It wasn't a lymph node, at least my Doctor couldn't find it! He send me some images of my armpit and breast! Going on the 27th..

ve been having issues with my ears ringing constantly (worse when my surroundings are quiet), pain in my ears, pain/swelling in the lymph nodes below my ears, and just last night I started having pain in the space between my right breast and armpit. I'm also always tired and I have a white coating on my tongue almost 24/7... Off subject, but I dont get my period regularly (maybe once a year), so I'm scared about cancer...

One is the possibility of an infection somewhere in the breast that can drain the infection towards the lymph nodes. The presence of infection can be seen as enlargement and swelling of the lymph nodes. Another possibility is malignancy. Some lymph nodes can enlarge in response to a malignant formation somewhere in the breast even if there are no obvious lumps or breast nodules. Regards.

She also prescribed Azithromycin (250 mg/ every 12 hours) and Piroxicam (20 mg/ every 12 hours) I am nervous and scared.

This isn't the best title for my topic. I have been experiencing extreme pain in the right breast that has put me in the hospital overnite. I had 2 ultrasounds on the breast and a mamogram. The drs. said the lymph nodes in my right breast close to my arm pit (that's where the worst pain in the breast is located) are irratated and inflammed. I am on pain meds.. What comes next? Why do/how lymph nodes get like this? I am a 38 year old female with a 16 year old son.

I recently had a second MRI of my left shoulder following a car accident this past August. The first MRI showed enlarged axillary lymph nodes. My doctor couldn't feel anything and all my blood work was fine so we just let it go. Well after continuing shoulder pain I just had a second MRI which still showed enlarged lymph nodes. Now my doctor is concerned that I might have breast cancer! I'm only 29years old and otherwise healthy...just a sore shoulder.

Hello-- I'm 24 years old and am in generally in good health. A little over a year ago, I found some slightly enlarged lymph nodes under my right armpit, simultaneous with side pain and some tooth infections (all seemingly unrelated). I sort of freaked out and called my doctor, who said she could barely feel the nodes, and that because they were so small and moveable they were probably nothing.

I am a survivor of breast cancer. Five years ago I discovered a lump underneath my left armpit initially not painfull. Was diagnosed with breast cancer, I had a lumpectomy and 15 out of 24 lymph nodes were found to be cancerous and removed, chemo, rads & tamoxifen. I have now had a double mastectomy and re constructive surgery. Recently over the past few weeks I have been experiencing a pain in the same area of my armpit it comes and goes with a general aching that lasts.

It states that nothing is found except the lymph nodes and lymph nodes alone DO NOT indicate cancer !! Lymph nodes become enlarged any time there is an infection somewhere in the body and they often do NOT go back to their normal size which is about the same as a bean. Being thin I would think you might be able to palpate nodes more easily and since you say they have been the same for at least a year or possibly longer I don't see anything to be concerned about.

The blood work all came back within the normal range...but meanwhile, as the weeks passed, the pain of the lymph nodes would seem to flare up and then subside a bit only to flare up again. It seems like you have cyclic mastalgia (periodic breast pain) caused by fibrocystic breasts. Breast cancer rarely presents with pain, and the lymph nodes would stay swollen. The lumps and discomfort are related to hormonal changes due to your menstrual cycle. This morning I noticed a few more swollen lymph nodes on the left side of my neck, as well as what seems to be a lymph node along my jaw, about an inch from my ear. It seems odd to me. I am scheduled to go back to the doctor in about a month, but I was just wondering if this is significant at all or even related? Thanks!

Five months after mastectomy, removal of 13 lymph nodes and simultaneous silicone implant have developed cording NOT in arm but from implant in right breast to ribcage below. Appeared after final chemo with tax. Initially thought pain in breast and ribcage was nerve endings waking up after surgery and initial raised cording a fold in implant or scar tissue.

I just had a sterotactic biopsy 7 days ago on my right breast and, although I had little or no pain in my breast thereafter, I am now having a lot of pain in my lymph nodes on that side. Two days ago I was called by my primary care doctor and told that the lump in my breast is cancer. I've had no contact from the radiologist and I have to wait for a week for a surgical consult for a lumpectomy. Tomorrow I am going to call my regular physician and see about getting in to see him.

Hi,when I had my lymph nodes removed for testing (2 of them) during my breast surgery, I had the same thing happened to me..As Japdip advised you, she advised me also, that the swelling would resolve by itself in due time..I also talked to my surgeon about it and she told me exactly what I was told by Japdip.So give it some time and the swelling will subside considerably.If this swelling is not because of a recent biopsy,then Lymphedema could be the culprit (I hope not).

since she had non invasive duct type breast cancer, how did it get into the lymph nodes and what can i expect to find out next with regards to her future? Thank you, Vicki N.

2mm. There is some tenderness and pain on both my breast coz there are cysts both breast. Actually my doctor told me that i have lumpy breast.

around my second trimester i started to feel the pain more sharper and experianced lymph nodes pain under armpit,under breast and at the sides of it.then around the 3rd trimester it came back much stronger and including pain at the neck,back and sholder..now and i have this pain all over my left side from head to toe(head,behind ear,neck,shoulder,arm,joints,knees,chest,abdomen,back) i had an ultra sound but the doctor told me i have normal breast tissue and no lumps even under the arm..

t think the breast pain is related but if you have swollen lymph nodes under your arm you should get a doctor to look at that as well. You can get sore breasts around the time of your period. First get the eye exam. I agree you may need at CT or MRI. Do you wear contact lenses? My sister in law got lost one in her eye for a year. The doctor couldn't find it and later they found it but it caused her lots of problems. You never know.

is it central armpit? because breast pain isnt normally in ur armpit because the lymph nodes are usually only on the edge of the armpit and if it was a breast related problem that was giving u armpit pain then ur lymph nodes would probably be swollen. has ur actual breast been hurting? if it has regularly, then go back to the docs and say your still worried. but at ur age breasts may get more tender at certain times of the month etc, usually before periods.
