I got up this morning to discover a whining puppy huddled against my front door. I investigated and he appears to be an approximately 3-4 month old Pit Bull pup. He has an injury to his right front leg, the skin seems to have been stripped from the surface and a strip of it is still attached but hanging from his leg. He is very cold and clearly malnourished.

so my docter did surgery one year later, he took the nail out of my leg and replaced it with a plate and and screws, during surgery he broke my fibula to get the plate in place. i dont no why he did it but my tibia feels alot better and now my fibula is broken, my question is has anyone ever had a corrective surgery on there tibia and had there fibula broken. And how long does it take for the fib to heal and am i screwed ? i dont know what to do.
2 weeks ago, our puppy was run over by a truck. He suffered several broken ribs, a collapsed lung and a severly broken forearm. We are not able to take him to a vet.
In nursing him 24 hours a day, he has pulled through nicely and is wanting to get back to being a puppy.
My question lies with his forearm. the bone seems to be heeling well, it's got a nice calcium ball however it's still "crunches" if manipulated. It sort of hangs from the shoulder when he stands.

Hi everyone. I'm new to the website but thought it may be a great place to ask my question. Okay, so here's the situation. 8 years ago while crossing the street I was struck by a car driven by a drunk driver.
t need surgery and my bone was repositioned and i was put in a cast. I had my sixteenth birthday with a cast on my right leg and i have had to cancel my driving test as i can't drive with a cast on. I will be with a full walking cast for another 2 weeks (its been 5) and then i will have a short walking cast for another 3 weeks. How long after that can i drive again and also how long until i play soccer. I will be going to physical therapy.
He then explained to me that since she has had leg surgery to fix a broken leg bone, that she probably raises her leg as a reflex in a way to alleviate the pain she may feel, on and off, in her abdomen. If in two weeks there is no improvement or throughout the days she gets worst then we'd do x-rays and maybe even an ultrasound. Two days ago my12 week old male golden retriever puppy started sleeping all day, no energy, and started crying when I touched around his face, mostly around his jaw. We took him to the vet and they did all sorts of tests, blood, xrays to see if his jaw was dislocated or broken because he was in a lot of pain, he could not even eat because it hurt him to open his mouth, but there was nothing abnormal on the xrays.
The standard response is that the brain cells that were just knocked unconscious usually come back in six months. The recovery of functions that were controlled by the now dead brain cells will require your brain to work on neuroplasticity, basically moving control to another part of your brain. That change can take a long time, I have heard of cases 15-20 years after a stroke and recovery can still take place.
