Broken foot recovery how long

Common Questions and Answers about Broken foot recovery how long

foot

I am 11 weeks into a broken foot. I broke my 5th meditacel. My doctor says I can spin with very low resistence. Looking for a second opinion. He says I'm 50% weight bearing on the foot. I tried spinning yesterday. I didn't break a seat as I'm afraid to use my foot too much.
I have had 2 bulging discs in my back for about 10 years now and had about 3 sciatica episodes all which went away in there own time, but in this particular time when i was bending over to put some paperwork into an envelope, the pain i experienced was different this time that i could hardly walk.
Yes this is normal after a healed fracture. You have to do plantar flexion and dorsi flexion and other ankle and leg exercises. Visit a Physiotherapist and continue your physiotherapy for speedy recovery. Take care!

I am going to have surgery quite soon for my herniated/broken disc. I wondered how long if anyone has had this, how long is recovery? I mean how long for pain? WIll I feel great right away and be able to do normal things? Now, a relative who thinks they are the only one with pain and mostly lies, so I don't know whether to believe them or not said our grandfather had the surgery and was up literally dancing right after surgery that day.
Hi roach, I sustained a calcaneus fracture 4 weeks ago and shattered the heel bone was told by my surgeon that he would not operate unless I quit smoking because of bad circulatory problems, this injury is associated with bad blood circulation that is why elevation is essential for recovery and as you noticed this flags up when the foot is down I wouldnt panic about it just ask your surgeon or physio when you see them I have the same thing and when you feel your foot in the down position it's us
I'm up to 10 to 15 a day now and take five just to get me moving in the morning. This is no way to live. How long and how hard are the with drawals from it? I don't want to live my life around this drug anymore. Just a word of encouragment some times is what I think I need and to know that I am not alone.
He's also extremely hungry and thirsty. I've read that all of these are possible phenobarbital side effects. How long do these usually last before the dog gets used to the medication? I'm hoping that these are not signs that something else is wrong, though I am aware of the possibilities.
In the past few weeks, my boyfriend and I have broken up, gotten back togehter, fought, dealt with trust issues. It has been so painful. But none of that can compare to the pain caused by last night. And it is all my fault. I have been feeling like he has been lying lately. Like I have been crazy to stay with him, but I love him so much that I kept on forgiving so the pain would go away. Last night, he asked me where my phone was. I said in the car. I then realized it was in my purse.
I am very active, so this is very difficult. I'm wondering how long one might expect recovery from this type of injury??? My doctor indicated possibly a year. Is that accurate? Any suggestions to promote flexibility to promote stair climbing??? Funny I know but I have 3 flights of stairs to my house. thanks.

due to your age - may I ask about your recovery? About how long and how much have you recovered? My brother had massive left side ischemic stroke 2 mos ago and is recovering slowly but surely. Was too late for tpa but he's in a rehab hospital getting lots of therapy and is due to be discharged in 2 weeks. He also has age on his side (49 yrs old) but I'm curious to know the experiences of younger stroke survivors. I hope you continue to get stronger and stronger.
maybe I'm just paranoid cause it is still tender in the area of the facture, is it normal to be tender 8 weeks after injury, if so than up to how long might one feel some tenderness for? and what are some symptoms of a non-union. My x-rays must have looked okay when I saw the orthopedist two weeks ago, or I sure he would have said something.
Initially it was really harrashing to see your leg hanging like a ballet dancer's foot..But i am nt here to tell you how bad it is or how it affects your life....rather wiil give u a ray of hope.I have recovered from FOOT DROP without suregry in 3 months and credit goes to the physiotherapy sessions....yes...its true u can go for muscles stimulation given by phsios.Initially your foot will not respond to stimulation but eventually u wll feel the difference. All u need to hav is patience.
To anyone that has lost a spouse, how long does it take to get past these very intense feelings? I don't think it has reached a point as beyond normal, however, I'm finding it hard to answer the question "how are you doing?" yet saying "I'm fine " is a real stretch. Comments?
First, can someone point to a reliable web site where they list the symptoms? Second, how long I can expect this general lousy feeling last? And last, how long will it take to get back to a feeling where I want to do more than just lay around all day? Thank you all in advance for answering my questions.
How long until I start to feel better? I am off of work for a week (I planned this to coincide with my vacation). I would have gone into a detox or something but I have no one to take care of my house, etc.
If my husband could make it, there's a good chance your boyfriend can too. How long have the two of you been together? Long enough to be considered de facto married in the eyes of the law? Perhaps you have more "standing" to say what happens to him than you think. At the very least, you should make sure an EEG is done, to see how much brain activity your boyfriend has. I'm not sure it is legal to withdraw care from someone whose brain is still functioning.
What would be the determine weather or not he would get me a stir-up air cast vs a walking boot? How long would I have a limp for? Thanks Dr. Kaul!
(Clean_in_KS, feel free to Google it) I will require surgery to put in a plate and screws to put my leg back together. Next step is an MRI to determine what is sure to be ligament damage. I had a very long talk with my doctor yesterday, she is completely aware of my issues with pain pill abuse. She told me not to be a martyr, and that this is a serious injury. She wants me to take Diluadid for pain. She said that she will strictly monitor my pill intake and to have my roommate dispense them.
32 weeks pregnant was in a car accident on the 7th in which I bruised possibly broke my tailbone. Not a whole lot of options available because of the pregnancy. any advice?

And just how long does the withdrawl process last? What can I expect? And how do I tell my husband? I know he'll be supportive of me, he'll do whatever he can to assist me in getting away from this drug. Then, after I've gotten off of the Norco, what do I do for the pain? I also have Fibromyalgia. I don't get the "high" from the Oxycodone that I get from the Norco. I'm terrified of alerting my doctor to my problem for fear that I won't be sucessful at quiting... Help Please!

When can I expect the withdrawals to end and how long does it take to get back to my normal self with no effects whatsoever of the Fentanyl? I seriously need help!
I hate these withdrawls and I feel like maybe I shouldn't have gone cold turkey so I keep telling myself that maybe I should get these pills and try to come off of them slowly. Does anyone know how long these withdrawls will last? Any advice? PLEASE!! Thanks!
Please know you are not alone. This Forum has really helped me! I''m on day 9 off FENTANYL & day 3 off Darvocet. I used the Darvocet to help with the Fentanyl WD's. Fentanyl is waaaay stronger than Morphine! Anyway, I'm feeling better today. I woke up with a little bit of a craving for the Darvocet, but what I did was EAT! I lost 19 pounds in 2 months on the Fentanyl. I look bad! But, i don't care. Just make the leap & get started!
He has been in ICU for 2 weeks and now going to TCU, nobody knows how long. I make sure he gets foot rubs and always make sure his trache' is suctioned as much as he needs. It is frustrating since he has no speech due to the surgery. Does anybody that has had this kind of surgery? I keep telling my brother to think about "THE GOAL" The goal is that no more neck pain and how he can live the rest of his life with a better neck.
