Last month I got a speck of red blood mixed with clear mucus about 3 days before my period. Then a peice of weird brown blood mucous string by itself. Then pink blood( discharge) never seen that before... the next day and it was light. Then my period started and was with dark brown blood and then red flow for two days and my period stopped for a whole day and then 2 days of brown spotting. ( never had brown spotting in my life.

I want to know what is a brown discharge. After 1 week of my period I am having this brown discharge. What is this? Is it possible that I am pregnant?

Brown discharge is old blood coming out and usually is at the beginning or end of a normal period. Have you had your periods for very long and how old are you? You may want to get on birth control to regulate your periods. I started my period when I was very young and was irregular for years before I got on birth control. It was the best decision I ever made. Not only did it regulate me but I would also know when I would have my period so I could plan activities around it.

brown discharge is just old blood that took a little longer to travel down. nearly everyone has it at some time. especially at the end of your period. if you think you may be pregnant take a test. try to eat light foods if your feeling unwell and stay away from greasey foods it will only make you feel worse. also many women get food cravings during or before a period its normal.

ok so. my period is always regular. i have the brown discharge then the red of my period and then brown again at the end of my period. but this month i could swear i got pregnante my stomach is getting bigger and its hard like the first time i was pregnante. about a couple of days after i thought this i started having this really dark brown dischagre its not a lot but enouf that i have to put a tampon in. im not suposed to start my period for another week.

Ive had heavy clotting periods, Ive had really thick brown discharge at the begining and end before, Ive had it so dark it almost looked black. And its all just variations in how your hormones influence your period. And with a change in your birth control schedule, that could be totally normal. I have that exact discharge that almost always lasts 2 days. If it is right at the end of your period, the most likely it is completely normal. But it's always good to double check with your ob/gyn to be safe.
