re supposedly an infection going around in womens breasts making the breast milk unhealthy for the baby has anyone else heard that rumor cuz I plan on breastfeeding my son

Did you have antibiotics prior to giving birth? You could have a yeast infection IN you milk ducts...I did and the breast pain was excrutiating! BUT it went undiagnosed for almost 2m because I didn't show any signs on my nipples... Your chills etc sound mastitis-ish though... Maybe a day of rest will help BUT if your breasts keep hurting, see a dr... read this and see if it seems like your symptoms...

Hello All: First the mamo and ultrasound says '1.6 cm mass with characteristics of malignancy'. Then the breast surgeon evaluates me further and confirms his concerns and recommends biopsy. The Biopsy was done on Thursday. The results were to come on Monday, the 4th of April. However, my doc. called me on Friday itself to tell me I do not have "C" but a breast infection!
