I was in a half cast, basically on the back of my leg and below the foot for a touch over a week, so I was unable to move my ankle and leg and was on crutches. Then 2 days ago I went to the outpatients department and the doc took the cast off me and told me to start walking on it with the aid of crutches as it isn't the weight bearing bone.
He said that the bone will heal by itself without the cast and even with me putting a bit of pressure on it.

Has anyone broken their pelvis during pregnancy? I broke mine in a car accident years ago and never had any problems with my first baby. This baby dropped at 28wks and my dr says he is almost certain this baby has broken it again. I'm scheduled for csection next week, which is a huge relief with the pain, but he said it could take 6-12wks to heal. Was wondering what other peoples experience was? Did it get better after delivery?
They told me 6 weeks to heal before i get cast off, but i was in a splint style cast for the first week, does that count as one week? and also should nt have the doctor have asked me to come in for check up x-rays just to make sure the bone is healing properly? i live in a small community was treated by a regular doctor a i think.Do u think ill need an aircast after i get regular cast off or is that just optional?
well she really should see a Vet for xrays to determine if the hip is broken, if this heals wrong she may never get the use of the leg back
but it could also be just badly bruised, perhaps some ligament damage(?) without an xray its hard for me to advise you.
if its only muscle injury, it will heal itself. but if its broken than she will have lasting damage.
In 2019 bolt came out in right leg and lodged so I could straighten leg, needed a revision had it done. In July 2022 left leg started swelling bolt came out and floating around, had a revision in October 2022! Last Saturday woke up to go to the bathroom couldn't straighten leg couldn't walk very painful, the bolt came out AGAIN 6 months after it was done and the threads were stripped on the bolt and it broke into pieces. Had a revision last week got home yesterday 5/5/23.
About five years ago I broke my right tibia. It didn't heal properly and after six months a rod was inserted. After a year I was back to playing tennis, golf, etc. I had it x-rayed about 1 year ago after a spell of aching. The orthopedist said I could have the rod removed but advised against it. Recently it has started to ache quite a bit. I did drive about 600 miles with few stops and that night it ached almost as much as the night I originally broke it and before the cast was put on.
The nose end of the vehicle landed on her right lower leg, crushing the Tibia and Fracturing the Fibula. She was Med-Flighted the 40+ miles to Huntsville Hospital for Women and Children in Alabama. I've had my left ankle broken on sept 29, it was a fibula frature with a tibia dislocation, was on splint for a week, had surgery on oct 7th,plate + screws + a very long screw to place my tibia on the right place, splint for another week, then my orthopedist put me on aircast Air Stirrup Universe since then. He told me to start physical therapy a week after surgery, but I waited until 2 weeks. Now my foot hurts on an area that has nothing to do with the fracture.
i don think i have broken my leg because i can walk around.nd when i touch and feel my leg i dont think its broken.htere is easy and free movement just that it is swollen.is it possible to have swellin even if there is no fracture?
in case there is swelling is it wise to imerse my leg in warm water as there are bruises on my leg and getting scared that water might go in.

my boyfriend was in a car wreck while he was crossing a street and he has the folllowing injuries a fractured leg a cracked pelvis and his right arm is broken in 3 places . he was sent to bedrest and keep his left leg elevated above the hip and he is not allowed to do much . he wants to walk and move around and he is so depressed cause he can't and it hurts me to see him like this.

Yesterday I fell while hiking and broke my finger (right hand ring finger) Went to the ER got an x-ray that showed the break in-between the knuckle and the last joint on the finger. They gave me a referal to an ortho but he is out of town for a couple of weeks, so they said to call my Dr to get a referal for an ortho as soon as possible. The finger is severally swollen, bruising bad and I can't move it up or down.
After PT I can now walk, climb stairs, ladders, jump from chair and starting to run with a limp, I walk without limp. No pain unless someone hit my injured leg area, only discomfort now and than but goes away in seconds. Soreness when I do lots of walking or play sports but no pain. Pretty much getting back to normal after a year post surgery
But when I visit my doctor for follow up, X-Rays still show my tibia bone still healing on broken tibia site.
Hello, I have a distal fibula fracture and was wondering about how long before it'll heal. I had fallen down the stairs of my apt. after moving some stuff, missing a step, landing on right foot, and I couldn't walk afterward. The fall itself didn't hurt me, but I knew immediately my ankle was broken as it was swollen. I have some of the posts about it and it scares me that it may not unite. What is the general outlook for this type of fracture?
Are you referring to the hymen? If you are, then no, once the hymen is broken it does not heal back together. The hymen is a piece of tissue that surrounds the vaginal open. It can be broken during a first time sexual encounter, but can also be broken prior to any sexual experience (bike riding, horse back riding, etc.).
