1064785 tn?1406638398 Please know it is kind of overly-cautious, but at least you can see why somethings are worse for you than others and what the ingredients are that shoud be avoided. Hope this helps! Congrats on your tww! Stick and grow baby!
Avatar f tn I’ve been using prescription strength differin gel for acne for many years, and would like to add a retinol moisturizer to my skincare routine for anti-aging benefits. Would like to know if the combination is safe?
Avatar n tn Try using t gel by neutrogena, that does sound like psorosis. T gel is very helpful, and it's not expensive I use it because I get acne on my scalp from using hair spray And it works wonders even though it is made for psorosis. It's main ingredient is coal tar so it doesn't smell pleasant but it's worth a try. Also if you had lice you'd see it crawling.
341551 tn?1266980730 I've pretty much told everyone on here that my acne is bad and only getting worse!! It seems to be only on my forehead with minimal breakouts on my chin and cheeks. But its horrible!! I've never had bad skin so I don't really know what to do. I wash my face twice a day, use moisturizer and that doesn't seem to help. A couple people suggested Proactiv...saying that within a couple treatments it took care of their acne for the longest time..but they don't know I'm Pregnant.
Avatar f tn You should try some aloe vera gel it is good for skin irritations. When I was younger and experimented with acne medications a lot of them made my face a lot more red and it looked like a burn too, after a couple of days and lots of tears, it would go away.
Avatar n tn The gel is more effective since it stays on your skin and penetrates better than the wash. I wouldn't recommend using them both unless your acne is severe, it may causes excessively dry skin or irritation.
Avatar f tn I was using to murad acne exfoliating gel and mederma skin care gel for that scars. Is it safe to continue using it? Please help!
Avatar f tn If you are having inflammatory acne then tetracycline or doxycycline or minocycline; benzoyl peroxide 5% gel; azelaic acid 20% cream; clindamycin 1% lotion or cream; erythromycin 2% gel or cream. If you are having recalcitrant acne in women then probably oral contraceptive containing norgestimate 0.25 mg and ethinyl estradiol 0.035 mg; spironolactone; prednisone. If you have acne where sweating is an aggravating factor then aluminum chloride solution should be your choice of your treatment.
1364054 tn?1346005167 My cycles are irregular, but I visited gynaecologist and she said everything is ok. My dermatologist gave me for therapy Sona gel by night, during the day Klindamicin gel/ 3 weeks and then neutral creams, Hiramycin caps a 100mg 2x1/7days, then 1x1/2weeks, and UV protection. What do You think about it? My problem started when I heard that Klindamicin gel can´t be bought in my country. Do You know any good replacement for that medication? If not can I use only Sona gel and pills?
Avatar n tn Initially you can try Tretinoin cream 0.025%, tazarotene 0.1%; adapalene 0.1% gel; benzoyl peroxide 5% gel; azelaic acid 20% cream; salicylic acid 1–2% cream or gel; alpha hydroxy acid preparation; trichloroacetic acid 10–20% peel. You can visit a Dermatologist as to which treatment is suitable for you. Keep me informed if you have any queries. Bye.
Avatar m tn You can also treat flaking and dryness with over-the-counter dandruff or medicated shampoos. Shampoo the hair vigorously and frequently (preferably daily). Active ingredients in these shampoos include salicylic acid, coal tar, zinc, resorcin, ketoconazole, or selenium. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
Avatar f tn by means of counting the total number of acne lesions and also by rating acne severity on a standardized index. The results showed that tea tree oil gel was significantly more effective than placebo at reducing both the number of acne lesions and their severity. Niacinamide In a double-blind trial, 76 individuals with moderately severe acne were treated with either 4% niacinamide gel or 1% clindamycin gel (a standard antibiotic treatment).

Avatar f tn Fearing that those would leave me marks I went to dermatologist and was prescribed acne clear gel, hidrate lotion and adaferin gel. I have been using acne gel and hidrate lotion from one month my acne settled well. But from last 3 days I am getting very bad white flakes on face. My face is tight and some time applying lotion burns my face. White flakes have appeared first time on my face. I am very scared does this resembles dermatitis? I also have little bit itching on face.
Avatar m tn 1. When applying Duac once daily gel I wash my hands with hand wash and then just wash my face with water before applying the gel, what cleansing routine should I be using to improve my acne? Should I be using some sort of soap when washing my face? 2.
Avatar n tn Refrain from unnecessarily touching the face. Wash your hands frequently. Acne medications in gel form may be beneficial in your case especially if you have oily skin. Only apply locally over the area.
554628 tn?1362777919 Well everytime i get pregnant i sweat my face turns into a road map of acne bumps i VERY RARELY get a break out usually but both of my pregnancies i've had the morst horrible acne ever most of it is on my chin and sides of my face, is this normal and does ne one know if it's safe to use proactive while pregnant i'm desperate to get rid of this acne it's driving me nuts i'm gonna have scars on my face if they don't go AWAY lol
Avatar n tn No the rash will not be permanent. Look at the ingredients of the coloring gel and in future when you buy one match the contents and see. You could be allergic to one or more components of the gel. There are many over the counter anti allergic medications like Claritin available which you can take. Hope this helps. It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
5958897 tn?1426798528 I use erythromycin topical gel prescribed by my dermatologist as well as Mario Badescu acne wash. Sort of helps.
Avatar f tn Ok so I have been prescribed differin gel for "acne" problems. I recently had a huge one with deep cyst (when i touch it i can feel hardness under the skin)...then it formed a white head and oozed a lot of pus (and some blood) after which it stopped being painful. My question is can I still keep on applying differin gel on top of the acne even though it's "broken" skin? The differin seems to help calm the inflammation pretty quick and dry it out...
Avatar f tn Hello, Blackhead is a yellowish or blackish bump or plug on the skin and is a type of acne vulgaris. It is caused by excess oils that have accumulated in the sebaceous gland's duct. Cleanse the area thoroughly and apply a good mild exfoliating scrub on that. Apply a medicated cream or gel containing resorcinol, salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. This helps is soaking the oil and helps in peeling away the blackheads.
