risen more to the surface, and resemble large pimples. They are also more sore than they had been, although less itchy. I also continue to feel a tingling/tickly sensation under the skin on my vaginal lips. This sensation is different from the itchiness that I was describing, which felt like it was more on the surface and was much more severe of a feeling.
I have tiny itchy bumps on the left side of my lips - almost on the corner, but not quite - and near the edges. This started about 2 days ago. I am living overseas where I don't speak the language & it's hard to tell if the doctors understand (just on previous visits when I had a cold). The day that this occurred I tried a sample of a local homemade regional dish and was offered to take some home and ate some that night. The girl who offered me rinsed her fork but didn't wash it.
I also just yesterday noticed some little bumps along the edge on my labia minora. I'm setting up an appointment at a free clinic tomarrow but I am very stressed that it might be hpv and I've looked up symptoms and pictures and they don't look similar to mine but i am very concerned...are bumps on the labia minor that resemble taste bubs normal? Is it a symptom of a yeast infection or could it be an std?
I had what I thought was a cut on the corner of my mouth and I didn't think to much of it until about to days later when it sort of be came a circle on the side of my lip I often lick my lips and they get chapped a little over to the middle of my lip is starting to feel the same way the corner of my mouth did. And no I can see like little white bumps on the corners of both my lips and on my upper lip I don't know what this is I would like a little guidance.
Now these white dots have appeared on my lips. I don't have any pictures of my lips but i hope the info i gave is enough. Can someone please help me. I'm a little uncomfortable with this. Could it be STD's?
For the last 20 years I have gotten small red bumps on the sides of my fingers. They don't blister. They start out as one or two and then I might get a few more and they seem to cluster up on only the sides of my fingers. They are not itchy but they are sore to the touch when you run your finger over them. It feels like you have a splinter. They are slightly raised and red in color. They will stay for varying lengths of time and then dry up and go away.
They might vary in appearance depending on random condition of the lips which depends on the weather, health, diet etc....... I have EXACTLY the same white marks (fordyce granules) as in your photos.
Hi, Fordyce spots are small (1-5mm), slightly elevated yellowish or white papules or spots that can appear on the lips and inside of the cheeks. They may occur as a solitary lesion or more frequently in crops of about 50-100. Fordyce spots are a variant of sebaceous glands (the glands that normally produce sebum and are usually found within hair follicles). Fordyce spots are sebaceous glands without hair follicles. They are present in 80-95% of adults.
I have had an on going battle (10+ years) with these strange bumps that grow all over my face near my mouth, nose, forehead, chin, beard area, and small ones all around the eyes. I even get them inside my nose, some on chest. They are rows of hundreds of though bump like pores with a white center. If you squeeze, some will discharge a stringy white substance. Some are small hard, raised bumps that won't discharge anything but have some strange white material deep in the skin and center of bump.
-Continuing, I have recently started to notice some marks on my lips and small bumps on the oral mucosa, similiar to the ones seen in this picture (but without the discoloration and pigmentation of the tissue) http://www.pxe.org/virtpat/docs/graphics/lip.gif -The marks I only at first noticed on my lower lip and I dismissed them at first because about 8 days ago I had my teeth bleached and the dentist assistant splashed bleach on my gums and lips causing much burning and scabbing.
I am a 19 year old female and I shaved my vaginal lips near the entrance into my vagina a week ago and nothing was wrong, the next day I got bumps that appeared to be under the skin and on top, I didn't think anything of it and had sex with my boyfriend the next day. The bumps got worse some of them became cuts, I can see the pink layer of my skin. The following day I found a cut about and inch long, It looks infected and covered in pus.
About 2 weeks ago I noticed some tiny bumps on my upper lip. they were kind of clustered and I really had to stretch my lip to see them, but I could feel them.I did some reasearch and thought I had Fordyce spots although they were still much more subtle than any pictures I saw of Fordyce spots. Since then, the clusters have dissapeared and now I have them almost all over my upper lip and a little on my lower lip.
They burn and tingle, and then get dry and crack. I feel tingling/burning in concentrated places on my lips but never see any visible blisters or bumps!! I've never had any cold sores or fever blisters. I've been tested via Herpeselect IgG 1&2 blood serum tests and the results have come back 0.3 for both!! Most recently tested March 2008. So, it's saying I don't have oral or genital herpes. I don't know what this is, but it's really bothersome, and I don't know if it's contagious.
I did visit the health food store looking for a natural lip balm, and was advised that Vitamin E oil would be safe to put on his lips. Is this safe? We have tried many balms - my worry is that the constant use of those ingredients might be harmful to his little system. Again, thank you for any assistance. I have pictures if there is a way to send.
Hello, The bump on lips can be due to folliculitis or boil but for the bumps on penis, warts should be ruled out. Warts are small painless growth on skin caused by Human Papilloma Virus. These can be light or dark. They are usually oval in growth and raised forming rough surface in the skin. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
we have sex constantly lol and it's pretty rough, with the first semester of my freshman year ending, we went on break and since wednesday i have been feeling pain when i wipe my vagina and noticed some pink bumps. there are like five, one on my but, two on my lips, and one on the i guess you would say rim of my vagina where the penis goes in... they hurt but this only started happening after we stopped having sex, and after our last time i showered and shaved (pretty closely).
it's been two weeks, and NOTHING has changed except worsened if any for my lips...the bumps on them have gone away and now they are bright red and have such sensitivity it constantly feels as if they are on fire even though i put aquaphor, cortizone, cold core swabs, etc...i have tried so many things. PLEASE help, i've seen my doctor twice in the past few weeks, and it's costly to go back.....i have pictures of the bite....before and now, and my lips before.
They are small yellowish-white granules on the inner surface and border of the lips. Treatment of Fordyce spots includes CO2 laser or electro desiccation, TCA chemical peels(temporary treatment),diathermy or laser vaporization. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps.
