The brown stuff is old blood and it's very common the last day or two of your period.
It sounds like you do have a yeast infection. I'm not sure about it itching all the way towards your thighs/ I guess it is possible though.
Can you get in to see your Dr? There are over the counter meds for yeast infections but if you've never had one before or don't know for sure this is indeed what's going on then it's really best to see your Dr.
The day after taking she experienced a brown discharge she has never had before. Im worried I may have had something fromprevious encounters and may have passed to her. I am showing no symptoms whatsoever other than frequent urination. But I do drink over a gallon of water per day. Could i be looking to deep into this? Yeast infections or BV are not associated with brown discharge. Yeast infections do not have foul smells and although BV does, the discharge is usually yellowish in color. Since you are sexually active, you may have contracted an STD. The discharge you have described sounds a bit like HPV. You should really talk to your mother about this and see a doctor. She would want it that way. Remember, any foul smell in the vagina is never normal and is always a sign of infection.
I had brown discharge for 5 days before my last period...I had a normal period. It came when it was souppose to and lasted the usual length. The brown discharge was kinda heavy and very dark. My next period is due in 15 days. I had protected sex a few weeks before this happened,and had protected sex 2 nights prior to the brown discharge starting. The yeast and BV seemed to go away, but while taking this I began spotting again- my period had lasted three days prior to taking this medicine and then 14 days in I had brown bloody discharge, then clear discharge with bleeding then what looked like a light period! It was enough to stain but not enough to wear a pad. This terrified me! The discharge turned pink again and I was still bleeding more than regular spotting looks like.
A month ago i had my period as normal and towards the end there was a little brown discharge like there'd normally be at the end of my period but this lingered on for the next 3 wks and it smelt really foul, even worse than a period smell. I could even smell it through my clothes and had to resort to wearing a tampon even when not on my period.
Well she used monistat one and it seems that everything else has subsided, but now she has been having what seems to be blood or a gooey brown discharge. We do not know if her body has reacted to the monistat in a weird way or if that is a side effect of taking monistat. I hope someone can give me some answers so I can stop her from worrying so much.

The other thought is that maybe you have a bit of a yeast infection going on?? Do you have any other symptoms such as itching or clumping of discharge? Typically if you have a yeast infection you are a bit uncomfortable. Anything like that going on?
Otherwise, it is probably old blood and your period is about to start. Talk to your mom, don't be afraid!

All I notice is slightly tinted (light brown) CM with cottage cheese like texture. It could be an yeast infection but it shouldn't interfere the ovulation, right? I had all the tests done during last month, so don't think I have any infections or anything.. Has anybody skipped ovulation for a couple of month without any specific reason? Should I get blood work done for hormone imbalance?

I had the Depo Provera shot back in June and was due for another in September, however did not get another due to its side effects. I did not have a period the entire three months and a couple weeks after I was due for another shot, I have been receiving discharge that's sometimes bloody and sometimes brown, typical spotting not enough for any tampons or liners or anything. I figured because I hadn't been ovulating from the shot my system was just cleaning itself out.
I am currently seven days late for my period. three days before i was suppose to get my period when i wiped it was light pink so i thought i was going to get it but i never did. the next day i had nothing at all. the next day i had a peachy brown color but only one drop. then nothing for days later until i my nipples got sore when i touched them and they instantly got hard. and today i am having back ached and white milky discharge especially when i wipe its thick.
Taking 1 pill late should not lead to pregnancy though implantation bleeding is a possibility. Other causes of brown discharge are repeated yeast infections, pelvic inflammatory disease, bacterial vaginosis, cervical cancer, STDs.It is best to see a gynecologist to identify the cause of your problem. This is my first pregnancy, and today is the mark of my 6 weeks. Last night I had really clumpy discharge, and I checked again and it was a red and brown clumpy discharge. I'm almost positive I have a yeast infection, but I'm nervous about the red and brown... is this normal? I don't have a doctor yet, that's why I thought I would ask on here first.
Current age: 19 (started at 18). Symptoms: brown vaginal discharge, very strong foul fishy odour, pain (within the vagina and sensitivity at the clitoris, sometimes a light 'shock' feeling). Duration: ~1.5 years. This began abruptly, at first discharge was white, smell was fishy and there was no pain. The doctor suggested this as a yeast infection - antifungals made it worse. Other doctors noted it was BV - antibiotics did not help.
Brown crusty discharge isn't a pregnancy sign. :> Plus you had protected sex AND are on birth control. So, the discharge is probably related to the yeast infection and you could also have a bit of spotting due to birth control pills.
a week after this i began to experiance brown discharge and then blood spotting and then suddenly it became really clumpy. it lasted a whole week and now it is lessening to just a little bit of brown discharge. i am supposed to get my period this week. am i possibly pregnant? i really hope not because i am super paranoid about it. please answer....
