Hello. I fractured my calcaneous in December...on a kayaking trip. I jumped (and fell) off of a boulder. It was not displaced, but not diagnosed either. It was fractured in 3 pieces. When it was diagnosed 8 weeks later, the ortho indicated that I was fortunate, in that, I did get appropriate treatment. I was immobilized for 1 week, cast for 3 weeks. 3 weeks later, back in a boot for 3-4 weeks. I had been prescribed P.T.

after the surgery it was as if no one would talk to me about what the hell was going on. what kinda of rod did they put in? how long will it take to heal? why does my knee and ankle HURT SOO BAD? My ankle has been brusied and swollen with extremeley limited range of motion since the surgery 30 days ago. when will this go away? In my foot i have numbess in some areas and high sensitity in others. is this normal? also, the hosiptial gave me an EBI ORTHOPAK 2 to speed recovery.

i dont no why he did it but my tibia feels alot better and now my fibula is broken, my question is has anyone ever had a corrective surgery on there tibia and had there fibula broken. And how long does it take for the fib to heal and am i screwed ? i dont know what to do. this summer is going to really suck, i need some help please . Just because you can move it, doesn’t mean it’s not broken. My foot was broken in 2 places and I could still move my toes, etc. If you believe your toe is broken, you need to have it x-rayed to make sure. There isn’t anything they can do for broken toes, other than tape them, but at lease you’d have a chance of it healing straighter than if you do nothing.

I was in a go-kart accident where i dislocated and broke the Talus bone in my left foot. my husband dislocated ankle yesturday and the hospital says there is know fracture or broken bone thank goodness but we would like to know about how long will it take for him to get better. so he can go back to work he works in construction and there is no benefits so he doesn't want to be out long. so if anyone as dealt with this before please help...

I had a bad accident july 2012 on a motorcycle, i broke my hip,pinched sciatic nerve,broken ribs,Blood transfusion,TBI, after i was left with all of these broken bones my left foot was left with foot drop lots of pain stayed in bed almost a year learned to walk again from walker to crutches to hoping to now finally being able to walk until now i used about everything you can think of to get rid of the pain.

Last night I did a front flip on the trampoline and when I landed on my back my right heel came down hard on my left foot. I thought it was fine and kept jumping. Is the general concesus of this type of break that its difficult to heal? I have never been in so much pain in my life until this happened. And not knowing if it'll take forever to heal scares me. I am just disgusted with myself! How long will detox take? I have from Saturday-Monday to get better. I will have to work on Tuesday. Is this possible? I've had my left ankle broken on sept 29, it was a fibula frature with a tibia dislocation, was on splint for a week, had surgery on oct 7th,plate + screws + a very long screw to place my tibia on the right place, splint for another week, then my orthopedist put me on aircast Air Stirrup Universe since then. He told me to start physical therapy a week after surgery, but I waited until 2 weeks. Now my foot hurts on an area that has nothing to do with the fracture.

My 1st brother hurt his foot wen he was doing lessons in defending himself he couldn't walk on it for 6 weeks it took him 6 weeks to recover. we never knew until last year in jan and by april he had surgery on left foot. his right foot and ankle hurt alot latly so lookin at havin that one done also. hes only gonna be 15 in may. hes very active and you can tell hes in pain. my dad also has flat feet but fortunatly they never bothered him. my sons left foot they just took out some bone, however the right one will be broken and fused and wow, thats alot. he will be off it for at least 3 months and in a cast then walkin boot for awhile.
