I experienced side effects while I was on it and withdrawal symptoms that lasted for 6 months. My side effects/withdrawal symptoms included: brain zaps, extreme sweating, dizziness, dry mouth, fatigue, major headaches, nervousness, vertigo, and confusion. When I started taking it, I lost 20 pounds in 2 weeks! I was wanting to lose weight, but in a healthy way. My advice to you is get off of it asap.
Are there any antidepressants that will make me more alert rather than sleepy and tired? This has been my experience with all the drugs I've tried so far. Budeprion being the last one and the worse cause it makes me so sleepy and lethargic, yeah too often I find myself sitting there as if lifeless, staring into space, feeling like a rock with no feelings or emotions...Are there any drugs that will give me more pep and energy instead of making me just wanna stay in bed all day?
I have been on sr 150 for two months now and just switched to xl 300 as the sr was not doing anything for me. Should I be expecting a change for the better or are they the same?
Thank you for replying to my question. I don't think it's malabsorbtion. The leaflet says the pill will pass in your stools, but the venlafaxine will have come out of the tablet.
I am now on the soft gel capsules and guess I am back at waiting for 4-6 weeks for them to work as this is what I have been they will take 4 - 6 weeks to work.

After 10 years of use, I have weaned myself off of Paroxtetine and Wellbutrin XL. It took 2 months with the aid of St.John's Wort. Now I have ceased that usage. The downside to this is my sleep cycle is totally screwed up. I an waking at 3-4 am everyday and am unable to sleep during an afternoon nap.
Will a more suitable sleep pattern ensue?

I am currently taking 400mg XL of Wellbutrin, one upon rising and one 3-4 hours later and then at night I take 50mg Zoloft. I would like ot have a weaning off of the wellbutrin schedule and eventually the zoloftor both at the same time if possible. They seem to help for awhile and then not anymore and I can't afford to keep paying for them.
Because you could also be suffering withdrawal symptoms from quitting the Lexapro.
Her medication has recently been switched from Cymbalta to Budeprion XL 150 MG which is generic for Wellbutrin XL. I am a 37 year old male and have been taking 300 mg/day Wellbutrin XL and 10 mg/day Lexapro since experiencing a severe depression episode in September 2005. To get about the same result you had with Nefazodone with no weight gain I would recommend sertraline (Zoloft) combined with Wellbutrin XL. To get a significant antagonizing effect to your 5-HT2 receptors you would need mirtazapine but it is related with weight gain so I would try the Zoloft with Wellbutrin XL which will basically in a SNDRI like Nefazodone and see how it goes.
I have just begun taking Budeprion SR. 150 milligrams a day. The paper the pharmacy gave me said to contact a dr immediately if I got a sore throat. I have a sore throat, and I want to know if I need to stop taking the medication. On another website, throat irriatation is listed as a rare side effect. I called my dr, and the nurse looked it up and said that sore throat was listed as a side effect. So, I am confused. Should I stop taking the medication? Is this a dangerous side effect?
I have stopped the clonazepam when I started getting kidney pain and decided to get on Budeprion XL thinking that this might all be mental. I think there is something wrong but all the test show normal. Should I see a Urologist for more tests, or will this eventually go away with massive amounts of water? The muscle twinging is annoying. I am beyond frustrated and want to get back to my running without getting massive dry mouth afterward.

What is frightening to me are the following two things:
1. I am a very high functioning person. It took me seven days to follow my gut, stick to my guns and demand replacement pills. What would have happened to a less confident or less functional person?
2. The withdrawals are horrible! I now have a deeper understanding of why a drug addict would stay a drug addict.
Can Wellbutrin XL have a different affect the second time you take it? I was on it for about a year 3 years ago. I loved it! The only side effects were dry mouth and weight loss(not a negative). About 5 months ago my doctor put me on citalopram which made me feel like a zombie and I started gaining weight so we decided to switch to the wellbutrin. I have been on the wellbutrin for about 7 weeks now and off the citalopram for a little over 1 week.
I have been on a 300 mg dose of Bupropion XL for about a half year now. I also am on a 100 dose of Zoloft. I was originally on only Zoloft but it wasn't working well so I got put on Bupropion XL which worked. I take Trazidone when needed for my sleeping issues. I never had any side affects from it until recently. I've noticed that in the past month I would get nausea after I take Bupropion, as well as feeling jittery and tense.
If so, have you felt any withdrawal symptoms, like elevated blodd pressure or heart rate, maybe anxiety? Thank you!
t take long for my doc to confirm my ADD-PI and he prescribed Aderral 10 mg to take once a day along with Wellbutrin XL 150. He said I might need a higher dose or switch to the XR later.
Has anyone tried both at the same time? I got the generic version of Aderral and surprised how cheap it was. Should this be taken every day or only when I have lots to do and need to concentrate?

Sounds like it's mostly the withdrawal from the Paxil. Going on and coming off Paxil are always really horrible. Symptoms will subside once your Seretonin starts firing normally again.
You may want to start taking 5HTP to help with the withdrawal. You can buy this product at any drugstore or even walmart. It really does work to increase seretonin.
