Hi all. I'm 17 years old and I've been on birth control for a little more than a year and a half. I've had brown discharge before but not the week before my period, but during my ovulation. I'm a little confused as to what this means because it's never happened to me before and if I should go see a doctor about it. As of right now, it seems that the discharge is slowing or stopping I can't figure out which one at this point in time.
I'm on birth control and i suddenly have brown discharge 2 weeks before my period. I had sex a little over 2 weeks ago w/ a condom and he did not finish in me. when i saw the discharge, took a test and confirmed i am not pregnant. I started getting the discharge on Sunday. I got my cartilage pierced 1 week before that and it didn't hurt until sunday as well. i also developed a cyst behind my ear (still on head and not on ear) .

I am having brown discharge that started four days ago before my period which is scheduled to start tomorrow. On the first day I noticed brown discharge, it was on and off throughout the day and it was only when I wiped. The second day was bright red, went back to brown, and was only when I wiped but definitely heavier. The third day, I had to wear a tampon and it was dark brown. Today it is dark brown like yesterday and I am wearing a tampon.
Two weeks later, I got my period but it was weird. It was brown discharge two days before and then I got a light period for the next three days. I was worried for a moment but I felt fine. I haven't had sex since but I messed up on my pills. I was late by two hours on the past two or three due to activities. Now, I'm two weeks from my period due date and I'm having brown discharge (yesterday I had normal colored spotting so bright red) and I'm having cramping in my lower back.
i have went off of it and my period has not come back on its own. They put me on a birth control pill to hopefully make my period start. Before that they had me on a 14 day pill that was suppose to make you start but it never did and i did two sets of the 14 days. I just started my birth control pill yesterday but for about two or three days now i have had really dark discharge and lately its been chunky.
He tried to putting it in but I stopped him before he could even put the whole tip in.. When I got up to go to the bathroom there was a brown discharge and ever since that night I've had it. It's been almost a month and I'm still having this brown smelly discharge I don't know if its because its dried up blood but do not like this as a side effect of whatever. I was wondering what other birth control methods are there besides depo, the pill, the patch and the vaginal ring.....
Today I got a bit of brown discharge in my panty and I’ve been noticing flakes of red in my urine and I was curious as to if this was normal? (I usually get the discharge before my period and after but I’ve been on birth control for approximately 3 months -the pill- and I’ve been told it is supposed to affect me differently at the beginning and I just recently had sex a week ago, could I possibly be pregnant?) As I draw nearer to my period date, the discharge seem to get heaver color-wise. It would be light brown discharge one day, then red-ish the next, then back to brown and so on, sometimes red. I'm due in about a day or 2 and just today it started to look more like period blood when I use the bathroom. I thought I would start today, but after a few times on and off through the day, it seem to disappear and has resume back to light brown discharge.
This past weekend I had lost my virginity to my boyfriend (his first time too). I was supposed to get my period, which hasn't come even after I took a morning after pill. Twice before I took the morning after pill I had two random globs of blood and once a membrane like brown type of discharge. This is not something that is normal for me whatsoever.
Ive had heavy clotting periods, Ive had really thick brown discharge at the begining and end before, Ive had it so dark it almost looked black. And its all just variations in how your hormones influence your period. And with a change in your birth control schedule, that could be totally normal. However, if you are still concerned about it get it checked out. There's no amount of advise from random people that will make you relax if you aren't convinced. Hope that helps.
I bled for a couple of days after. Then i started to experience brown discharge. When i got my period it was a really dark brown. I went to the doctors, had a pap test done. I had a bacterial infection. I took antibotics. Before my next period, i experienced that brown discharge but it was lighter and sometimes a lot of it. My period when it came was a light brown and it rarely had spots of red. It was a very light period and didnt last long. I went back and took more antibiotics.
I've been having brown discharge for nearly eight days and it shows no signs of stopping. I was due on my period on the eighth of March but this brown discharge came on the sixth and has stayed. No sign of my regular period. I'm also on the Pill (Microgynon 30, been taking it for two months now) and have regular sex with my boyfriend, I know it can't be an STI or STD as neither of us have them.
I’ve been on my pill for 7 months now, during my 7th month just a 2/3 pills before I was meant to have a break and go on my period I noticed I had a pinkish/brown discharge I then proceeded to come into my period as normal and now I’ve just finished my period and now I still have the same discharge? I’ve never had this at all since starting my pill what could this be??
I NEVER spot before my period so I was convinced it had to be implantation bleeding when I started spotting scant amounts of light brown discharge 3 days before my period. I took Plan B after a condom broke during sex on my peak ovulation day. Pregnancy test was negative, but I thought it was too early.
My period came on time, exactly 28 days after the last one. I guess the spotting was either due to Plan B, or it was something new that I can expect to happen now.
