Braxton hicks contractions at six months

Common Questions and Answers about Braxton hicks contractions at six months

contractions

Apparently a funnel can close up again if you get the pressure off it. Problem is, I'm still having some Braxton-Hickses, and this morning it WAS actually six in an hour. So I drank a bunch of water and laid back down, and things are calmer now. Still, I hope this doesn't continue for the rest of the pregnancy, and I REALLY hope it doesn't mean an early labor. I'm just starting week 29 now and would be so much calmer if it was week 32.
You don't get braxton hick contractions until maybe at the earliest 7 months...usually you get them, if you get them, in the 8th month. What you are feeling is probably your uterus stretching.
If my Braxton Hicks contractions are 7 to 9 minutes apart is that cause for alarm? This is my second pregnancy but I only carried my first pregnancy for six and a half months so I do not know what is normal at this point.
30 I woke up with very mild contractions starting in my back. They did not get stronger or closer together, and they lasted for a few hours and then stopped. Ever sense it has been fine only with Braxton Hicks increasing like crazy, but no pain. I am 33 weeks 4 days pregnant and this is my second baby. With my first I just went into labor..BAM, and it hurt. Should I be concerned?
Braxton hicks contractions are normal. I've had them since about 29 weeks, one day i had them non stop for six hours. I think if you are overdoing things then they do tend to come more often, i get them when i've done a lot of housework or when i've been for a long walk. If your worried about whether they're real contractions just sit down for a while when you get them.
Its either round ligament pain or braxton hicks contractions both are extremely normal. Just drink extra fluids and the cramping will go away.
so i went to hospital. i was have BRAXTON hicks or false labor contractions six mins apart for a hour. and nothing was helping. so i went and after the whole or deal. they said false labor gave me a shot said babies looked great and also said i AM dilated to a one. i AM only twenty nine weeks pregnant. does that mean i will dilate fast and have early babies? or can i possibly just say at a one?
( 1)how much worse are real contractions compared to Braxton hicks contractions? Or how bad are contractions when they just start? 2) Has anyone else had a really sharp stabbing pain inside the vagina around 36 weeks? It hurts for just a second but it hurts really bad. What could it be? 3)If I'm having Braxton hicks a lot what does that mean? 4)What do they do at the 3D ultrasound? Do they stick it up your vagina?
I went into labor at 37.5 weeks. I had been having A LOT of braxton hicks contractions and then started to have the real ones.
Another issue I've been having since about the 20th week of pregnancy has been the consistent Braxton Hicks contractions. I would bring this up to my OB at every visit for the last four visits, and I've been checked for dilation and effacement each time, and thankfully, my little guy is staying put with no issues. However, my BH contractions often are in the "concerning level," generally being more than six an hour most days and generally less than 10 minutes apart.
It sounds to me like you were experiencing braxton hicks contractions. Remember that period cramps are your uterus contracting in order to shed the lining. Braxton hicks are your uterus doing practice contractions so it can very well feel the same. A braxton hicks contraction will feel like just your uterus getting tighterr and harder and then releasing.
I have had 3 kids, and with the first I had just a few early contractions, with my second, they seemed to come sooner, and stronger, and with my 3rd I was having braxton hicks and real contractions ALOT and early too...I think that with each subsequent child, they start earlier, and seem stronger....I really hope that made sense... But I would for sure call and see what they say!! Try not to worry mama, I know easier said than done....
As for the rest of the pregnancy, I've struggled with morning sickness, reflux, spastic colon, Braxton-Hicks contractions that exceeded more than six per hour some days, tachycardia, extreme muscle weakness, and for some reason nasal congestion every single night that is so bad I have to breathe through my mouth, resulting in a sore throat most mornings. And then pre-term labor at 33½ weeks, followed up with thankfully only three weeks of bed rest. I mean, what the heck?!
I have an OB apt tomorrow. Im going to let him know. I've been having braxton hicks. About 4 days now. Verrrry low cramping. I have noooo clue what to expect. We will see. Any advice?
I have had early labor symptoms, tons of painful braxton hicks contractions, so I think he might be born early. I just took my last pill today and plan on abstaining for the duration of my pregnancy. I consider myself somewhat of a controlled addict in that I do not abuse the pills because I've never taken more than two in one day but I do use the pills at times- for emotional reasons.
I am terrified that I will not recognize contractions and stuff, and in the last few weeks it scares me because at almost six months pregnant my belly is growing all the time and it seems that I am always a bit crampy, or bloated, etc. Discomfort comes and goes all the time and I feel like I am on red alert going, "was that a braxton hicks contraction?" and "did I just have four or more in an hour?" I'm so inexperienced with all of this ladies!
And here's another website's take on it (and she emphasizes greatly that it won't INDUCE labor but these items can HELP things along and help with recovery). I forgot about the part that the tea helps make your contractions more "effective" if that makes sense. Evening Primrose Oil and Red Raspberry Leaf Tea Neither will actually induce labor.
I know im a worrier but when they keep beating into your head bleeding is bad bleeding isn't suppose to happen for the nine months then all of a sudden im bleeding as much as i did it freaked me out. fortunately my braxton hicks have calmed down so much so Im thinking im in the clear on early labor.
I have 58 days left and i am right along with you ladies so ready for my baby girl to be here i have hip pain so bad its unbearable i cant move at night without wanting to cry has this happened to anyone else?
I've also read in a couple different books to drink a glass of wine if you are having horrible braxton hicks contractions to help relax you and slow them down if you're worried you'll go into pre-term labor. I have also heard that in the 2nd (though more the 3rd) trimester that its ok to have a glass of wine every once in a while.
Sex to Induce Labor Semen contains prostaglandins. Prostaglandins cause the cervix to "ripen", or soften and prepare to open. While it is debatable whether there are enough prostaglandins in semen to have any real effect, it is not a terrible way to keep hope alive and while away the last weeks of your pregnancy. Another great side effect is the fact that orgasms produce oxytocin, the hormone that causes contractions.
I am so miserable about now... my pelvis is separating, I'm having braxton hicks, my hips are separating, I'm tired, my back hurts, working a full time job, chasing after a six year old and carrying around an eleven month old, I'm up all night peeing, cant get out of bed when i DO have to pee, and I'm sooo tired of sneezing and peeing myself. I could go on and on lol. There are definitely people out there that can relate to exactly what you are going through.
With my son at least I had braxton hicks everyday...telling me that my body was doing something, with this little boy..Nothing!! My son was 8lbs10oz...and I am small, tilted pelvis...so it took 2 hours of pushing, and them using the vaccuum to suck him out, which caused an infection!! So I don't want another big baby like that, and go through that...so a little earlier, and a little smaller won't hurt....if he is not that big now...my belly is huge!!
Last appointment I was 3cm been drinking raseberry leaf tea and trying everything lol sex. Walking.
I ask her if we could be wrong on the due date and she said no because I had one a four weeks, one at five weeks, one at six weeks, and one at eight weeks. She said with them being that early they can't be off more than 5 days. I also have extra fluid in my uturus. Not to much but the high end of normal. Dr. said last week with the size of the baby and the fluid my uturus is the size of a 41w pregnant woman. What is it going to be like in a couple of weeks. No wonder why I am misrable.
I am not worry about it, just though that with my fisrt DD it pop out around six months. Is your shepperd chewing on the toys? Nursery is what I stil have left to do, so have no idea what will my flatcoat do.
Hi Mommies! Ok, so for the past two or three months ive been having braxton hicks contrations, been to L&D twice now and gave me medicine to relax my uturus. But lately well the past few days I can feel my baby move really low, I mean REALLY low to the point where I cant breath because I start to cramp and get hot flashes. Im getting the contrations every 10 min and when standing every 5-2 mins.
