For about 1 year and 1/2 I have had occasional pain under my right armpit, but not in my armpit, under it, like in my ribs. the pain travels from under my pit to under my right breast. the pain comes and goes and can last from minutes to weeks. it hurts to breathe in when i have the pain. the doc says the xray shows nothing. help?
I just had my first radiation treatment yesterday. lumpectomy was done July 6, reexicion for margians on July 27th and was reopened on August 17th due to an infection. the shooting pain in my breast finally went away 2 weeks ago and now after just one treatment of radiation I can feel the pain coming bacj and a tearing feeling under my arm. I am very concerned about how this will go. stage 1 invasive ductal carcinoma tumor size 1.7 cm, clear margins no lymph node involvement. Any advise for me?
Three days ago I began having pain under my right breast. As nurses we all have tried to diagnose the pain. Some suggesting lung or gallbladdar however the pain is not internal it is external (above the rib). When I am standing the pain is worse when I sit back the pain subsides. If I raise my right arm over my head and lean to the left this also feels better. What could this be?
Is this a cause for alarm. My aunt died from breast cancer. Her lump was actually under her arm as well. My lump feels like a bump under my skin. I first thought it was a hair bump just like my family thought it was a hair bump under my aunt's arm but it was more. What should i do.

Im 28 w pregnant and lately I've had a sharp pain under my left breast almost everyday and when i lay on my left side is this bad? I don't think it's my baby kicking..... Is anyone having the same problem?
I have had a lump under my right arm for the past two months. Lately, it seems to have got bigger. When I press it, it hurts and moves a little. My doctor has ordered an ultrasound and MRI now; quite frankly, he seemed a little shocked. I have breast implants and was told two years ago that one of them had leaked. Could this be linked?

Back in May 2012 I had an odd bout of pain, it was as if someone had beaten my upper back, I had pain that seemed to wrap around to the front causing what I would consider tightening in chest or sternum area, it lasted for 3 days,I did not go to Doctor or hospital, its a long story of husband out of town and daughter busy with two babies at home. Did not want to bother anyone. I did think I was having a heart attack, as I do have high cholesterol.
First a felt a little pain under my arm a think a day after I shaved it, I just felt that maybe I just nicked my self like I do cause the pain was normal, but then the next day I would left my arm and the pain was a bit wores, and then I notice a lump or something. The pain lasted for a couple of days or so, and the lump began to get smaller and smaller. When I left my arm up I can notice it, but it's not causing any pain now, and it's been about 2 months.
Spent endless nights for the past week and a half worrying and trying to figure out what’s going on. Then this mark under my right breast came which is the breast I feel the most pain in. It’s odd because it kind of resembles stretch marks which I’m no stranger to but I also don’t remember having them there in that spot and don’t know why they would be a purplish shade and what seems to be a little bump.
Please help.. I have back problems, but never have I experienced this much pain.. Monday I started to have pain in my neck. It felt like I hade a crick in it from sleeping on it wrong, but I was at Walmart when I started experiencing the pain. It got worse that night. The pain then started going down to my shoulders. When I laid down in my normal sleeping position, on my left side with my arm under my pillow, I couldn't put my arm under my pillow because the pain was so bad..
For the past 3 days I have had swollen glands under both nipples, the left is worse then the right. On top of that I can feel pain in my gland under my left arm periodical, it is swollen as well and painful to touch. a week before these glands started hurting I had my right side gland behind my cheek bone just before my ear swell and hurt. I think this is the saliva gland, as I would east salty or sour foods it would hurt worse.
I tend to agree with your Dr. to some degree about the breast pain. This is rarely associated with Breast Cancer, especially when it's been an ongoing problem. I'm a bit surprised that you are still on HRT as this has been proven to be quite a serious risk factor for developing Breast Cancer. This could certainly be a factor in your breast pain. If your tests are negative I doubt there is anything to be terribly concerned about.
For almost 2 years I have had a lump under my left arm. Didnt go to dr because I was sure they would just say it was a boil or reaction to deodorant which I am certain it is not. Its definitely a lump slowly getting larger, not round in shape more elongated. Skin on top is now looking discoloured. Not painful to touch.Sited at junction of armpit and breast. However my left arm has now become numb, numbness is now descending below elbow and into fingers.
