Avatar n tn by now your milk should have been dried up only usually takes a couple of weeks for it to dry up after stop feeding was you on your cycle when you noticed it sometimes you have milk then too. If your in pain or breasts are hard and hurt i would contact your gyn they can give you a pill to dry up faster.
Avatar f tn I have milk coming out of my breast when I squeeze them for the last month. I had a surgery a year ago with my tubes cut and burnt. My period from the last two months has been so low. Could I be pregnant even though I had the surgery or is there some else going wrong?
Avatar f tn Because breast milk has HIV count, lower than blood and vaginal fluids, secondly, saliva has the capability to inactivate HIV.
Avatar f tn It is easy to be confused about the risk of HIV associated with breast milk. Many educational websites and other resources list exposure as a risk, because infants can be infected by nursing. But those sources rarely tell the full story. Among babies nursed by HIV infected mothers, only about 10-15% catch HIV; and typically it takes 6 months before they become infected -- all the time swallowing several ounces of milk ever day." DR.
4628530 tn?1369109086 There were times where it was too painful, or an abscess was on the areola, or the surgical drainage affected the ability to breastfeed, when that happened I would just hand pump in the shower to release the milk, and breastfeed normally out of the unaffected breast. Although the milk production is lower in the breast that I have GM I was still able to produce enough milk and my son is exclusively breast feed.
Avatar m tn Thanks everyone for your reply, I am very grateful to you all for taking out your time & answering the query. One doubt is coming in my mind due to my ocd (obsessive) nature, Eventhough I did not taste any thing from her nipple nor did i see any cut on her nipple.
Avatar m tn The baby may show reaction towards breast milk also if the mother is taking dairy products in her diet.Diagnosis of milk allergy can be confirmed after skin ***** or patch tests and food challenge tests.Confirmation can be done with blood tests like RAST.It also helps in differentiating milk allergy from lactose intolerance. You need to consult an allergy specialist for that. Treatment involoves elimination of all dairy products from the diet.
Avatar f tn Hi there, Please watch this video which will show you how to do BSE (Breast Self Exam) http://video.healthination.com/hn/breast-self-exam/performing-breast-self-exam-bse.html It's recommended that you practice this examination once a month, one week after you start your menstruation. I also urge to to see your doctor concerning your bloody nipple discharge, as RTRM321 has suggested. Take care and best wishes...
Avatar f tn I dont know of its milk or not. In the mornings when i wake up my shirt is stain on one side morr than the other. Its my first i need help ?
Avatar n tn Since you can't get a vet until Friday, keep a very close eye on her. In fact, squeeze the nipples yourself and see what the milk looks like that comes out. As long as it's white, you're OK, but if there is any blood in the milk, take the puppies off her and start feeding them with a bottle. Blood in the milk is a sign of infection, and you don't want the puppies nursing from her if she has an infection bad enough to produce blood-streaked milk.
Avatar f tn In all seriousness-As a 39 yo mom of 3 with my tubes tied, you can imagine my surprise when I realized I'm producing milk! Is it true that it can be an early sign of breast cancer???
Avatar n tn I am not sure how you spell that but it has something to do with nipple discharge I think. How is this related to breast cancer?
Avatar f tn , so it’s sitting around 1100, I’ve had another blood test to see what it’s at now but I’m just curious as if it’s high normally symptoms for woman are breast milk pregnant or not pregnant low sex drive ect. But I haven’t had any of the symptoms caused by high levels I do have children and even when they were born I could produce enough milk for them just wondering if it’s common to have high levels but not enough milk to produce even when having a baby. I hope this makes sense Thankyou.
Avatar f tn I got a nipple shield and it took few weeks for my daughter to fully latch, but it made breast feeding easier.
1123420 tn?1350561158 I was planning to exclusively breast-feed, but I lost so much blood at delivery that my milk supply was REALLY slow to come in. My daughter was a natural BFer, and we both LOVED it...but after awhile when my milk still wasn't coming in right, I started to get really upset every time I breast-fed because I knew she wasn't getting enough and it became too stressful...
Avatar f tn My baby's 6 weeks old now and I just started breast feeding. I can't produce milk at all at the moment does this mean that aI should stop because it's to late to start breast feeding now? I try to pump it as much as I can and I can only get a few drops from it. I tried giving it to my baby to be he doesn't want to suck it because he's used to the bottle now what can I do.

Avatar f tn With that being said the concentration of alcohol in your breast milk also reflects that of your blood. So if you have one drink your breast milk won't contain the same amount of alcohol as the drink, it'll contain the same amount of alcohol at your blood, which for an average sized person would be about 0.
561393 tn?1320962815 You can try making "maizena" which u can get at like safeway in the hispanic isle it helps bring in ur milk I tryed it with my first baby and it worked my milk came in real fast and alotttt... Also there's pills called "fenugreek" that also help... Just a few suggestions...
Avatar f tn If you supplement before that time your body will not know how much milk to make for your baby and this can sabotage your breast feeding ability. This is because breast feeding is a supply and demand system. The more your baby demands, the more your body will produce. It's hard for ftm's to know if their baby is getting enough from the breast.
8365413 tn?1407251515 But my friend breast feeds and her boobs are ridiculous. But she pumps too. What ever is more comfy. Breast milk is breast milk no matter how they get it.
437027 tn?1670266352 Typically it takes 3 to 5 day for your milk to come in. Yes if you breast feed him first and then supplement with formula your breast milk will come in. If you want to help it along start pumping. That is what I did. Good luck. Sounds like things should be great once your milk comes in. Getting them to latch on and stay on was the hardest part for me.

Avatar f tn I was told not to pump and dump, its better to wait it out because the alcohol content in breast milk will be the same as in your blood, as youre blood alcohol levels decrease so will the amount in the breast milk and pumping and dumping will just be a waste. My dr told me that its better to just wait it out and to pump a little every now and then and use these test strips from walmart.
