Common Questions and Answers about Bumps on face around mouth

bumps

During that time I was using Proactiv. The bumps appear only on the sides of my mouth; about 4 on the left side and 2 on the right side. I discontinued use of Proactiv since it didnt work and wash my face twice daily. I know they're not acne. They are clear bumps with no coloration at all and I'm unable to pop them like acne. I use no other products on my face. What are they and how can it be treated?
I recently noticed 2 sets of 2 red bumps (maybe a little bigger than tiny) under my lower lip, on each side of my mouth and one set of 3 on my top lip. I can't recall if they appeared white at first, but the turned out red. The 3 on the upper lip went away on their own. The ones on the lower lip are still there. Not raised anymore, but theres a bit of a mark where they were. One of them broke open and had some kind of liquid inside, then it scabbed over and kind of went away.
These red bumps on the chin could possibly be due to perioral dermatitis, acne, fungal infection or impetigo In perioral dermatitis there is redness of the skin around the mouth .There are small red bumps or pus bumps, and mild peeling. Acne can cause appearance or red pus filled bumps on the chin. In impetigo a bacterial skin infection there are red and blistery sores that usually appear around the mouth and nose. The sores may ooze for a few days and then crust over.
I have recently been getting alot of pimples on my face mostly on my cheeks and in the pimples are coming in the same area....now it is flaking I don't know if that a good sign? Also what can I do to eliminate this problem?
My husband has red blotches around his mouth and on his chin. They don't look like zits (He has very clear skin)... we thought maybe rosacea, but they are small blotches. They aren't spreading like a rash and have been there off and on for almost a year. He doesn't have them anywhere else on his face. They almost look like razor burn bumps, but he says their not. Any suggestions???
I've been monogamous with the same man for over a year. 4 months ago I broke out around my mouth (the right corner), with one bump on the top of my lips and the other on the bottom. It started as a tiny red bump, & when I tried to pop it, it began bigger (but never did discharge anything). It's been 4 months, & I still have purplish scarring in those areas, but now it seems like red & white bumps have appeared all around the left side of my face.
My boyfriend recently developed some tiny white bumps around his mouth and chin about a day or two after we had oral sex. This has happened only one other time in the past 6 months. My question is that I was concerned that this was a result from the oral sex because I have recently found out from my gyn that I have the HPV virus which I was assured is a very common thing. My boyfriend is 46 and I am 41.
My finger, hand, wrist, inner elbows, back of knee and on and around my mouth have all undergone recurring stages of itchy breakouts, drying out, peeling, then (sort of) healing, but not totally. It gets worse just before my period. I've had blood tests done that show nothing, been prescribed steroid creams and anti-fungal creams. A nutritionist told me that my system is out of pH balance and I have a vitamin defiency.
At its worst, it was a red, oily, tight rash on my chin that extended around both sides of my mouth and then underneath my nose. It also itched, but not severely, and it had some small red blisters in it. One time I even woke up with swollen red lips that also had burning blisters around the edges along with split corners! At first I thought it was Perioral Dermatitis, so I put some apple cider vinegar (ACV) on it to dry it out because I had read online that ACV could cure it.
hi, im scared becuase i have these bumps on my face and penis. they are like under the skin, and dont really swell up. they are kinda small bumps n when i pop them by squeezing them this white pus like stuff comes out. they dont go away they seem to spread when they are poped. this has been goin on for along time.. sence i was 12. but they were only around my mouth. n im a virgin. so i dont think its an STD is it ? im just need to know if i should get medical help or something.
Small hard white/clear bumps that started out on the right corner of my face close to my mouth, and are now spreading over the entire right side of my face. I went to a dermatologist and she said it just looked like an allergic reaction, but a more specific answer and solution would be much more helpful. I thought it was possibly my face wash that was causing the break-out but haven't used anything except for mild soap and water for over a month and a half now.
Just when I think I'm safe, the process starts all over again. What could this be? It only appears on my face, and only around my mouth.
MY 2 YEAR OLD HAS RED BUMPS ALL AROUND HIS MOUTH, THEY ARE SPREAD OUT...UNDER HIS NOSE AND JUST AROUND THE MOUTH & ON THE CHINE....THEY DONT SEEM TO BE BOTHERING HIM..WHAT IS IT?
Hi, you doing I really hope you can help me or maybe prepare me for the results I will hear when I go to the doctor. For the past week I had bumps on the side of my lips. I just thought they where reg. bumps so I started using clearasil & face masks to get rid of it. Then it started to go away so I started to put coco butter to clear the marks. Then a few weeks later it reappear but now they started to surround the whole side of my lips.
I just got random red bumps around my left eye. I use to wear the foundation I've always put on and now this!!! Is it contagious?? How often does it come back?? How long will it take before it goes away?? It itches but I'm able not to itch except when I wake up I forget all about it.
Lips itch and become red and unsightly (I thought it was a food reaction??) Then intense itching around mouth area and up to my nose, small bumps appear on each side of my mouth. My face around mouth area is beginning to feel and look like leather and wrinkles intensify. I've had 4 doctor visits about this with no healing results. Dx was dermititis and rosacea, Prescriptions for MethylPrednisolone, Locoid and Metroulam have not helped. I use Benedryl daily to releive itching.
So about a week ago I got this red bump right above my lip and below my nose. It's kind of sore, and feels hard. Then I just noticed a second one below my lip, on my chin. I don't know anything that could have caused it or what it is. It isn't ichy, so I don't think it's a bug bite, but it's not like a zit at all, either.
I have had this rash on my mouth for over a month now. It has gotten worse. It started with a small bump below my nose. Now it is above and below my mouth. Red bumps. No puss or anything in the bumps. They are kind of dry and scaly. They are kind of itchy and burn a little. I did some research and all that I can assume is that it is Perioral Dermatitis. I haven't changed makeup. I have changed my birth control in the past 4 months. I was on the shot, now I am just on a pill. I have dry skin.
It gets really dry around my nose, mouth, and chin. I dont get any bumps there, and it doesnt itch. It just gets really dry. It has been like this for about a year or two now & I really want to know what is happening. ITs taking away from my self esteem. Every summer and winter it gets worse. Ive been using Aveeno"even tone texture facial wash" & Aveeno lotion. I do not think Im using the right lotion but I have been using this for about 8 months now and It works sometime.
I would like to know if anyone could tell me what issue I've been having with my face for sometime now (few months+) and any medications I might have to get from a doctor and any other remedies. I've been starting to have dry, red skin on both sides of my face which seem to be centralized on the area just to the side of the corners of my mouth, and then directly downward and slightly inward above the chin - sort of like a "U" formation.
I have eczema on the skin around my mouth and even on my lips. Nothing seems to work. I recently noticed that after eating anything with tomatoes, even ketchup, causes my eczema around my mouth to get worse than it already is. So I have eliminated it from my diet for almost a year now. I have even started using organic toothpaste without fluoride and sodium lauryl sulfate.
As rosacea progresses, other symptoms can develop such as semi-permanent erythema( redness), telangiectasia (dilation of superficial blood vessels on the face), red domed papules (small bumps) and pustules, red gritty eyes, burning and stinging sensations. The disorder can be confused with, and co-exist with acne vulgaris and/or seborrhoeic dermatitis.
I was wondering about jaundice and If it is possible for only some of the skin (on the face) to become yellow and not the whole body. My eyes don't appear yellow either. Furthermore, my natural skin color is very pale, and I was thinking that maybe the discoloration isn't showing up on me as much as it would on a person with a more average skin color.
I think I may be allergic to some ingredient in a lot of face moisturizers and foundations. My face has recently broken out into tiny bumps (which has happened to me before, mostly on my forehead and around my mouth/chin) and they usually dissipate within a few days. This time the bumps have become itchy and flaky. They are on my entire face, around my nose, under my eyebrows etc. However, they are not on my neck. What can I do to help alleviate this?
