Avatar m tn I normally bleed while brushing my teeth; however, it is probably the first time i happens out of the blue. please let me know your thoughts. Any comment will help! thanks!
Avatar f tn I'm anemic and have low iron so my gums bleed just by touching them lightly with the toothbrush or even my finger.. they bleed a lot.During 10 and 11 weeks, brushing my teeth made me gag to the point where I couldn't stop so I eventually puked. If you have a gag reflex,it becomes extra sensitive while pregnant.
Avatar n tn This is a sign of gum disease. In order to get on top of this, brush twice daily, use interdental aids between the teeth such as floss and use a mouthwash at a seperate time to brushing. Don't let the blood put you off brushing, it is a sign that there is bacteria present and those bacteria need to be removed. Make sure when you brush that you brush for two minutes each time and that you brush in a circular motion right down to the gums, making sure to brush the gums as well.
Avatar f tn I'm 21+4 and my teeth hurt so bad and my gums .
7395901 tn?1390576733 I brush my teeth everyday. I never miss a day. Lately, I've been noticing lots of blood when I got to spit after I'm finished brushing. I've never had this problem before and it seems that its only getting worst. My gums aren't sore, they aren't red and they don't bleed unless its when I brush. I also use a soft bristle brush, so what could be the problem? Is it something to worry about?

1500294 tn?1290272209 Yes dogs can and often do -get gum disease. It does usually affect older dogs though. But it could be that you are brushing too hard? I don't know.
Avatar f tn Is it normal to bleed like murder (over exaggerating) while brushing ur teeth?? I know we produce more blood when we are pregnant but seriously?? Its crazy!
5924569 tn?1377745370 Mine bleed when I'm brushing my teeth too... They say its common in pregnancy!
Avatar n tn My gums have been bleeding after brushing and flossing for about 6 months, and its getting worse. I take excellent care of my teeth, and my dentist tells me after a recent visit that I have no signs of gingivitis or dental disease. I have minimal tartar, and I see a dentist regularly. At his request, I had a number of blood tests, all of which came back completely normal (CBC, INR, AST, White Blood Cell Differential). What Next? Are there other blood tests I should consider?
Avatar n tn You may be brushing your tongue too hard, or you gums could be bleeding. Sometimes if you dont floss enough the gums can bleed and you may not may not see exactly where the blood is coming from. Does your tongue burn or ache when you brush it. You may have something call geographic tongue. It happens when people are under stress. Not too many people have it but it does exist. It can cause your tongue to be more sensitive and bleed.
Avatar n tn I'm a 28 year old female and last week while I was brushing my teeth, i saw blood on my toothbrush and saw blood on my gums. Today i was sitting outside and tasted blood in my mouth and saw that my gums were bleeding near my molars. This has happened once before. Should I go tot he docotor or wait for it to happen again? I have a history of cancer and leukemia in my family, every web site I looked at said that it is a sign of leukemia. Should I be worried?
Avatar f tn Anybody else's gums bleed while brushing their teeth? I went to my dentist and she said it's just the pregnancy. It should go away after pregnancy. But it's so annoying and sometimes my gums are so sore!
Avatar m tn Hello Dr, I just noticed my gums bleed only during brushing. But bleeding stops immediately after brushing. I don't have bleeding gums always and my gums didn't bleed before i kissed the dancer. Is there any HIV exposure?. Please advise.
Avatar f tn You are not worrying to much-this is something you have to take care of ASAP. I've had gum surgery and my gums bleed daily (sometimes without brushing) and I'm going to make a dentist appointment tomorrow. I have a friend who had to remove all his teeth and get fake ones in....painful and expensive. the longer you wait-the more money you'll be dishing out. Get to a periodontist ASAP-at least that's my suggestion.
Avatar f tn I have a nodule on my gums. I had to get an antibacterial rinse from my dentist to keep it from getting infected. You might call your dentist and see if there is anything they recommend.
Avatar f tn Pregnancy hormones increase blood flow which can make your gums very sensitive & bleed. I have one specific spot on my gums that I need to be careful of when I'm brushing because it will just bleed like crazy. It will get better once your little one arrives.
Avatar f tn s blood supply increases to support baby and can occasionally over supply, causing gums to swell and bleed as well as nosebleeds. Even using a very soft bristled brush and brushing as gently as I can, my gums still bleed. Sometimes, I've even had them just randomly start bleeding on their own. It's not a huge deal and should go away after the pregnancy.
Avatar n tn First of all when I brush I do it softly but my gums always bleed and just brushing them in general makes me gag. So annoying. Anyone else experience this??
Avatar m tn if your gums are swollen and bleed yes you have gum disease.
Avatar f tn After brushing rinse with warm salt water.
5891248 tn?1406410864 Yes it's normal calcium may help but it is also do to an increase in blood flow some women even get bloody noses. Avatar m tn Have your parents addressed this with your doctor or dentist? If they are shiny red it could be gum disease that doesn't bleed while brushing. Your gums should be a coral pink. Talk to your parents, they may have addressed this when you were younger and found it was nothing, and therefore no reason to mention it to you. But I would think since you had braces, your orthodontist would have noticed them. But talk to your parents about it.
Avatar f tn I have def seen and improvement since using electric toothbrush, flossing etc but still seem to have redish gums which bleed every now and then. My gums have receeded and I want to try my best to keep my gums as health as possible. Can anyone help or give any advice?
