symbicort

Avatar n tn I am regularly using Ventloin, Fomertrol+budesonide and Motelukast+LC. The only problem is breathlessness arising from throat tightness. I never wheeze in the life. The throat tightness is getting reduced when i take Ventolin. The doctor say i don't have to take ventolin beacause Fomertrol+budesonide and Motelukast+LC. will prevent the difficulty. But only medicines which seems to be working is Ventolin and Motelukast+LC.
Avatar f tn I had a month or so on Entecort (budesonide here in England) but had a severe rectal haemorrhage and was hospitalised on IV steroids and needed blood transfusions. I don't think my gastro in England, who prescribed it, at the time realised that Entecort only works in the small intestine, and I had Pan Crohn's Colitis. As I had stopped prednisone to go onto budesonide, I had no protection in the colon, hence the flare.
Avatar f tn I've recently been diagnosed with asthma and was prescribed ventolin and budesonide inhalers. After a few days of suffering side effects and getting much worse I went back to the doctor and he confirmed that I am allergic to budesonide, which he said is quite unusual. He prescribed me atrovent but from what I understand it is usually a substitute for ventolin not steroids.
Avatar f tn Budesonide is the generic name, i am on Entocort with contains budesonide, because budesonide is not sold generically in the state of new jersey. I have been on it for about 3 months now, but I was also on it for quite awhile a few years ago. I have never had anything but success with it. there are no side effects. I will be on it for another 2 months and my dr plans to take me off of it.
Avatar n tn Over that period I have tried different combinations of Prednisolone, Budesonide, Salazopyrin, Singulair and Colpermin, all with limited success. Presently, I am taking Budesonide (9mg daily) and Salazopyrin (150mg daily). Whilst this allows me to function normally (i.e. normal bowel movements) I have discomfort, bloating and cramping all day, every day. Has anybody ever come through this disease to lead a normal life, or has anyone treated a patient that has done so?
17080824 tn?1453552185 t take any form of drugs. and do not smoke, do not drink and I am a vegetarian. Yes I am inhaling Budesonide Powder to tackle with chronic cough issue. Is it the reason then ? Thank you doctor for your reply and suggestion.
Avatar f tn Little is known about the long-term efficacy of inhaled corticosteroids in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). We investigated the efficacy of inhaled budesonide on decline in lung function and respiratory symptoms in a 3-year placebo-controlled study of patients with COPD...... Inhaled budesonide was of no clinical benefit in COPD patients recruited from the general population by screening.
Avatar f tn A family friend (who gave birth 35yrs ago) said that before she delivered she received an enema. Do they still do this?? She also told me morning sickness starts in the second trimester and i definitely know that is wrong lol.
Avatar f tn My mom told me that in the hospitals Some of them give you Enemas and I really don't want one!! Unless I for some reason need one, but she also said they do it as a precaution so the baby doesn't swallow or breath in BM. I'm all for it if it Needs to be done for her safety but I'm not sure about it.. Any stories or advise.
Avatar f tn Has anyone had to use a enema or went to the er and had one done? Should i try it myself or go to er? Does it hurt? What should i expect? Im really nerves and kinda scared :( never had any of these prob. Be4 and this is all new to me..
Avatar n tn No enema Self-administered or given by nurse If constipated at onset of labor To start or stimulate labor At times, enemas have been able to start contractions. Doctors or Midwives might want an enema performed to help stimulate or speed labor. The decision of whether you will or will not need an enema should be discussed with your doctor or midwife during one of your prenatal appointments.
Avatar n tn I have a dog with IBD and he takes a compounded steroid called Budesonide everyday plus an enzyme supplement called Prozyme and stays on a strict diet of a fish and pot dry kibble. He still flares up every few months with bloody diarrhea which then we start up sulfasalazine 3 times a day which usually calms things down within a few days and after a week or 2 he's back on track.
Avatar n tn He has been on budesonide for 4 weeks with no results. He also takes esomeprazole with no results. When she did the cameraoscopy she saw what she called white fuzz at the beginning of lower intestines. We did a round of fungal meds. No results. Can anyone help please.
Avatar m tn Hi granma, Your cat may also need some medication for her IBS. My cat takes Budesonide in liquid form everyday. She has the other problem of constipation, but I give her miralax. Ask your vet if the Budesonide would be indicated for this condition...I think she sounds like it is pancreatitis or Irritable Bowel. Fairly common in cats. My cat is also on Hills Z/D food only. I know some do not favor this food but it works for my cat along with the Busesonide....so I am a believer.
Avatar f tn s enema or a warm water enema which can be found at any drug store. That will work in about 5 minutes. A Fleet's enema will probably work better but it is more painful. A warm water enema is just putting some warm water in an enema bottle which isn't as painful but might not work as well.
519736 tn?1253986826 since the enema did not work your kitty is feeling very uncomfortable right now, I am glad she is going BACK to see this Vet asap....there could be a bowel blockage, did they do an xray before the enema?
Avatar m tn 5 mg per day - supplemented by ceretide(similar to advair) 500 - 2 puffs in the morn and 1 at night - and budesonide 160 micrograms - 2 puffs once a day. The thing with oral steroids is that the get absorbed in the body and have been adversely affecting me. I need to get off it, but every time I try to reduce the dosage my asthma tends to get worse. Can anyone offer me any advice regarding this matter?
Avatar f tn I did a little research and found that mineral oil enemas do not apear to be toxic to cats. BUT...there is an enema out there (phosphate enema) that is very toxic to cats. I think some of the confusion comes from the fact that a brand name enema (Fleet) makes both mineral oil enemas and phosphate enemas. Hope that helps!
Avatar f tn and what I mean about enema is it possible to increase the risk of pseudomembranous collitis when we use enema for a patient taking antibiotics as this enema will clean the colon and may help to kill the normal flora easier??!!
Avatar m tn Can pulps be detected with this B. Enema and if found how will they be removed? Will this B. Enema replace the colonoscopy in my future screenings? If no pulps were found up to the hepatic flexture, why do I need to proceed with this recommendation of the P. Enema?
Avatar f tn My parents and I have been doing it over the past few months. We boil coffee to do enema with enema buckets that we have already. The reason I started doing it is because of constant fatigue, always feeling tired and of course, my bowel movements are not so constant. After the first time doing, I felt some improvement. After each time I do enema I feel better and better. Until the last few times I did I start to have this pain I mentioned, which worries me.
