Avatar n tn I have had 5 back surgeries and have rods from L-2 to S-1, I am on alot of medicine because of this. For my lungs I take brovana, budesonide, and mucomyst in my nebulizer, spiriva, predisone, and pro air inhaler. The doctor had me start taking prilosec 2 x a day for a month to see if it helps with my acid problem which can effect the lungs. Thank You for any help you can give me!
7052683 tn?1392938795 I am about to just stop everything and let her just live her life with her favorite foods, no meds, and hope for the best . It is wearing us both out. All I want is her to be happy and not have to eat z/d and fight with her every day with meds. Am I a horrible mom????? Really?
Avatar n tn I am regularly using Ventloin, Fomertrol+budesonide and Motelukast+LC. The only problem is breathlessness arising from throat tightness. I never wheeze in the life. The throat tightness is getting reduced when i take Ventolin. The doctor say i don't have to take ventolin beacause Fomertrol+budesonide and Motelukast+LC. will prevent the difficulty. But only medicines which seems to be working is Ventolin and Motelukast+LC.
Avatar f tn I had a month or so on Entecort (budesonide here in England) but had a severe rectal haemorrhage and was hospitalised on IV steroids and needed blood transfusions. I don't think my gastro in England, who prescribed it, at the time realised that Entecort only works in the small intestine, and I had Pan Crohn's Colitis. As I had stopped prednisone to go onto budesonide, I had no protection in the colon, hence the flare.
Avatar n tn Does Symbicort 80/4.5 (budesonide 80 mcg and formoterol fumarate dihydrate 4.5 mcg) Inhalation Aerosol effect the eyes? Does it raise the interocular pressure if used with known glaucoma? Avatar f tn I've recently been diagnosed with asthma and was prescribed ventolin and budesonide inhalers. After a few days of suffering side effects and getting much worse I went back to the doctor and he confirmed that I am allergic to budesonide, which he said is quite unusual. He prescribed me atrovent but from what I understand it is usually a substitute for ventolin not steroids.
Avatar m tn ve had only one head ache in six months due to not taking the Budesonide for a few days. i can breath and smell and am doing so great now. I hope my experience can help you.
Avatar n tn Over that period I have tried different combinations of Prednisolone, Budesonide, Salazopyrin, Singulair and Colpermin, all with limited success. Presently, I am taking Budesonide (9mg daily) and Salazopyrin (150mg daily). Whilst this allows me to function normally (i.e. normal bowel movements) I have discomfort, bloating and cramping all day, every day. Has anybody ever come through this disease to lead a normal life, or has anyone treated a patient that has done so?

Avatar n tn I have a dog with IBD and he takes a compounded steroid called Budesonide everyday plus an enzyme supplement called Prozyme and stays on a strict diet of a fish and pot dry kibble. He still flares up every few months with bloody diarrhea which then we start up sulfasalazine 3 times a day which usually calms things down within a few days and after a week or 2 he's back on track.
Avatar m tn Hi, my daughter brought home a 6yr old cat 8months ago w/ stomach and intestinal issues. She suffers with gas/diarrhea/ throwing up. My daughter has taken this cat 3 times to the vet-nothing! I have tried many kinds of grain free and sensitive stomachs foods. Some of which were very expensive. We have 2 other cats with no issues. I can't keep changing foods all the time. Help! I am tired of cleaning up after her. Is there a cat antacid?
Avatar f tn There is general agreement in the medical community that it is safe to take loratidin or budesonide. The question of safety of Spiramycin has not been determined with certainty. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has categorized the relative safety (of the fetus) of drug taken during pregnancy as follows. To my knowledge, Spiramycin has not been categorized by the FDA but other similar drugs in the same category are usually placed in Category C.
Avatar m tn 5 mg per day - supplemented by ceretide(similar to advair) 500 - 2 puffs in the morn and 1 at night - and budesonide 160 micrograms - 2 puffs once a day. The thing with oral steroids is that the get absorbed in the body and have been adversely affecting me. I need to get off it, but every time I try to reduce the dosage my asthma tends to get worse. Can anyone offer me any advice regarding this matter?
Avatar f tn Hello and thank you for sites like this. It's amazing the service you offer. I recently had sex with a sex worker. It was Protected sex which I realise means low risk of exposure. After 30 days I had a 4th gen test done which has come back negative. My question relates to medication i'm taking for ulcerative colitis. I'm currently taking budesonide steroids 6mg daily and mercaptopurine 75mg daily. Can either of these affect the outcome of my HIV results?
Avatar n tn I suspect some kind of inflammation, but the doctor denied it, so hope an expert and take a look and help me! pictures : https://imgur.

Avatar f tn My MS Lifelines nurse came out, to see if I had enough fat to use the new Rebidose injector. I weigh 74#s, and the injector is set at 2, whereas I was set at 1 with the pen. And she said not one of her patients have had diarrhea while on Rebif. My Medco pharmacist looked it up, and she said 16% of patients that use Rebif, have diarrhea. So, I'd like some thoughts.
Avatar f tn My 3 year old daughter gets bad colds with coughing and slight weezing atleast 3 or 4 times out of the year. Her doctor has always perscribed albuterol and budesonide through a nebulizer. This time around when I took her he added Singulair and Prednisolone. He hasn't actually diagnosed her with asthma but her father and uncle both have it. Could she be getting it also and what kind of test should she get to see if she has asthma. Any suggestions would really help.
Avatar m tn What medicines have you or your children been on for this? My 3 year old son was just diagnosed with EE this past August, and he's been using Flovent 1 puff twice a day since then. The last month or two I've noticed that he has been extremely aggressive, agitated, and just plain mean and disrespectful. I am 100% sure it is due to the Flovent. Is there an alternative I should be asking for? Will all of the EE medicines give his just such a reaction since they are all going to be steroids?
Avatar m tn t really make a diagnosis and prescribed me with some sort of nasal spray, insisted that I take anti-histamine to rule out allergies, and also prescribed me Symbicort, Budesonide/formoterol. After 10 days treatment, the breathing issues became agitated. The last doctor suggested referral to a specialist, I'm not entirely sure of which one, something to do with throat and breathing.
Avatar n tn I am also still coughing a bit (producing a little mucus), and feel short of breath, but my lung function is at 92% and I have optimal peak flow (475). I’ve cut back my meds to 220mg flovent twice a day, and albuterol when necessary. 1.Could the illness in conjunction with the bad air done damage to my bronchi, and if so, is it recoverable? 2.Could all this treatment have put my lungs and bronchi in a state of persistent irritation? 3.Could this be COPD?
