Avatar n tn I am 21 years old. My mother had breast cancer at age 45, when I was 3 years old. 2 1/2 years later she had it again in the other breast. She died when I was 10 with agressive cancer in her brain and stomach. Cancer has always terrified me, but now I'm more scared than ever.
Avatar n tn One of the supplements he suggests is Oncolyn. I had breast cancer surgery (right breast mastectomy) in July of 07. I had chemo for four months and afterwards had lymph node dissection. I had 16 lymph nodes removed. I am now taking about 10 supplements per day. I'm wondering if I should add Oncolyn? Thank you for your response.
Avatar f tn Most studies indicate that Bell's Palsy is caused by the inflammation of the facial nerve and this can occur as a result of the herpes virus; even herpes simplex. I see no real connection to Breast Cancer Treatment. On occasion it may well happen to someone who is post-treatment for breast cancer but it is known to affect men and women equally / breast cancer, Chemotherapy or not.
Avatar n tn They then claimed that a premature delivery before 32 weeks doubles the risk of breast cancer because it leaves more places in the breast for cancer to start. Avatar n tn I am much, much older than you, and I had a rare type of bc called Inflammatory breast cancer. But circles around my nipple, and the circles changed in size and location, etc, was part of my condition. I am not telling you this because i want to scare you, but since you should see a doctor, at least I think so, you may want to mention that someone on a forum mention those circles to you in relation to bc.

Avatar n tn They said i can wait for another month to get another sonogram done, to see if the size of the nodule has increase. Or I can also do the injection were they will distract two of my lumps for biopsy. But only the two, because the third lump is to big for that procedure. The third would require for open surgery. But from my sonogram and mamogram all lumps looks benign. Should i be worry about the size of the third lump?
Avatar n tn The amplification of the cERBB2 gene in breast cancer cells is associated with a more aggressive cancer phenotype. This gene is amplified in about 20 - 30% of cases. At the present though, two drugs already target the overexpressed protein. These drugs are Herceptin and Lapatinib and has been shown to improve outcomes in breast cancer patients.

Avatar f tn My question was a concern whether shingles type pain without rash on the breast could be a symptom of breast cancer? My GP did a blood test on Friday to determine if herpes/chicken pox virus is in my blood. I will get the results next week. Then I will know whether I need to see a breast specialist. Thanks for your quick response.
