Avatar f tn My baby turned 2 weeks ago yesterday and was breast and bottle feeding, but we have been moving and so feeding him by bottle was more convenient since I did not have any place to sit down and actually breastfeed him. He has strictly had a bottle for over 24 hours now and won't latch onto me anymore. I still want to breastfeed and feel so guilty and upset that he won't eat from me anymore.
Avatar f tn So ive got 9 Weeks to go and all going to plan I be breast feeding. The thing thats just come up is we have a heap of family coming up to where we live. (its 15 hours from everyone). I wanna be able to have a few drinks with everyone. But I also dont want to mess up bubs feeding/confuse her. Is it ok to give her the occasional bottle or should you just stick to one or the other? She should be about 2 Weeks old when they visit.

888438 tn?1241046535 Cabbage leaves are amazing at drying up the breasts. Put them in when they are cold and when they becomes soft/wilted looking replace them. There is something about the cabbage leaves that helps stop lactation. A warm shower will bring relief, but also stimulates the breasts and will delay your desire to stop lactation. If possible, avoid stimulating the breasts directly. Squeeze your pouf below you chin and let the soap slide down the breasts to cleanse them.

Avatar f tn At the beginning I was planning on breast feeding but thinking and having to deal with my cronic headaches and migraines. . I want to be able to care for and enjoy my son.
Avatar f tn That isnt entirely true^^^^ your breasts will produce colostrum, its full of nutrients that ur baby needs! While breast feeding ur baby the colostrum that will trigger ur milk which csn take up to 3-4 days. Of course the hospital will give u formula but its up to u whether u want to use it!
Avatar n tn by now your milk should have been dried up only usually takes a couple of weeks for it to dry up after stop feeding was you on your cycle when you noticed it sometimes you have milk then too. If your in pain or breasts are hard and hurt i would contact your gyn they can give you a pill to dry up faster.
Avatar f tn If he does, then after a week or so, try doing a bottle mix of ½ breast milk, and ½ regular milk. Gradually go to a bottle mix of ¼ breast milk and ¾ regular milk then totally to all milk. Hoped this helped you.
Avatar f tn I complained nd got so depressed bc I couldn't breast feed , I gave into my my mom && mil nd put him on the bottle now 3 data later I have milk. My boobs hurt so bad I pumped manually last night just to stimulate the nipple. , question is will bby latch on now or should I just pump nd use the bottles that came with the pump ? My gmaw told me since the nipples on the bottle mimics a real nipple it shouldn't be that hard any else bottle feed then turned around and breast fed??

5787652 tn?1378038509 Alternating between breast feeding and bottle can also be part of the reason not to mention if he's over eating that can add to it too.
2207301 tn?1340990867 t be there to breast feed and have someone else give it to baby in a bottle, given the baby have no issue going back and fore between your breast and the bottle. And give the bottle when baby is sleepy so they don't fight too much. Every baby is different but I know plenty of woman who formula feed ( by baby sitter of course) when they are at work and bf the rest of the day.
7143736 tn?1396242800 I'm gonna try fenugreek! I've heard good reviews about it. There's also mother milk tea, and oatmeal.
Avatar f tn I returned to work when he was 7 months so I knew he would be having a bottle too, so started giving him a bottle from about 6 weeks, once a day using expressed Brest milk, I continued to give bottle and breat until 10-11 months when he decided to self wean. I continued to express and gradually introduced cows milk. I'm planning to breastfed my second. It's hard work at the beginning but so worth it in the end.
Avatar f tn cos there r times i might want to sleep and if my baby gets hungry my fiance can feed him with d bottle while i take a nap.or is there a specific time to start bottle feeding with my breast milk or should i just breast feed my baby directly with my breast for d first months of his life??im just 14weeks almst 15 bt i want to know..
Avatar f tn feed as they call it first few days bc they drink the colostrum which is very good for them which eventually by about day 3-4 brings your milk in. When your milk comes in it does not look like store bought milk btw. Its kind of thin and whitish in color. Whereas colostrum is kind of yellowish. But breastfeeding only will be much better for the baby than any bottles for jaundice. And mama6 could not have said it better.
