For about 6 years I have had constant bumps on my arms and legs. Some are ingrown hairs, others are more like pimples or clogged pores. A few areas are worse than others, but all are fairly bad. I have tried exfoliating and moisturizing regularly (I use Aveeno typically), but nothing seems to work. I do have mildly dry skin, but as I said, I moisturize fairly regularly and strangely do not have any significant problems with acne on my face.
I used to get them and it was embarrassing to have all these little bumps on my arms. Didn't want anyone to pat me or wrap their arm around me if I had short sleeves. I read once that often they're caused by dry skin. I've never particularly had dry skin but I tried a light cream on them after my shower and noticed a big improvement just within a couple weeks. That was years ago that I made the change and my arms are still in good shape (well, except for being old).
No, there is definitely no bumps. It's like when you press hard on your skin and take it off and it becomes red type of redness. lol sorry but that's the only way I could put it. I'm going to see someone on Wednesday and will let you know then.
The spots are random, some days I have more than others, I have one on my right hand. several on my lower left leg and foot, and several on my left forearm. Nothing on my right arm, neck, shoulders, face, head etc.
I washed my sheets because it was happening and no change there, so it's not the detergent and the only new product I'm using is a new toothpaste.
i get them on both the inside and outside of my arms and legs and they have been getting progressivly worse. it runs in my family however my parents just say that i have goosbumps all the time. if i tan they becomeredder and they just dont want to conseal themselves. it was just a visible problem for a while however when i shave/wax my legs the bumps bleed and about an hour later i ger a rash.
It first started with a small area on my right arm but the rash became bigger, then on both my arms and now on the front of my leg. The bumps look like pimples and got inflamed/raised like a small mosquito bite when scratched. It fits all the descriptions of a heat rash but it has been a week now and they are not on the neck, in the groin, under the breasts, or in elbow creases. Just on my arms and legs!
Not only is it on the back on my arms, elbows and thighs the bumps are on my buttock and my legs with a lot of bumps present. The itching is also worse and my skin where the bumps are is very red. The bumps usually last the duration or the cruise, 7 days. Once I get back home it slowly goes away. I just think its weird that I have never gotten the bumps as bad as I do nor on my buttock at home as to when I am on a cruise.
well i have white bumps on the high part of my arm that are spreading lower and lower even on my chest and on my legs and even on my neck and under chin too now and i've been to doctors and they said it was keratin thats not escaping from under the skin and they gave me some cream to treat it after about 2 or 3 days of using it i broke out in hives and a rash so i stopped using it and am very confused why its spreading and if you try to pop them white stuff could( be keratin) that looks lik
I used to get them a lot. When my allergy to polyester was mild. For I have fine hair on arms and legs. So the skin gets a bit tough and the hairs can't make it through. So if you have fine hair and thick or firm skin, then this can happen. For a person with allergy to polyester, the areas of contact which are most sensitive will do this. Back of upper arms, from the polyester they put in threads of cotton clothes for strength. so the sleeve thread around the end of it rubs more there also.
Hi, I'm 24 years old and for the past two weeks I've been itching like CRAZY only on my legs and arms. it started on my arms, I've not changed any soaps, I don't use fabric softener, I've washed everything I own just in case of allergic reaction, When I scratch these white rash-like bumps show up all over my arms andlegs, it's worse at night to the point where I can't sleep.
The bumps are on my hands, feet, buttocks, waistline, arms, legs, and genitals. The worst bumps occur on genitals, waistline, and buttocks. I originally thought it was scabies, but nobody in my house at school has been affected at all..and I have seen no track marks on my body. I have noticed the itching becomes persistent when I am hot and my skin is moist. Please help!!
ive been taking benadryll 25mg and zyrtec 10mg regularly, and the rash had all disappeared except that my cheeks and palms still get flushed when im nervous, cold or take a hot shower. tonight, my legs were itchy and i noticed small, itchy red bumps on my legs and arms that look nothing like my previous rash and i am very worried about this new rash. it has been a month now and i just want it all to go away. any help would be much appreciated!
if you have same thing as red small bumps are they itching if so did you go see a doctor or what?
I have a history of eczema, in the past, it was just a few dry ares on my legs. Early this year, I started getting small blisters on my hands and bumps on my thighs, legs, belly and arms. The dermatologist did a biopsy and ruled out scabies, but gave a cream for it just in case. I took two separate steroid cycles and after just completing the second one I've had the worst outbreak to date (blisters on hands, itchy bumps all over my arms, belly, thighs and legs).
