Her medication has recently been switched from Cymbalta to Budeprion XL 150 MG which is generic for Wellbutrin XL. She tried to kill herself a month ago after breaking up with her boyfriend and last week she made another attempt after he royally screwed up and made her think they were getting back together. She's been in counseling but today her doctor said she should see a psychiatrist. She's slept most of the day but now she's up and crying.
Are there any antidepressants that will make me more alert rather than sleepy and tired? This has been my experience with all the drugs I've tried so far. Budeprion being the last one and the worse cause it makes me so sleepy and lethargic, yeah too often I find myself sitting there as if lifeless, staring into space, feeling like a rock with no feelings or emotions...Are there any drugs that will give me more pep and energy instead of making me just wanna stay in bed all day?
Well, sometimes it's not a bad idea to get a new look on things by seeing a different psychiatrist. I don't know how far into your education you are, but if it's early in your college stay you're going to need help from time to time. If you're adamant about not seeing another shrink, try setting up a telephone appointment with you doc at home. There could be several things happening. It could be the drugs just aren't working as well anymore.
I was very recently prescribed Wellbutrin XL, after trying several medications that have not helped [including Wellbutrin SR]. When I saw my doctor, she simply said 'I'm putting you on Wellbutrin twice daily' and I assumed it would be the SR. But what I was given was XL, with the instructions to take it twice a day [morning and around noon]. My doctor's office is closed today, or I would have asked her. I did ask the pharmacist, and he said that yes, this is okay.
My dr, said she looked it up in her book, and Wellbutrin XL 150mg, is only prescribed for SAD and to quit smoking. She did not want to prescribe the XL at all no mater what I said. She prescribed me Regular Wellbutrin 100mg twice per day. I do not want the regular wellbutrin as it will make me shakey, and I will not follow through with taking 2 pills per day...
The first couple weeks my wife and I both noticed a big improvement with my symptom of ADD. Than all of a sudden it stopped working. I told my doctor, he changed it to Bupropion 300mg XL. Its been a week and a half since its been changed and no improvement. What happened to make it quit working? Will it start if I give it some more time?
Exercising is great for you, pregnant or not! If you were working out before pregnancy, it is generally fine to work out once pregnant unless you have a complication or at the end where the exertion might bring on labor. It might not be the ideal time to take up an intense work out routine if you never had one before . . . but if you're fit and used to it, it is great to keep doing it. More power to you.
I have just begun taking Budeprion SR. 150 milligrams a day. The paper the pharmacy gave me said to contact a dr immediately if I got a sore throat. I have a sore throat, and I want to know if I need to stop taking the medication. On another website, throat irriatation is listed as a rare side effect. I called my dr, and the nurse looked it up and said that sore throat was listed as a side effect. So, I am confused. Should I stop taking the medication? Is this a dangerous side effect?

They don't always, but they often do. My advice is to get a different psychiatrist before making any new moves. GPs just don't get the same amount of study of this stuff as psychiatrists do, and although some do fine with them, when you have a complicated case like yours I'd see the specialist, not the generalist. I would also be very suspicious of a doctor who just didn't like a particular drug. Why? Seroquel doesn't do what clonazepam does, at all.
I have stopped the clonazepam when I started getting kidney pain and decided to get on Budeprion XL thinking that this might all be mental. I think there is something wrong but all the test show normal. Should I see a Urologist for more tests, or will this eventually go away with massive amounts of water? The muscle twinging is annoying. I am beyond frustrated and want to get back to my running without getting massive dry mouth afterward.
Wellbutrin 150 mg xl worked great for me while quitting smoking. Today I am tapering off the wellbutrin and I have 60 quit days from the cigs. I also lost 8 lbs in 2 months, however not sure if it was the xl or sr or even the current 75 mg hcl that I'm currently on now.
My doctor started me on Wellbutrin XL 150mg and I felt great the first couple of days, however I now get very depressed in the afternoons, dwelling on the past - how I could have done things better and how messed up my life is now, the doc wants to increase the dose to 300mg but these pills are expensive!! 6 months ago I started having high BP. Long storie short I was put on procardia xl. Started at 60mg then the Dr. rased it to 120 mg. Was working fine for about 2 months. Then I started having a racing heart high pules in the 100s. Went to the ER. And they droped my dose to 90mg. I noticed I have been getting a lot of heart burn. And gas in my chest after I take these pills. Mood swings High pulse. I have complained to the Drs. But they told me to keep taking it.
m @210 (still overweight) and on low dosages of Lisinopril (10mg), Toprol XL (25mg), and a diuretic (37.5). Over the past 4 weeks, I've experienced some morning sluggishness and ED. It's not a sudden onset; I've been very cold some nights at bedtime, had sporatic ED... and I walk 5 miles a day four or more times a week... so up to now, no one has been surprised about a pulse of 60. Only now my pulse is often @ 50 and occasionally in the mid to upper 40's.
I spent 6 years taking Toprol XL, 100mg once a day. Started working with a trainer about 4 months ago and after two months they cut me down to 75mg when my pulse started dropping into the low 50's from the 70's. I was told to stop taking it immediately by two different cardiologists after suffering a fainting issue and visiting the er. It has been about 6 days since I stopped taking Toprol XL. Pulse is still in the 40's, bp fluctuates from 90/40 to about 105/55.
