Avatar f tn am I going to take some *hit over this one but yes I have used Botox a few times for my forehead wrinkles but I wear bangs so not something I will do again ... and during one of my daughter's stints in rehab I had my eyes done. I did it because I was so tired of people saying "are you tired" " you look tired" "are you not sleeping?" Well no as a matter of fact my daughter is an oxy addict and I haven't slept in months!!
1068968 tn?1256169388 My Neuro Doc suggested we try botox injections for the head pain that has been my biggest and worst symptom.... Constant 24/7 pain in the back of my head. Anyway, I had the botox injections on Dec 17th. I was warned that it might work, it might not. It can start to work two weeks after the injections are done, but it might not start to work until you go back for the next session three months later... this is still pretty experimental for headaches.

601038 tn?1240252893 At least we can laugh lol Im glad I have company in that department. My mother has a very rare desease that makes her neck shake all the time. She takes botox injections in her neck and it helps a lot but it's for medical reasons. Im waiting for them to come out with a new study saying how bad it is. I figure if I get wrinkles I earned them, no big deal. Some people are so vane.
401095 tn?1351391770 I have desperately wanted to try Botox for my migraines but ins. doesn't cover. Please let me know how it works for you. I know you are not getting it in your head but I'm curious as to how well it works in the body in general. Good luck to you and I truly hope you find relief.
Avatar n tn Hello, The advertised creams have not proved in efficacy to tackle under eye wrinkles. For undereye wrinkles, botox shots and collagen fillers have proven to be very effective and hence I suggest you to consult a dermatologist and discuss it in detail. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps.
Avatar f tn I have low ferritin and I’m wondering if there is a correlation between ferritin levels and Botox- because botox doesn’t seem to cause hair loss for most people- trying to figure out why it would affect certain people in this way.
1068968 tn?1256169388 Saw my NL yesterday. He's awesome and we're working together to try to keep me out of the OR. He's done studies on Botox injections for headaches and has had very good results with this on all types of patients (migraine, Chiari, brain trauma, cancer patients, etc). Our goal is to control my symptoms and keeps me out of pain as much as possible so I can remain functioning and narcotic free. Has anyone tried Botox? I'm still researching it myself.
1913502 tn?1330388192 Botox is not a solution for dry skin although it does plump up those wrinkles temporarily. Personally, I don't think it's a good idea during tx to add something toxic to our bodies including our skin. Botox is made from botulism. The best thing you can do besides drinking lots of fluids is keep using moisturizer, wear a hat, cover up and use sun block while in the sun. I found rosehip seed oil to be great for my face.
198419 tn?1360242356 HOLY SCHMOLEY, ANYONE ELSE SEEING THE WRINKLES COMING OFF OF THAT WOMAN's EYES, CHEEKS, LIPS, THIGH, BUTT AND HIPS! Duuuuuuuuuurrrrnnnnnnn that is good stuff! I just don't see ads like this in the daytime! Pardon my amazement!
382218 tn?1341181487 I am dx as only "probable ms" , but am dx with Sarcoidosis (another autoimmune disease). I used to have horrid headaches. I say 'used to' because I now get Botox in my forehead, around eyes, and have gotten fillers around my nose-mouth area, and under eyes. And....yep, I also had breast augmentaion about 5 years ago. Please note, I would NEVER, and I say NEVER, have anyone inject botox or fillers except a plactic surgeon.
Avatar n tn I also have similar features as my mother, and she has very few wrinkles, but prominent wrinkles between her eyebrows. I try to wear sunglasses and not squint, but is there any specific product I could apply to help prevent wrinkles developing there? Thank you!

184674 tn?1360860493 http://uk.lifestyle.yahoo.com/family-parenting/mother-gives-botox-injections-to-her-eightyearold-daughter-blog-81-yahoo-lifestyles.html [I guess the question here is...what do you all think of child beauty pageants?] A British woman, originally from Birmingham and now living in San Francisco, has admitted to giving her eight-year-old daughter Botox injections to 'get rid of her wrinkles'.
Avatar f tn Hello. I recently (2 wks ago) recieved a minimal amount of botox in my forehead. I knew at the time that I wanted to get pregnant soon & researched the risks but couldn't get any clear info on whether or not it would be harmful to a fetus if I recieved the botox BEFORE actually getting pregnant. The Dr. who injected the botox seems to believe that it is safe for me to try & get pregnant right away. Now that I have had it I feel that it was a mistake.
Avatar n tn The cloudy area is on the outside of both eyes, outside, or to my right for the right eye and for the left eye, it's on my left hand side. To draw a picture of this: cloudy -----> |EYE| NOSE |EYE| <----- cloudy Is this what you mean when you say "If the cloud area of vision are in the same side"? The cloudiness sometimes appears in the middle of the eye on either side, but this is not nearly as frequent as the outside.
Avatar f tn I had a left temporal lobectomy for refractory epilepsy and a brain tumor, and have had chronic pain from the craniotomy for the past three and a half years. Has anyone tried botox injections to address such pain? I have read mixed reviews...some people got headaches from the injections, one person had a seizure, and others were helped.
1663373 tn?1333635989 I had to share that I had botox injections for headaches yesterday (no they didn't take out any wrinkles). It was 32 injections around my head and neck and my NL whom I love and have so much respect and trust for told me not to expect anything for 5 days well I felt better today than I have felt in forever!! The pain and muscle tension is not completely gone but the change in myself is huge. I am praying that it continues to get better.
Avatar f tn Hello, Retin A is tretinoin which is basically used for acne and it may cause dermatitis, redness, irritation, genitourinary, hepatic, ocular and nervous side effects. I suggest you to consult a dermatologist before using it for wrinkles. You can also go in for botox treatment. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
739070 tn?1338603402 HI All, I received this update on one of the medical sites I use and thought there might be some interest. Botox has been used off-label for urinary incontinence but it is FDA approved which may help those whose insurance won't pay for off-label use of drugs. The article is shown below: FDA NEWS RELEASE For Immediate Release: August 25, 2011 Media Inquiries: Jeffrey Ventura, 301-796-2807, jeffrey.
