t ever have to worry about your breast milk being recalled like with formula.

Boob size doesn't have anything to do with the amount lol.. What I'm planning to do is breastfeed, but I bought formula and bottles just in case something doesn't work out. Like I don't produce enough, it gets to painful, or what not.

I didn't have enough milk to breast feed my daughter exclusively. She was breast fed and formula fed. I switched between the two every feeding and she never had a problem. I think it will all depend on your baby and how well they handle it. Some like my daughter do just fine switching back and forth, my son got constipated a few times with the alternating between formula and breast milk.

ve heard bad things about formula that makes me think, I rather breast feed then she intake GMO or crap from a product we absolutely have no control over. I'll know what I put in my body. There has to be resources at your hospital that they can provide to help with breast feeding and or you can get a breast pump and just bottle feed her, but its still breadt milk.

Breast is best. There has been proven fact that formula can cause long term health problems. Autoimmune diaeases from their lil bodies not being able to digest properly. Diabetes, chrohns disease and others are on the rise for younger children these days.

Hi mums! I'm currently 20wks with baby number 4 and thinking about breastfeeding vs formula. My 1st baby was born at 27wks and I expressed for 9 weeks with the help of medication as my milk supply was low. Baby number 2 was full term and I breast fed and expressed plus the help of medication for about 7 weeks and gave up then due to low supply. Baby number 3 was full term and again I fought for about 5 weeks with expressing, breastfeeding and medication before I gave up.

I made the decision to breast feed because it is the best thing for him, breast milk contains valuable antibodies, it is free, convenient, and I love the bonding experience. Although I am a huge breast feeding advocate, not every woman can or even wants to and they shouldn't be made to feel bad for that.

So I'm pretty sure I want to breast feed my baby girl because I feel like it would be cheaper. What are your guy's opinion on breast feeding Vs. Formula feeding? What should I choose and why?

s like snow flakes lol, and the bonding that you get is so amazing and deep, they dont spit up as much and they tend to get more constipated on formula rather then breast milk...plus its free! And studies show that babies immune systems who are breast fed are much more sufficient then formula fed babies, they don't get sick as much and they bounce back quicker. My personal opinion is its selfish if a lady chooses not to because it hurts at first or its inconvenient for them.

Girl if you go to the Heath department they will give you a electric pump :) but like ^^ said its a whole lot cheaper breast feeding and formula doesn't provide colostrum I'm planning on breast feeding for 4/5 months then switching over to formula

Like is it bad to give formula AND breast milk? Can it make it to wear he wont want my breast milk? And as far as having to pump over nursing, will it lessen my supply?

If you plan on using wic for the formula, you'll have to use the brand they provide. However, if your baby has a milk protein intolerance and its documented by trips to the er and pediatrician, you can have your ped fill out a form to switch the formula. It has to be approved by the state dietician and you have to have the forms renewed every other month. I had to go through this with my daughter, and her formula was $26 a can bc she was on Alimentum.

Breastfeeding moms will insist that formula makes babies fat but genetics plays a much larger roll than formula vs breast milk. All my kids have been formula babies and their weight stayed on a normal growth pattern. None were ever over weight. I would talk to your pediatrician and see what they say.

There are many bottles out there that can simulate the breast. Although I have hopes to exclusivly breast feed, i did get some avent natural bottles. They are made to simulate breart feeding because the nipples only let out so much milk. .depending on how hard baby *****.kinda like the breast. It's not just like " simple" bottles where the milk comes trickling out.

Its a hard decision to make because every mother wants the best for their new born. Do some research on formula vs. Breast milk. Maybe that will ease your mind a little. The only way I'll do formula is if I cant breastfeed my baby.

'Breast is best' is an old saying that rings true… I nursed all my kids and was able to pump when I returned to school (work really - I'm a teacher). Ultimately you're going to need to do what works for you. For me I had no idea if I was going to be able to nurse or wanted to or any of that… I took it one day at a time and had success. I found a ton of support on this sight as well. I reached out to those around me and took things one day at a time.

I tried to breast feed with my first but he was allergic. Ended up in the hospital several times :( I didn't have a choice but to do formula. now I am on my second pregnancy going to try and breast feed, but bottle feed when my husband wants to help.

s really is better for baby. Actually now formula is 99.9% the same as breast milk. TeenyMello as I stated I live in a very pro breast is beast state, so WIC trying to push me to breast fed is not super ridiculous. My home state WIC did not try and push me to breast fed, they just said ok and didn't give me any grief about it. They acknowledge it was my choice, which is coming from a very informed decision based on past experience.

Second my friends choose to pump what they can and supplement with formula. That way you know exactly how much baby is eating and some find the breast pumps more comfortable.

I agree with the benefits of breast feeding. I pumped with my first since I was working. With my second, Ip decided to be a stay at home mom, so I tried to nurse him. Well the day we got discharged, they have him his vaccines and he stopped latching on, so I had to go back to the pump and do double the work. When a mother is brrastfeeding her body has antibodies that can be transferred tk the baby through the breast milk which will help build the babies immune system thus decreasing chances of infection.. so thats why there are some people who say that breast feeding is better.. formula has a reputation of being so called unfit because it has a long list of ingredients that are of course synthetic so people argue that if you cant even understand these synthetic forms..

My second I breast feed but would give formula at least never feeding a day just because pumping never worked for me and I wanted to be able to give him bottles without a fuss if something happened and I wasn't able to be there to breast feed.

Each pregnancy produces different breast milk specifically made for the babies needs. breast milk is way more healthy then formula, plus its free which is pretty swell lol and you loose weight faster and if you work and aren't there to breast feed just pump for while your gone and you can pump at work too. You burn more then 500 calories a day just from breast feeding.
