Avatar n tn I am regularly using Ventloin, Fomertrol+budesonide and Motelukast+LC. The only problem is breathlessness arising from throat tightness. I never wheeze in the life. The throat tightness is getting reduced when i take Ventolin. The doctor say i don't have to take ventolin beacause Fomertrol+budesonide and Motelukast+LC. will prevent the difficulty. But only medicines which seems to be working is Ventolin and Motelukast+LC.
Avatar f tn I've recently been diagnosed with asthma and was prescribed ventolin and budesonide inhalers. After a few days of suffering side effects and getting much worse I went back to the doctor and he confirmed that I am allergic to budesonide, which he said is quite unusual. He prescribed me atrovent but from what I understand it is usually a substitute for ventolin not steroids.
17080824 tn?1453552185 If your symptoms began after your started Budesonide, is worse after you use it then that may be a cause as its a steroid and some people have strange reactions to steroids. However if you had the symptoms before you started the medication its not likely a cause.
Avatar n tn Over that period I have tried different combinations of Prednisolone, Budesonide, Salazopyrin, Singulair and Colpermin, all with limited success. Presently, I am taking Budesonide (9mg daily) and Salazopyrin (150mg daily). Whilst this allows me to function normally (i.e. normal bowel movements) I have discomfort, bloating and cramping all day, every day. Has anybody ever come through this disease to lead a normal life, or has anyone treated a patient that has done so?
Avatar f tn I have been having symptoms of a Crohn's flare, severe nausea, loss of appetite, weight loss of 18 lbs in last 6 weeks, steatorrhea, pain in mid chest and right upper quadrant. Had CT scan 2 weeks ago which showed significant inflammation in terminal ileum and old pancreatitis with calcification. Gastroscopy last week showed oesphagitis.Biopsies taken. MRI scan Nov 2007 showed two strictures in small intestine.
Avatar f tn I had a month or so on Entecort (budesonide here in England) but had a severe rectal haemorrhage and was hospitalised on IV steroids and needed blood transfusions. I don't think my gastro in England, who prescribed it, at the time realised that Entecort only works in the small intestine, and I had Pan Crohn's Colitis. As I had stopped prednisone to go onto budesonide, I had no protection in the colon, hence the flare.
Avatar f tn Little is known about the long-term efficacy of inhaled corticosteroids in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). We investigated the efficacy of inhaled budesonide on decline in lung function and respiratory symptoms in a 3-year placebo-controlled study of patients with COPD...... Inhaled budesonide was of no clinical benefit in COPD patients recruited from the general population by screening.
Avatar m tn Hi granma, Your cat may also need some medication for her IBS. My cat takes Budesonide in liquid form everyday. She has the other problem of constipation, but I give her miralax. Ask your vet if the Budesonide would be indicated for this condition...I think she sounds like it is pancreatitis or Irritable Bowel. Fairly common in cats. My cat is also on Hills Z/D food only. I know some do not favor this food but it works for my cat along with the Busesonide....so I am a believer.
Avatar m tn The infection always returns once the prescription ended. My symptoms start with front and post nasal drip which is a reddish color, and sinus pressure. Later I have upper chest infection, wheezing, and when the buildup in my chest gets bad enough, major breathing problems (especially when trying to sleep), and spasmodic coughing to the point of unconsciousness at times. I lost my job and my medical coverage and have been taking Prednisone, 15mg per day, as a stop gap.
Avatar f tn I know someone may say that water and lack of activity may be the cause, but they have never ever been before. Does anyone think that withdrawal from that much Biotin could be the cause of my anxiety because there is no other link between the anxiety I had three years ago and what is happening now?
Avatar n tn The treatments of which has been the use of Flovent and an elemental diet (Elecare) have not been working. Her symptoms are immediate regurgetation or vomiting of EVERYTHING SHE EATS OR DRINKS. Water, vitamins, anything that goes in comes right back out. She has lost amlost 30 lbs but is somehow remaining steady for about a month now, thank God. We were wondering if this is hapening or has hapened to anyone else out there, what were they diagnosed with, and what they did to stop these symptoms.
Avatar n tn I have a dog with IBD and he takes a compounded steroid called Budesonide everyday plus an enzyme supplement called Prozyme and stays on a strict diet of a fish and pot dry kibble. He still flares up every few months with bloody diarrhea which then we start up sulfasalazine 3 times a day which usually calms things down within a few days and after a week or 2 he's back on track.
Avatar m tn 5 mg per day - supplemented by ceretide(similar to advair) 500 - 2 puffs in the morn and 1 at night - and budesonide 160 micrograms - 2 puffs once a day. The thing with oral steroids is that the get absorbed in the body and have been adversely affecting me. I need to get off it, but every time I try to reduce the dosage my asthma tends to get worse. Can anyone offer me any advice regarding this matter?
Avatar n tn I still suffer episodes of coughing which usually last a few hours, I usually cough up a very small amount of clear sputum but my chest often feels like it is congested and I still have a rattle in one lung, I also feel short of breath on occassions. My doctor recently prescribed me cymbicort, does this mean I have athsma? Could my symptoms be athsma and if so what tests should I ask my doctor in order to diagnose me.
Avatar f tn My boyfriend is on day 6 of taking no pain killers. He has been on it for years after a shoulder surgery. He has all the symptoms of withdrawal that I have read about. He hasn't told the doctor that he is addicted. Out of all the withdrawal symptoms the sleepless nights is what he can't handle. So he asked for sleeping pills. I first thought it was good idea because all of this is foreign to me but now I think it's a bad idea.
