Broken leg guinea pig

Common Questions and Answers about Broken leg guinea pig

broken-leg

My family was forced to move from New Mexico to California for me to be treated. I was an antibiotic guinea pig during those years. I was told they finally got it under control without amputation when I was 8. I am now 50 and have recently been having some pain and tenderness in the same area on my lower leg that the disease ravaged back then. I am extremely nervous about this.
PEA is mostly used as a precursor to manufacture amphetamines and other psychotropic drugs. So do your homework before using yourself as a guinea pig. Lots of info out there, very few facts.
especially great patience and effort and skill” Imagine having a broken leg, you know there is treatment and with a little patience you will be better before you know it. With a personality disorder you are likely to experience the problem for many years with no real hope of a cure but your symptoms are likely to lessen as you grow older. Unlike a broken leg, you can not exactly see what is wrong but you can definitely feel it.
I LOVE guinea pigs! I've had 6 guinea pigs in my life. They're great pets!
i am on plaquenil my left eye I cannot see out of it anymore this went about 2 weeks ago. Can someone help as I feel I am a guinea pig and the Doctors know nothing. I've paid privately for a specialist and she said. Mmm I don't know what they are.
My "punctate to small T2 hyperintensities" (they didn't call them "lesions" in the radiology report) were said to be "of nonspecific etiology," which means, basically, they can't tell what caused them. DUH! And I've been suffering balance and visual problems nonstop since October of last year... yet the neuros so far have all said "migraine" because my MRI isn't worse.
Rare, I dont think so It makes me laugh, which is good at times, but frustrating. ANYONE WANNA BE A GUINEA PIG....
Investigate, research and do your homework before becoming another guinea pig for the pharmaceutical companies.
I suppose in the past year I have developed a bad attidude. I am feeling like a guinea pig or the person who is making the payroll for the medical field. I have done so many blood tests my veins do not want to work anymore and most of the tests come back normal. It is not that I want something to be wrong, I would jut like to know "what" it is and fix it. I have the "fix it" mentality and it is hard to change! Let me try to clarify a few things I said. 1.
my neuro at va doesn't have anyone on it he said? i'm really not in the mood to be a guinea pig, so to speak. still practicing guitar and i've gotten a bit better building up some tone memories and getting the fingers to more than they would like some days. changing chords still isn't smooth enoujgh but progress keeps happening which is great. i hibernate here each summer and it gets isolating but with music and a couple of other home based hobbies i get by.
so I don't play the victim and act like I was a Guinea pig to big pharma....on the contrary...I roll with the punches and try to figure out how I can improve my quality of life rather than feel sorry for myself. Unless somebody is an underage minor who took interferon from there parents....who has the right to complain? Really? Whoever didnt research the possibilities...its on them.
I heard about a research project a year ago that had cured 14 out of 20 people with type 1 diabetics, i wrote to them and asked if i could be a guinea pig. I was turned down because i can still feel the symptoms when my bs gets down under 70. CRAP. Ever notice how there are all these research studies that target type 2, but not so many for the ones that really need it?
Dear Sara, So sorry for your illness(es). I am going through something VERY similar. I was diagnosed with MS in 1992. I had Optic Neuritis with complete loss of vision in the left eye. I did have more Lupus symptoms,(Raynaud's, alopecia) like you, previously. My family doctor thought the ON was from Lupus. I did test positive for MS due to plaque load in 3 sections of my brain on the MRI taken 6 months after the MS attack.
Not wanting to be a guinea-pig, my boyfriend declined, since for now he is still okay most of the time. So actually right now he's not taking any drugs at all. He just read that some studies found that high doses of Vitamin D can help and so he decided to try this. He says it seems to help him feel less 'jittery'. He hasn't disclosed his condition to many people including pretty much all of his immediate and extended family.
I only had partial replacemnet, and I was still having real bad pain, almost as though I had a broken leg, because the bones are misaligned. Anyway, now what do I do about this pain? I'm on Vioxx, but it doesn't help. I use ice, but it's not inflamation, so as soon as I stop, the pain's right there. This is the hardest part of wd-ing, because I have real pain!!! Help!!! And my husband is getting tired of my complaining, and says I'm stressing him out.
lolI can send you a pic of my cat and my guinea pig, what a pair they are.... I hope you have another good day at work tomorrow.See,your co-workers enjoy the REAL you without that old devil lorcet altering your personality.
CONVENIA KILLS Hello Everyone, I'm trying to warn people about the dangerous veterinary drug Convenia. Don't ever allow your dvm to give your cat, dog, ferrret, rabbit or guinea pig this drug, it caused a severe anemic reaction in my darling cat… she died 10 days later. Once this drug was in her system she had no chance to survive. Convenia(cefovecin sodium) is a long acting antibiotic injection which stays in the system for 14 days actively and for 64 days after that.
Thanks for sharing your idea - I did try try and ask but for some strange reason my insurance is United Health Care and his office no longer participates with them?? They didn't go into the reasons "why" but the only ones they use are Blue Cross, and Aetna. He is a clinical psychologist and MD.
jennyfla: it's old broken record kip again.THERE IS A WAY THRU THIS FOR JENNY!!!! I'M 50- IVE BEEN ON AND OFF DRUGS AT LEAST AS LONG AS YOU (PROBABLY MUCH LONGER).SOME 16 YEARS AGO MY WIFE LOST HER FATHER TO LUNG CANCER. THEY SAW IT ON CHEST X-RAY, SENT HIM TO THE ONCOLOGY CLINIC, HAD ONE RADIATION TREATMENT AND DIED. THE WHOLE PROCESS TOOK ABOUT 2 WEEKS. I WAS THE ONE WHO TOLD HER HE WAS GONE.
A dog that has to take Benadryl everyday and a blind guinea pig. I tag anyone who wants to participate.
im so upset - i don't know who to talk to - I took my 87 year old mother to her rheumatologist, who is an arrogant pig but my mother loves him? Her RA is so bad she is confined to her home and using a walker just to go to the bathroom. Dr. started her on 60mg of prednisone for 3 days and then gradually down to 20mgs in 2 weeks. II don't know how long she is to be on 20mgs.
She was like a guinea pig and now, 8 years after, she is living with side effects that have never gone : hypotension (around 8), fainding every day, unbearable headaches, kidney pyelonephritis every months, and an exhausting fatigue that keep her in her bed sometimes several days, where she can hardly eat alone. Before that, she was so full of life, making car races, flying planes, being a model for photographes, and photographer herself.
I was in hospital for 8 weeks and had to have 2 further shunt revisions in the time I was in there as they couldn't get LP shunt draining properly or sited correctly. It has caused nerve route damage in right leg and I now have to walk on crutches too. I switched neurosurgeons as the one who had carried out the previous surgeries had denied there was any nerve damage, even though it was stated in the MRI reports.
I am curious how your injection went? Did you get the Synsvisc? Curious minds want to know? I did Aleve twice this week. Once it worked fantastic the second time--nothing at all. I am seriously considering this for my left knee. I have "moderate" arthritis. Keep us posted. Thanks.
20 years ago or so I had autoimmune Hepatitus and with that came chronic pain, weakness and a right leg problem, I guess it drags, but I can control it if I can see my leg.(strange I know). My liver tests were abnormal for years, however the neurological problems evolved. I have a small left cer. infarction/lesion, which drs say is nothing note worthy. And "age related" white matter in the front left lobe of my brain.
All the big pharma companies are searching for the blue happy pill for the morning, the red energy pill for lunch and the pink pain pill to stop from hurting. If I am going to be guinea pig for ADs I would hell of lot more rather try some opium based ADs that I know will work, instead of some s h i t AD pill that takes two months to balance my d a m n Seratonin... Too abrupt for you? Well sorry, I am getting my self esteem back and I don't care, so I won't aplogize for being honest.
Since that evening I've never felt normal, though it led me through the guinea pig march of trial and error with every anti depressant mentioned above. Well, never again until after a herniated disc leading to chronic pain, I was prescribed opiates. Initially, I had to battle the doctors' suspicion that I was enjoying the 'high'.
Also, when I scratch them, more tiny blisters will develop around the original blister, signifying an infection. These broken blisters often leave (little open sores) which can be difficult and slow to heal. These outbreaks seem to come in waves, as I'll often go weeks or even a month or two without a sign of blisters, itching, or infection.
