milk

Avatar f tn Its prolly just tender breasts hun u usually don't get clogged ducts until after birth u can produce milk at the end of pregnancy but the production supply dont come till afterwards ..
Avatar f tn I dont have that problem, but you really shouldnt worry as you will have milk ducts and that is where the milk comes from not your breast tissue itself, your breasts will get bigger though once your milk starts to come in which is usually around day 2-3 after baby is born
Avatar f tn Just had son a few days ago, now my milk is coming in and my breast are hurting so bad right now. They are hard in some places. Is there anything I do to release the pressure.
Avatar f tn In a way I find that an odd explanation .... it sounds to me that the milk ducts have been blocked for some reason. Sorry, but I thought you had tried that breast pump experiment; I'm glad you have decided against it :). If as I said the milk ducts were clogged then this might be a problem and may need some attention in the future.
Avatar f tn Yep my moms said the same same about the breast milk in the eye!!
Avatar f tn How far along are you? It could be your milk ducts filling up with milk.
Avatar n tn Don't worry. Breast milk doesn't come in until a few days after the birth (before that it's colostrum - with my first baby there was no sign of that either until my son was born). Incidentally, the milk is actually made in ducts under your armpits, not in your boobs, so breast size is no indication at all of how much milk your body can make. I'm small chested (34a) and had no problems at all.
Avatar f tn I had the milk ducts removed from my right breast a few years ago because of nipple discharge. Can you still get cancer in that breast with the milk ducts removed.
1461017 tn?1285812782 A papilloma is a non-cancerous, wart-like tumor with a branching or stalk that has grown inside the breast duct. Papillomas frequently involve the large milk ducts near the nipple. Multiple papillomas may also be found in the small breast ducts further from the nipple. Of the benign conditions that cause suspicious nipple discharge, approximately half is due to papilloma and the other half is a mixture of benign conditions such as fibrocystic conditions (i.e.
Avatar f tn ve never been pregnant before. Your breasts are growing, Your milk ducts are filling.
Avatar f tn Its most likely your milk ducts preparing for breastfeeding hun. If it is too bothersome, bring it up to your OB.
Avatar n tn Size matters not! It's not the size but how many milk ducts you have. Big doesn't necessarily mean you have lots of ducts and sane with the reverse. Yoy might have to nurse more often but you shouldn't have any issues. If you're concerned contact a lactation consultant.
Avatar f tn (hopefully someone replies) so im planning on breastfeeding and want to know if taking any kind of breast milk supplement to be able to have a better flow is best to start taKing now (im 38 weeks by the way) or wait until baby arrives?...
Avatar n tn hey, i had a breast reduction 12 years ago. with my first i got colostrum five days before delivery. i wasn't well prepared and i gave up trying to breast feed after two days. i didn't know if i was producing any milk and my son was getting anxious to eat, so i gave in. i also have to say i did not have a great support system at the time. this time around though I am determined to try harder.
Avatar f tn Because the incision was done through areola it may have severed nerves/ducts, so whilst milk production is still normal, expressing milk (or getting milk to reach the nipple if ducts have been severed) may be a struggle. I had implants 3 years ago (crease incision) and have been going to specialist preparing to breast feed classes for mom's with implants, because some have lost nipple sensation or have had areola incision it may be more difficult but not necessarily impossible to feed.
Avatar n tn So not sure if anyone can help in here, but I really want to be able to breast feed but I had a breast reduction in 2011 and was told I may not be able to coz they cut A LOT off /away and messed up my milk ducts etc. Just wondering if anyone in here has had any experience, or knows anyone who has been able to breast feed after this surgery??
Avatar n tn Hi Lump - It's hard to tell - only your doctor can truly answer and guide you. I have had 3 surgeries in 10 months and from my experience I have had scar tissue built up in the area where the surgeries were. But, after milk ducts removed in right breast (DCIS) another mass did form & had to be removed behind where the milk ducts were. Then again another MRI showed behind the nipple was another mass which had to be removed (same breast).
Avatar f tn Depending on where at in ur arm pits it could be clogged milk ducts or you could be gorged since you quit breast feeding and pumping. I use to get clogged milked ducts all the time. Somtimes I had to put warm compresses on it and massage The bump then pump or breast feed. If ur pump broke you might be able to find a hand pump cheap or even hand express. If it doesn't go away I would go in to see u dr. It could be an infection that u have to take an antibiotic I know I had to do that.
Avatar f tn I would think that result would mean that there may be some congestion involving the milk ducts which might be producing this discharge. Actually breast discharge isn't all that unusual. It is good though that a sample of the fluid was sent to the Lab. The milk ducts are often involved in some process that isn't quite normal and some discharge will be produced as a result. This should be watched and the recommendations seem very reasonable. Regards ....
Avatar f tn He also said for breast feeding moms to drip breast milk in the eye. I thought I would give it a try before bed, and by morning the eye goop didn't come back and it was all better. Boob milk is magic!
Avatar m tn I do not think that this has anything to do with Breast Cancer. Problems involving the milk ducts are not all that unusual and can be treated by various methods. A Breast Specialist could do some in depth investigation as to the cause of your particular issue. Regards .....
9038886 tn?1402125726 Make sure the infected breast is empty as much as possible without neglecting the other. If you feel clogged ducts massage them. You can even take a massager or anything that gently vibrates and put on the lump to help break it up. Warm compresses help also. Good luck! BF is an amazing bonding experience and I hope you are able to go as long as you want.
1083673 tn?1388888638 When my daughter was born she would not latch on at all. Then my milk ducts got clogged so my milk supply was very low. Are you sure you don't have any clogged milk ducts that are making the milk flow very slow? After I got better my daughter stated latching on and now she only wants the boob. I also notice that she spits up a lot when I bottle feed her. Have you tried the Enfamil AR formula? That one really helps my daughter with her spit ups, but I only give it to her about 2 times a day.
Avatar f tn I have had the scan today and was told nothing obvious was showing up but if it continued by the end of september he wants to remove the ducts from that breast. Will leave me with odd sized boobs? Is it needed( the procedure)? Will I look odd? He mentioned a possibility of losing the nipple. How likely is that? What would happen if I didn't get it done? Would they do the same to both breasts?
Avatar f tn I feed him my breastmilk and formula milk. I have noticed a small lump in my left breast. Is it clogged milk duct? I take a shower with hot water to compress it, but over the night, my breast feels heavy like rock. When I press it, I feel little pea Size rock. What could it be? P. S my baby isn't latching, I have tried everything.
Avatar f tn I believe it has something to do with things enlarging, your milk ducts, etc. .I went up a cup size in a short time and no more shooting pains. Still sore but no shooting pains.
