Avatar f tn I have been looking into this blood type diet myself being a blood type O but recently I have become concerned if I suffer manic episodes or am bipolar. Certain periods in my life become notably amazing. Usually when Im relatively lean I find myself with too much energy than I know what to do with! My social life improves dramatically! I quit 2 different jobs during these periods of "high". I almost become contagious during these periods wishing I could feel like this forever!
Avatar f tn If a certain food spikes you up say over 140 you might try a lesser amount of that food or just eliminate it from your diet. It is not really possible to make a list of foods to eat and not eat because we are all different. But a diet of protein and lots of fresh vegies, small amounts of fruit and small amounts of carbs should do best.
1026267 tn?1257591273 I don't know if almond or rice milk have the iodine in them or not, but there is one other thing that might be of help here. I found out that people with type "O" blood should not use coconut or palm anything, even the healthy extra virgin kind. I also found out that dairy isn't really good for type "O" people either.
Avatar f tn It would help if I had a list of foods to go grocery shopping for, and what I could or couldn't eat.
Avatar n tn Make nutritionally sound choices from the core food groups, including low-fat dairy, lean protein, fruits, vegetables and whole grains, but don’t shy away from calorie-dense options that are also full of nutrients. Examples of high-calorie foods that can find a place in your diet include avocados, nuts, nut butter, seeds, low-fat cheese, beans, whole grains, dried fruit and fiber-rich cereal. One or two protein shakes into your daily diet to increase your calorie and protein intake.
Avatar f tn So tell us what you stopped eating, and what you started eating? What type of foods are you now consuming?
1085545 tn?1284042254 It is hard to say what foods are available in your region of India along with foods restricted by your religious beliefs. These Google search results should help you find the answer to your question, especially in the last two links. http://tinyurl.com/indian-diet http://tinyurl.com/indian-nutrition http://tinyurl.com/indian-glycemic http://tinyurl.
1666434 tn?1325262350 Care must be taken, however, as not all foods can be eaten by all diabetics. Even though the ADA list specific foods first discuss with grandmother about foods that may affect her glucose levels in a negative manner.
Avatar m tn And while some ethnic foods in this country might not often make a list of healthy foods (what many Americans confuse for Mexican food is anything with a ton of cheese on it), certainly a lot of Indian cuisine is extremely healthy! Lots of vegetarian options, lots of great spices, and the regular use of curcumin (turmeric) which is considered to be a potentially powerful "superfood" against cancer and inflammation.
Avatar f tn I began the Ultra thistle/Liv52/SST regimen with high antioxidant supplements. Also, I began to eat the Living raw foods program. My latest blood results show better AST/ALT's from January, but falling platelets, wbc's and K...also ferratin is a sky-high 427 (as a result of liver inflammation, most probably). Can anyone share experience with the combo of raw foods and blood values and hep c? Can anyone recommend a holistic MD somewhere in the mid-Atlantic area who can help me?
774736 tn?1311331385 It certainly can! Even if you don't have a true allergy and don't have definite Celiac--yes, you can get brain fog from gluten. Particularly if you have gluten intolerance. If you have other issues, such as IBS or if you get migraines or if you have blood type O, you should definitely stay away from gluten. Yep, your blood type matters. I got this information from "Eat Right for Your Blood Type" written by Dr. Peter J. D'Adamo. Glutenology.
Avatar m tn I'd stay away from a lot of sugary foods as well as citrus, but I have always eaten a healthy diet (that I think held me in good stead with all this) and I have always tried to stay away from sugar and processed foods as much as I possibly can. Just eat healthy and don't go too long between meals (you'll feel better, if I went too long between a meal I felt weaker) that's just my opinion, others have theirs. Good luck!
Avatar m tn I can't add too much to the good advice you've already received but just a couple comments: Binge eating is often a combination of emotional (using food to deal with feelings) and physical. Carbs and sugar most of all are truly addictive. When you eliminate the sugar and reduce your intake of carbs you may find you have a significant reduction in cravings. Then you just need to deal with the psychological aspects.
Avatar f tn You might be able to see the food under your “Recent” foods list even though it’s not displaying on your daily log. If it does display on your“Recent” foods list, you should be able to add it from there and have it displayed. Hope that helps! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
Avatar f tn They only give you O type blood if they have to because its a neutral blood type and your body wont reject it.
Avatar f tn ) ut im conserned on the fact that i have O- blood type and My OBGYN did say that on the 2nd time expecting it was more risking... Does any one know more info about this? I realldy didnt get much just the part that my body attacks the baby... So HELP!
Avatar f tn Reason why, the only reason why having o- blood type is a problem is if your baby has a different blood type then you and for some reason your blood is mixed during pregnancy then your body will not recognize it and try to fight it off like an infection. It will create antibodies but those antibodies only happen in second, third, or any other pregnancy in the future.Your body won't make them during your first.
Avatar m tn I would watch the following foods that raise blood glucose levels: 1. Fruit has fruit sugar [fructose]. Limit the amount and eat fruits with other foods to slow glucose entering into your blood stream. Test after "each" fruit. Avoid those that raise your levels. 2. White rice is carbohydrates which turn into sugar after eating. Cut back on the amount eaten. 3. Most yogurt has sugar as do dairy products. Cut back or avoid consumption.
1303999 tn?1279581926 I did a search for drug interactions and found that hypoglygemic agents (metformin) and insulin may be diminished by certain drugs; there's a whole list of them, but thyroid hormones, is one on the list, that's why your instructions said you might have to alter your diabetes med. 898_1 -- that's interesting about metformin suppressing TSH if one has TPO antibodies.
