Avatar f tn Why does it seem like I only experience contractions at night time. I'm only 37 weeks & I haven't lost a mucus plug so I'm sure they are braxton Hicks. But I only feel them at night time, anybody else like this?
Avatar f tn Hi all. I am 32 weeks and experiencing contractions every night for the past week. Idk why they only come at night but I don't experience them during the day. They are to the point where it is difficult to breath through them. I don't want to call my doctor because they will only tell me not to worry but I can't help but worry.
Avatar f tn Well ive had braxton hicks for about 3 months it i know how it feels,, braxton hicks are more like my stomach tightening but this is tightening plus cramps
Avatar f tn Yesterday I'd been getting on and off Braxton hicks that were quite painful, they got worse at night so I tried to sleep thinking that if they were Braxton hicks they'd go away. I woke up during the night with some really sore contractions that were every 15 minutes and lasting 63 seconds each.
Avatar f tn So im just over 37 wks and i get braxton hicks all day but thats just the tightening and no pain but every night for a week now i wake up and im having like period cramps and aching in my uterus. I just wanna know why only at night? This is my 3rd baby and before this pregnancy i never had any braxton hicks i never even knew what they felt like. With my other 2 i basically just went into labor with no warning signs.
Avatar n tn I'm 31 weeks today and I have been feeling the Braxton Hicks contractions for a few weeks now, but a few nights ago, I woke up in horrible pain with the tightening on a Braxton Hicks contraction. Was this a real contraction? Is it tooearly for me to have real cintractions? Could my due date be sooner than expected? Idk what to expect for the pain of a real contraction because this is my first pregnancy. Baby has also been moving around alot lately.
Avatar f tn Has anyone else experienced Braxton Hicks every night? I'm 34 weeks and since 32 weeks, every afternoon, I have contractions that hurt sometimes for hours. Anyone else?
Avatar n tn I'm 39 weeks today and started having very strong Braxton hicks last night.y baby moves during them though, like major movement and that makes hem worse... When I sit/lay and try to relax then she start ding bug movements as soon as my Braxton hicks slow and they pick right back up. Wondering if any second or more time moms have some advice, is this early labor im having them a joy every 8-10min even more frequent if I try and walk even to the bathroom.
Avatar f tn Braxton hicks contractions r contractions that make ur belly get really hard and tight. It feels uncomfortable at times and not painful. They come and go at random and u can't prevent them from happening as it's a natural thing ur uterus does. They're practice contractions for when the real thing happens.
Avatar f tn I thought with braxton hicks if you got up and walked they were suppose to get better. One night I was having horrible pains, like contractions, and they wouldn't go away. I called in and they told me to lay down and drink water. If in two hours (from when they started) I still had the pains then I needed to go in. They went away in an hour and a half.
Avatar f tn If they aren't painful could just be Braxton hicks. That is what I have been having. I haven't had real contractions yet. I don't think my boy wants to come before his due date...
Avatar f tn Yesterday, I hiked 2 miles after church, and then last night, I had regular Braxton Hicks every 4-6 minutes for three hours until we went to bed. I woke up three times before midnight with more Braxton Hicks, and they mostly disappeared in the early morning. Since waking up 5 1/2 hours ago, I've been having regular Braxton Hicks about once every 10-12 minutes. I don't really notice them when I'm working around the house, only when I'm still. They're not painful.
Avatar f tn If you can ignore them and go back to sleep probably just braxton hicks my doc told me the real ones are very painful braxton hicks isjust uncomfortable i started having real ones last night and believe me nothing like braxton hicks just drink a bunch of water and if you are active sit and relax or not try to get up and walk they mighy go away but drink lots of water
Avatar f tn I'm currently 30 weeks and last night I had some strange abdominal pain, kind of like menstrual cramps along with lower back pain and also some tightening like contractions. I wasn't worried at first but it kept coming consistently so I decided to time two of them and see how long and how far apart they were. They were lasting about 40 sec and coming every few minutes and that lasted about an hour maybe longer.
Avatar f tn 38 weeks tomorrow and idk if I am having contractions or not, since last night every hour or so I get a tight cramping feeling through out my stomach and start to breath very heavy. Am I having contractions?
Avatar f tn Yes contractions can start before water breaks. I've experienced Braxton Hicks contractions that have lasted hours every 5 - 10 minutes but never increasing in intensity or becoming labor. With my first it wasn't until I was induced 11 days past due date that I felt a real contraction, and tomorrow is my due date with #2 and only Braxton Hicks so far.....when it's the real thing you won't be able to talk during a contraction and eventually your water will break.
Avatar f tn Has anyone else had any Braxton hicks contractions? I'm 24+6 and had to go to triage last night due to tightening. I didn't have any pain but they told me it was braxton hicks contractions and just to monitor them. When you get them, what do you recommend to stop it or get through it?
Avatar f tn m due November 20 and already dilated to a 3 and have a mixture of Braxton hicks and normal contractions everything once in a while so far more Braxton hicks than anything
Avatar f tn t stop, then you could be in the very early stages of labor. Last night could have just been Braxton hicks that went away. Just keep timing them, and once they're about 5 mins apart and about a min long, for 1 hour, call your ob. Good luck!
Avatar f tn I read up that water can bring on contractions worse but could do the total opposite aswell.
Avatar f tn ) so last night i started having these pains and im not sure what they were maybe braxton hicks contractions or just pains. It felt like a bad case of sciatic pain/round ligament pain/ menstrual cramps all at once. It hurt for about ten minutes then left never came back not sure what it was.. anyone?
Avatar f tn With my first, my water broke, so all my contractions happened in the hospital with pitocin. With my second, all my contractions happened over one day and night, but I thought I was having gas pains and constipated. I had no other Braxton Hicks contractions leading up to that day. With this one, I have been having Braxton Hicks contractions since last night, and I am now 1-2 cm dilated, and they don't feel the same as my contractions last time.
5110781 tn?1378361950 Happens to me. I went into preterm labor last week at 34 weeks. And those lasted 5-7 mins and was at night.. But now I only normally get painful ones again at night too. My doctor said Braxton Hicks cause they only normally come at night. But don't self check for dilation.. If you don't know what your doing you could do something wrong.
Avatar f tn Are they regular? Can you time them at all? Feeling by your ribs makes me think they are braxton hicks and just your body's way of getting ready, but you know your body better than anyone else so keep an eye on it and call dr with any questions or to get opinion.
Avatar f tn Braxton hicks contractions don't hurt..
Avatar f tn •noticeably longer •more regular •more frequent •more painful •keep on going, increasing in frequency, duration, and intensity as time goes on Hope that helps.
Avatar f tn Sounds like braxton hicks, or at least that's exactly how it feels for me
