I went to my Dr in February for several "random" problems I was having. She did some blood work and then 'wait and see'. Last week I caught a terrible virus and was in the hospital with the worst head and neck pain of my life (on top of throwing up, fever and chills). They did a Spinal tap and CT scan to check for meningitis and found it have Chiari...all aligned with the "random" symptoms I had been complaining about months before. I have an mri this week.

We do have a list of Drs for you to use to research Drs.....you are right in that you need to find a NS that is a true Chiari specialist....too many Drs do not know how Chiari can and does affect us......
Only more testing will help determine what course of action you will require BUT I had surgery to help prevent the formation of a syrinx so, I feel you may be a surgical candidate....but make sure it is a true Chiari specialist.
He had five surgeries before two for the eye and three for the hip I could not make him go through another surgery at the age of eight. I feel so guilty and so sad I just want to hear that I did the right thing only another bulldog owner would understand what I am going through and all their health issues. I took such good care of him. I even shipped him from Taiwan to Los Angeles. I am so hurt I can’t even think straight. Just want to hear I made the right decision.
