Avatar f tn Hi I was diagnosed with a brain cyst by my GP, she said that I probably had it since birth. She didn't really do much explaining except that it wasn't anything serious and wasn't the cause of my daily headaches. She had an MRI done on me which came out fine. I was just wondering, I have been getting my headaches back again quite often, and I was wondering if these cysts can grow?

Avatar f tn 1 year ago i solved my phimosis problem and get a frenulum operation. After the operation, i witness red spot on my glans but my urologist said it was nothing. It was sensitive so i went through several doctors who said that was nothing/mycosis/infection and i used a lot of creams and lotion on it. Then i forget about it because all the doctors said that i should not be worried about that. But 3weeks ago my nightmare starts. First i had some redness rash on my penis glans. The redness grew.

Avatar f tn Dear doctor, My 5 months old daughter has a congenital entropion of the right lower eyelid. We have visited our local ophtalmologist in Latvia 4 months ago. She told us that this eyelid will come to normal with time. 4 months are over, but there is not any positive dynamics. The question, I would like to ask: "Does my daughter need the operation or the eyelid will come to normal with time? At what age she can be operated?
Avatar f tn any one had a mass or cluster in brain an had it removed an doing well or had radiation an doing wewll
Avatar n tn In the second case, the extent of the damage will depend on the areas of the brain affected by the stroke. However, I don’t think that your father has any damage in his brain. The most important thing is to keep his vital functions and good oxygenation levels. I hope this has been of some help. I think the best thing to do is to try getting answers from his doctors. They should give you more specific details and you would feel much better about him. I hope to hear good news soon.

Avatar f tn I had a brain MRI four years ago that came back with four lesions in white matter. They thought I had Ms but spinal tap came back ok. I just recently had another brain MRI with results of no lesions but something is there not a stroke or bleed. Now they are sending me to a neurologist for further consultation. Do brain lesions go away? I’m so confused! Can’t get an accurate diagnosis.
Avatar n tn They access your pineal region from beneath the brain, so they do not affect your brain at all. It sounds like a scary procedure but is actually straightforward for a good brain neurosurgeon. The surgeon essentially inserts a microscopic endoscope that magnifies the area by 50x and uses a navigation system to get him there. It is minimally invasive. The medical literature says that most patients whose pineal cysts are not too large (e.g., < 4.
Avatar m tn My husband has a hole in his brain. due to which he is getting weak day by day but one thing which i realy can't understand is, sometime blood came out from his mouth and extream headach started, the beats at 102 or somtime 109 pulse per minute. is the treatment possible through medicines or the operation is necessary?
Avatar m tn So in 4 februar of 2008 year I passed one head-neuro operation in the IRAN. The opearation lasted approx. 30 minute. But after operation I felt my self very perfect. So after 10 monthes thats now (december) Im again disturbed by the same headache. I have to note that during the surgeon operation there was put one apparatus to suck the pile of water from the left hemisphere side over the brain (left side).
Avatar m tn I understand that this cognitive function deterioration is due to the cyst in the parietal region of the brain. Consult your neurosurgeon for analysis of both the cysts including the one in the parietal region and the cerebellum. Depending on the large size and other pressure symptoms like headaches, nausea, blurred vision reflecting increased intracranial pressure, these would require a craniotomy and excision. Hope this helps. Take care.
Avatar f tn I don't know about the shunt, but I do know that while ANY operation on the brain carries risk of some changes in mental agility, nevertheless from what I understand, cysts are so well-defined by being encapsulated, that the possibility of damaging nearby structures is minimal.
Avatar f tn hello, I was told yesterday the cyst on my left ovary has to be removed as it is growing fast, I'm very worried about having the operation whilst pregnant. Has anybody gone through this and could post there stories? I keep looking at my little baby scan photo.
Avatar m tn I don't think so. My experience with MRIs and lesions is based on my own brain as well as work I've done in the field (but I'm not a physician). MS lesions are typically quite visible, looking like white spots or splotches, often with poorly defined edges. Use your favorite search engine to see sample images, and you'll note the difference between those and the MRI you posted. Anyone who wants to correct my impression of this MRI and MS lesions, please do so.
