I pumped nd stored sum breast milk in the refrigerator nd forgot to label the date I think its been in there a lil over a week my son has his doc app tomorrow nd I shall be given it to him then will it be still safe or should I throw it out??

s coming in very slowly everyone I pump I only get a little bit from each breast it takes me to pump quite a few times to fill up a storage tube why am I not producing enough milk yet and what can I do to produce more milk for my baby

Hi ladies! Does anyone know if I can store Breast milk in ziplock freezer bags? The bags I have made specifically for breast milk don't close very well and I worry about freezer burn. If you have any advice I'd love to hear it!

I'm going to get the gerber bottles from walmart. My sister has them & they work fine so i thought I'd try them, but if I'm pumping what bottles would I store the milk in? Or should I just get storage bags?? & if i get storage bags do i just pour the milk in the bottle when im ready to feed? Ugh. So confused lol help!

I'm trying to choose the best breast pump and milk storage system I can find. I travel extensively for work and I'll even be pumping in the car. I found the Kiinde system; which looks awesome. But, I'm not sure what I will be able to express from each breast at each pumping session. Ideally, I would like to pump directly into the storage bag, freeze it, thaw it, and feed directly from the bag. That is how the Kiinde system is intended to be used.

I wouldn't put it in a water bottle if it were me. I would buy some cheap breast milk freezer bags to have them on hand for the next time. These either tie with a twist tie or they zip closed. You can get a huge amount for a few bucks at Target. Sounds like you are doing great with the breastfeeding!!!!!!

you can store it in the fridge for 2-3 days just make sure you date the milk also it can go in the freezer i think for upto 6 months and it is good to use the breast milk storage bags so you can date them also and then you can take them straight from the freezer and put the bag in the baby bottle warmer. when you buy the breast pump there should be a little book about breast feeding and everything that comes with it.

To supplement the breast milk with infant formula, suggest mixing them. Try mixing ¾ breast milk and ¼ infant formulas at first. If he does accept it, then after a week or so, try doing a bottle mix of ½ breast milk, and ½ formulas. If you wish, you can gradually go to a bottle mix of ¼ breast milk and ¾ formulas, then totally to all formula depending on how he accepts it. When you want to wean him off the breast milk you can follow the above also.

Fresh milk can be in the fridge 4-6 days and frozen thawed milk can be in the fridge 24 hours. These are the milk storage guidelines from the LLL.

U actually freeze breast milk in special bags made for storage

My bottles won't fit and I was wondering what did you use to store your breast milk in? I've looked at Walmart and the first years website. Can you use any milk storage bag? I have two bottles that came with the pump can I use them and just pour the milk in the storage bag? Or will that mess up with me pumping?

I have a question for all the moms out there. I am 39 weeks tomorrow it will be my second daughter my 1st is now 7 years old. With my 1st I did not breastfeed at all not in the hospital or out of the hospital she was on formula from day one. My question is now with my second I still do not plan on breastfeeding from my breasts it not something thats gonna ever be on my agenda, but I do want to pump and bottle feed.

Put it in the lansinoh storage bags specifically for breast feeding, then label it and stick it in the freezer.

Usually breast pumps come with one or two bottles (depending on whether you got a single or double pump). Once you have pumped dump the milk into breast milk storage bags, or you can pour the milk into what ever type of bottles you and your baby prefer to use.

Our hospital hands out flyers with breast feeding and milk storage tips when you leave the hospital. I breastfeed but my little one didnt take a bottle so i cant help you with the tips! There are lots of guidelines though like how long in the fridge and or freezer and how long at room temp!

The way I switched my son from breast milk to formula was I began mixing my breast milk with formula. For example, 1oz formula to 4oz breast milk to start off. Then slowly went increasing the amount of formula each week.
