budeprion xl with alcohol

Can you please tell me if Wellbutrin XL will help with anxiety issues. Or can the medication Cymbalta be of better use?

Budeprion XL is giving me extreme anxiety and racing heart. Have been on it for about a month.i am also on Escitraprolam. How can I taper off the budeprion XL. Was thinking of starting by 1 every other day for a while, then every third day and so on.

I feel wonderful on budeprion, better than I did on the Watson generic buproprion. Don't let your head be filled with negativity before you start. This teva budeprion generic helped me sooooo much. I felt euphoric the first few days and then just better more able to deal with life.

Her medication has recently been switched from Cymbalta to Budeprion XL 150 MG which is generic for Wellbutrin XL. She tried to kill herself a month ago after breaking up with her boyfriend and last week she made another attempt after he royally screwed up and made her think they were getting back together. She's been in counseling but today her doctor said she should see a psychiatrist. She's slept most of the day but now she's up and crying.

Are there any antidepressants that will make me more alert rather than sleepy and tired? This has been my experience with all the drugs I've tried so far. Budeprion being the last one and the worse cause it makes me so sleepy and lethargic, yeah too often I find myself sitting there as if lifeless, staring into space, feeling like a rock with no feelings or emotions...Are there any drugs that will give me more pep and energy instead of making me just wanna stay in bed all day?

It may take time for the drugs to take effect. However drinking is probably not helping as the drug will have a reaction with the alcohol. Good luck!

I have just begun taking Budeprion SR. 150 milligrams a day. The paper the pharmacy gave me said to contact a dr immediately if I got a sore throat. I have a sore throat, and I want to know if I need to stop taking the medication. On another website, throat irriatation is listed as a rare side effect. I called my dr, and the nurse looked it up and said that sore throat was listed as a side effect. So, I am confused. Should I stop taking the medication? Is this a dangerous side effect?

I would strongly suggest you try going to AA (Alcoholics Anonymous). Getting with a good group is the best method to learn to stop drinking. Alcohol will make depression and anxiety worse and AA will help you get drinking behind you with all the support you need. Good luck.

I have stopped the clonazepam when I started getting kidney pain and decided to get on Budeprion XL thinking that this might all be mental. I think there is something wrong but all the test show normal. Should I see a Urologist for more tests, or will this eventually go away with massive amounts of water? The muscle twinging is annoying. I am beyond frustrated and want to get back to my running without getting massive dry mouth afterward.

My mother sends me my old prescriptions from the states, I am currently taking minocycline and budeprion xl, and last year, I had a kidney infection due to serious dehydration from anorexia. Well, alcohol, elevates cholesterol levels, especially in that it ends up getting stored as sterol fats in the liver,; causing over time a fatty liver, and cirrhosis. My suggestion would be that since statins, and blood pressure medications are processed by and subsequently tax the liver;is to consider in a more direct way that alcohol poisons the liver and makes it fatty.

First off... Hi everyone and thanks for making such a great site! My aunt's doctor gave her Budeprion SR 150 mg to help quit smoking. A friend of her's told her that you're not supposed to take it, if you take any medications for diabetes. She does take a pill (not sure which and didn't think to ask her) for her diabetes and I told her I'd try to find out if it could cause any problems.

you need to lay off the coffee, tea, chocoate and sugars but especially anything with caffine or alcohol in it... both will really speed up your heart rate.. and hopefully your not drinking any of those energy drinks //they will destroy your heart....I was a banker almost 40 years.. had high bp and atril fibrillation... got the afib fixed 3 years ago with a heart ablation... doing fine.... my advise would be to take care of your ticker problems now and not ignore them....

so i just started taking welbutrin XL because me boyfriend of 3 years we just broke up and we are both moving out of our home and going our own ways. we have only been broken up for 1 month and he already has a girlfriend. so ive been really depressed and upset. and my stomach has started to hurt really bad to the point where somtimes i cant do anything. and i dont know if the welbutrin XL will help me not be so stressed out or if i should go to my doctor and try to find another way to help me.

I say why take a chance with the alcohol. Is it really worth it? I used to have a drink occasionally while on Topral XL and an anti-arrhythmic for a-fib. Lots of times I didn't have a problem but over the years I realized that I would just as likely as not have an a-fib episode directly after having a sip of wine or a beer. You are on medication for a reason. Why tempt fate?

Just wondering, because I know that Lipitor works with the liver and can cause issues when combined with alcohol. You should probably get a blood workup though.

Am on Budeprion since April 1, 2013 because I had 2 deaths in my family and I was down so I went to the doctor and she put me on that am doing fine now but I today I just feel down and I was thinking about stopping the medication, I don't know if that causing me to feel down or what, and am not depressed I wasn't on the medication for depressed so is it ok to start to stop it or what?

It seems kind of odd that you doctor won't prescribe you Wellbutrin XL if there's a chhance that it could help with your depression. I took it for a while but I also have alot of problems with anxiety and the Wellbutrin seemed to make that worse. I had to take Calonapin with the Wellbutrin so I didn't have an anxiety attack. Try to talk to your doctor again or maybe consult another doctor. I"m sorry to hear about the side effects of the Zoloft.
